sacx:This is what Ephesians 2:15 says. Ephesians 2:15, KJV: "Having abolished in his flesh the enmity, even the law of commandments contained in ordinances; for to make in himself of twain one new man, so making peace;" Leave that guy alone he knows nothing. |
alBHAGDADI:You that read the Bible so those things where changed and tithing was not changed. Tithing was part of the law and everything was changed. The law was abolished including tithing. Pls read this bible verses and stop this argument about the law not been abolished The law was abolished. Acts The law is an unbearable yoke. (Acts 15:10) Romans The law reveals sin but cannot fix it. (Romans 3:20) If the law worked then faith would be irrelevant. (Romans 4:14) The law brings wrath upon those who follow it. (Romans 4:15) The purpose of the law was to increase sin. (Romans 5:20) Christians are not under the law. (Romans 6:14) Christians have been delivered from the law. (Romans 7:1-6) The law is good, perfect and holy but cannot help you be good, perfect or holy. (Romans 7:7-12) The law which promises life only brings death through sin. (Romans 7:10) The law makes you sinful beyond measure. (Romans 7:13) The law is weak. (Romans 8:2-3) 1 Corinthians The strength of sin is the law (1 Corinthians 15:56) 2 Corinthians The law is a ministry of death. (2 Corinthians 3:7) The law is a ministry of condemnation. (2 Corinthians 3:9) The law has no glory at all in comparison with the New Covenant. (2 Corinthians 3:10) The law is fading away. (2 Corinthians 3:11) Anywhere the law is preached it produces a mind-hardening and a heart-hardening veil. (2 Corinthians 3:14-15) Galatians The law justifies nobody. (Galatians 2:16) Christians are dead to the law. (Galatians 2:19) The law frustrates grace. (Galatians 2:21) To go back to the law after embracing faith is “stupid”. (Galatians 3:1) The law curses all who practice it and fail to do it perfectly. (Galatians 3:10) The law has nothing to do with faith. (Galatians 3:11-12) The law was a curse that Christ redeemed us from. (Galatians 3:13) The law functioned in God’s purpose as a temporary covenant from Moses till John the Baptist announced Christ. (Galatians 3:16 & 19, also see… Matthew 11:12-13, Luke 16:16) If the law worked God would have used it to save us. (Galatians 3:21) The law was our prison. (Galatians 3:23) The law makes you a slave like Hagar. (Galatians 4:24) Ephesians Christ has abolished the law which was a wall of hostility (Ephesians 2:15) Philippians Paul considered everything the law gained him as “skybalon” which is Greek for “poop”. (Philippians 3:4- ![]() 1 Timothy The law is only good if used in the right context. (1 Timothy 1: (see next verse for the context)It was made for the unrighteous but not for the righteous. (1 Timothy 1:9-10) Hebrews The law is weak, useless and makes nothing perfect. (Hebrews 7:18-19) God has found fault with it and created a better covenant, enacted on better promises. (Hebrews 8:7- ![]() It is obsolete, growing old and ready to vanish. (Hebrews 8:13) It is only a shadow of good things to come and will never make someone perfect. (Hebrews 10:1) Well there you have it… 37 scriptures that make a very convincing arguement. |
alBHAGDADI:Stop been a confudionist. Pls which descendant did Aaron came from if not from levy...why are you confusing yourself the more. Melchizedek received Abraham tithes does not mean we should continue in that light. Abraham was coming back from war he meet Melchizedek and gave him 10% of the loot not from what he has and he never did that again. Note Abraham didn't give from his blessings but from his loot...so you mean if we are to pay tithe according to how Abraham did we should go to war loot whatever we see and give 10% to the priest. You are simply confusionist. |
alBHAGDADI:You see why i said you don't understand the Bible as you claim. Why are you not practising the Passover night, the unleavened bread, wearing of one apparel, keeping your Beard's without shaving, sending your wife or sisters away when they are on their menses etc why are you not practising it since the law was not abolished. Guy as of when Christ had not died the law was still in place because he had to fulfill it by his death and gives us grace. The practice of the new testament started when Christ resurrected and the apostles kept the new law which is Grace. |
alBHAGDADI:Who is using Bible translation? Guy go and study other Bible version and stop relying only on KJV because King James knew there are other Bible version that is why he called his own version KJV. |
alBHAGDADI:The priest comes from the levites tribe. Which tribe do you think Aaron came from? it's from the tribe of levites and they are mandated to carry out priesthood functions. My guy study your Bible very well. |
Anyone that is paying tithe or observing part of the law is committing sin and under the curse of the law. The law had been abolished by Christ. |
alBHAGDADI:Now I know you don't know what you are saying. The levites are the only people mandated to collect tithe pls read Num 18-21-24 and Deut 26-12. Our Nigeria pastors are not levites so they have no right to collect tithe. |
For those of you that keep saying Christ didn't abolished the law pls read Galatians 2-14-18. [14] When I saw that they were not following the truth of the gospel message, I said to Peter in front of all the others, “Since you, a Jew by birth, have discarded the Jewish laws and are living like a Gentile, why are you now trying to make these Gentiles follow the Jewish traditions? [15] “You and I are Jews by birth, not ‘sinners’ like the Gentiles. [16] Yet we know that a person is made right with God by faith in Jesus Christ, not by obeying the law. And we have believed in Christ Jesus, so that we might be made right with God because of our faith in Christ, not because we have obeyed the law. For no one will ever be made right with God by obeying the law.”[17] But suppose we seek to be made right with God through faith in Christ and then we are found guilty because we have abandoned the law. Would that mean Christ has led us into sin? Absolutely not! [18] Rather, I am a sinner if I rebuild the old system of law I already tore down. |
[quote author=alBHAGDADI post=79155554]It wasn't for Levites alone, but for the Priests and for the running of the House of God. Go and study.[/quote Pls keep quiet before anyone collect tithe he must be a levites and levite is a tribe in Isreal that is mandated to collect tithes from other tribes in isreal. Pls tell me is anybody from Nigeria from any tribe in isreal? is our modern day pastors levites? why are we practicing nonsense in our churches, what does not relate to us we are practicing. Before any pastor can collect tithe he must be a from one of the tribe in isreal and a levite. |

*MEMO TO MRS ABIKE DABIRI-EREWA.* Dear Mrs Abike Dabiri-Erewa, Mine is not a very long letter. Just to commend you for the "passion" that you bring to your work. I believe like, you that when we name and shame the bad eggs tarnishing the image of our dear Nigeria, abroad, it will deter others from a life of crime, ABROAD. It is in this light that I appreciate your publishing the names of the 5 robbers in UAE. You gave their names as Chimmuanya Emmanuel Ozo, Benjamin Nwachukwu Ajah, Kingsley Ikenna Ngoka, Tochukwu Leonard Alusi and Chile Micah Ndumodu (Ndunagu?) Like you rightly pointed out "these five boys are a disgrace to this country and an embarrassment ". Unfortunately Mrs Dabiri, you simply referred to the woman executed for drugs as "A Nigerian woman ". I believe you were in a hurry to address this very pressing National issue, that you coulndt wait to get her name. You also in the same vein failed to inform Nigerians of the names of the other Nigerians already executed for drugs and does on death row for the same crime- drugs. While you and your team are busing unravelling the name of the "Nigerian woman executed for drugs", permit me to give the names of those already executed and those on death row. Am sure you will agree with me that all hands must be on deck to save the image of our nation. THOSE EXECUTED FOR DRUGS IN SAUDI ARABIA 1. Yusuf Yekini Ajiboye 2. Adebayo Adeniyi 3. Mohammed Abubakar 4. Mohammed Issa 5. IBRAHIM Ciroma 6. Biola Ologunro THOSE ON DEATH ROW FOR DRUGS IN SAUDI ARABIA 1. Idris Adepoju 2. Abdulrimi Ajibola 3. Jimoh Lawal 4. Tunde Ibraheem 5. Amode Sulaman 6. Hafis Amosun 7. Aliu Mohammed 8. Babatunde 9. Abdulrasaq Lawal 10. Yekini 11. Abubakar 12. Kawu Muhammed 13. Madinah Yahaya 14. Awalu Muhammed 15. Kafilat Oljide 16. Ayisa 17. Abdulraman Mu'azu, 18. Abdulraman Durojaye 19. Abubakar Usman 20. Sunny 21. Emeka 22. Issa. I hope I have saved you time that you can channel towards other issues. Thank you for all your services to our beloved country. N/B Forgive me for missing the "Honourable' in writing your name and pls tell your boss to name and shame the executive governor of kano state who has bbeen given certificate of return by Inec. |
