Funny people, they are trying to get another name for national grid collapse.....we all know that it is national grid that collapsed but efforts are on the way to restore it.Saying that the national grid collapsed may not be good for Nigerian image, according to APC.So the need to get another suitable name for it,which is now 'system disturbance'. |
RIP...its well! |
cyberstarr:Thanks very much...typing error! |
helinues:You just have to like Tinubu...a man Ododuwa foretold his coming,Sango the Yoruba god of thunder gave him the staff of office, while he created Lagos from the sands of Atlantic ocean. Olodo these are more than enough reasons for you to love watching him talk. |
RIP,what a loss!!!! |
Paraman:Same reason why south east has only 12 out of the 104 unity schools in Nigeria...the truth is that this contraption called Nigeria is not working,we all need a breath of fresh air. |
Paraman:This is the most illogical argument I have heard in recent times, why have some of you chosen to be daft or out rightly senseless,I do not think you read what you wrote. A man requires say 200 Mark's to get into school and from the same country, another 2 Mark's to get into the same school .Simply because he is adjudged to be from an educationally backward state, however another young Nigeria with 198 marks from Anambra is denied admission because he didn't make 200 Mark's and you justified it. You spoke about quota, admittedly they dont fill in there quota in some northern states and yet out of the 104 unity schools in Nigeria,South East has only 12.Our children travel from the East to say Maidugari, just to attend a unity school in an Area where most classes are empty and will need far higher cut off to make the admission list. Why allocating the least number of unity schools to South East and yet they are they ones who are willing to attend at a very demanding cut off. You are justifying it but you are not worried that when it comes to employment, they are largely relegated because of where they come from. |
That's why I love Igbo people and there culture of merit, unlike in some places, especially in the south west such issues are not discussed,it becomes their best kept secret, they use the instrument of the Lagos Ibadan axis brown envelope press to cover it and employ propaganda as a way out. Just like the proverbial Ostriches that hide their face in the sand, when there is danger, forgetting the whole body is outside...reason why you have a lot of them working with 'Oluwole' certificates. Without mentioning names, even at the highest level of this nation,it is in the open space. |
Quite unusual, this is the kind of news that you only hear of in South west,I hope this unfortunate APC government is not bringing in this foreign culture to Igbo land.Just they way the exported this culture of motor park touting(agberoism)to Abuja. The earlier ndigbo stamps there authority against this yoruba culture the better for us. we cant have government patronised celebrated notorious thugs like MC Oluomo and Auxiliary in our space, atleast we are known for our civility. |
In William Shakespeare's voice "be not afraid of greatness, some are born great, some achieve greatness, others have greatness entrusted on them". With all sense of humility...ndigbo largely achieves greatness. Congrats to PROF.! Odogwu nwoke. |
That's very bad of the governor!Anioma people deserves whatever is due to them, they are not asking for much, they are only saying that merit should be the key word in employment. |
kettykin:Right from the days of Awolowo, tribalism has always been a Yoruba thing,it so engrained in their ego that non of them would want to do the right thing, except for the likes of Obasanjo whom I respect so much and have my utmost regards for him,he is so nationalistic that some historians tag him the father of modern Nigeria. Tinubu is a typical yoruba supremacist and a local champion and wants yorubas to see him as a Yoruba demigod,of which a section of the unfortunate Yoruba populace see him as such while a large number of their corrupt elites sees him as a conduit pipe for quick money and hence they follow him. |
The Yoruba government are obviously taking Nigerians for granted, imagine this level of impudence and the temerity at which they rub it on the faces of other Nigerians. They recklessly take 99 percent of all appointments meant for the south and equally take 50 percent of northern appointments and add to theirs. This is nepotism taken to a new level,we are all watching the drama unfold on the stage but these unfortunate leaders will fall into self destruction, while there paid agents and online janitors resonate the chorus of victory, that may lead them to a tragic end. |
kettykin:They are the proverbial Ostriches that bury their heads in the sand when confronted with reality, while their entire body is outside. It's a cultural thing,Yorubas can not help that aspect of hypocrisy in them,it is engrained in there DNA. Or haven't you been told how Ododuwa foretold the coming of Tinubu and how Tinubu created Lagos from the sands of Atlantic Ocean. |
Severe hardship, frustration, depression, lack of proper health care or its unaffordabilities, also atimes hard drugs, all contribute to this increase in number of mad people. Some of them may have voted the calamity called Tinubu, with the impression that he is from Iragbeji Osun state, which Osogbo happens to be the capital. That there condition will be better than others, but the bad news is that they only know them during elections and after which they now share their loots with their cabals, regardless of tribe or religion. That's the saddest reality, the vulnerable masses and there online touts must live with. |
Lagos has been held spellbound by an occultic grandfather,so strong is this spell that even the victims(slaves) hardly know that they are victims...infact they love there chains. You can picture them from this adage that depicts the true situation of Lagos, 'the forest was shrinking but the woods kept voting for the axe because they were convinced that the handle was made of wood'. |
kettykin:cant you see they are indirectly asking for more security in those axis, even when south east remains the most militarized part of Nigeria, more than the axis boko haram and bandits have created mini republics. Can't you smell the 'hands of jacob, the voice of Esau'. |
If this news is true and devoid of the usual Lagos Ibadan expressway parapo brown envelope media propaganda, then why is it been traivalized, first of all, this could be some criminal gangs as seen in most parts of Nigeria, either robbing, kidnapping, terrorizing or killing Nigerians.Tagging them IPOB members seems to me as a grave security blunder because it limits the scope of the security in tracking down the real perpetrators,at this point everything should be left open. it is also surprising that inspite of the South East being a 'military zone' for years now, this kind of criminality is happening. It then implies that militarising an area is never a solution to security challenges but rather an avenue for exploitation and intimidation of the innocent populace. Government must do everything possible to keep Nigerians of every ethnic group safe wherever they are in this country, nobody deserves to die or lose his hard earn goods or properties in the hands of criminals or in some cases,in the hands of state actors like in Lagos. |
viccy12:Obiano is a story for another day,I dont really know how to weigh his performance,he got some right and others wrong however 'make we manage his Airoprt' and a few other legacy projects of his. |
One of the greatest things that happens in a life of a state or organisation,is to have the right foundation.Anambra state has been programmed in such a way that any governor that comes in,must either continue with the existing foundation laid by Peter Obi or try to even do better in financial management as set by Peter Obi...Kudos to Prof.Chukwuma Soludo for continuing in this trajectory,he has truly proven himself as a former world bank director and a renowned economist extraordinaire. This is a case of a round peg in a round hole. |
APC are so shameless, just like they highered fake Bishops for endorsements before elections, they have been sponsoring this nitwit and treacherous individual called Okechukwu Isigozuro to make diversionary statements as the president of Ohaneze.Even when is obvious that he is not even a member of Ohaneze, the Lagos Ibadan express way Yoruba brown envelope media, keep addressing the rogue as Ohaneze president and of course the Nairaland tribal MODs are always fast to push post from the punk to the frontpage, just the way the push anything from Reno Omokri(Wendell Simlin) to the frontpage and hence, the national circle of idiocy continues. Why did the evil APC govt choose to use fake Ohaneze for such statement why not Afenefere?Just to create disharmony between ndigbo and every other indigenous ethnic groups in Rivers.Knowing that the supreme judgement did not go than well with masses of Rivers state. Evil government,we know all there plans against ndigbo. |
Counterigbolies:People like you are mentally unstable and lazy, there was no attempt to answer my question or counter with facts or logical answer. As usual with the online Agbado touts,he quickly diverted to insulting igbos and making reference to 2027 elections,as an escape route to the point I made. Your APC govt removed subsidy so as to have so much money to tackle our economic challenges and people were asked to make sacrifices,of which they did.But guess what, even after the so called subsidy removal, your APC govt has gone into a borrowing drive that has never been seen before in this country. The deception is obvious! |
The same way Abiola's election and mandate was denied by IBB,same way Buhari denied Peter Obi's election and mandate, using Yakubu Mahmoud....atleast Obi is still alive to fight on. |
osuofia2:of course no doubt,we are on the same page on this however,I am only against collective punishment,as there are many innocent struggling businessmen whom live on daily sales and do not have anything to do with the terrible ones dealing on fake drugs.Should they also be punished for what they know nothing about? |
Tunji Ojo is doing well...when you see a round peg in a round hole, you know instantly. |
When you say food prices have dropped or the price of premium motor spirit has gone down, please I want to ask an innocent question?how much was the price of those food items or fuel when this government came in? E.g fuel was around 140 naira or thereabout when this government came in and went up to about a #1000 and now it has dropped insignificantly to about #900,so what exactly are we celebrating?when we should be mourning our dead economy! The economy that APC government killed. |
osuofia2:I dont remember mentioning 'hatred of Igbos',in my write up. |
Who cares, wike can create a federal capital state house of assembly for his pro 27 members, after all impunity is now a way of life of the leadership of this nation. |
'who is he that sayeth something and it comes to pass when the Lord God of host has not spoken'-Bible. Some may not even make it to 2027 and yet they ascribe the power of God to themselves. |
Lagos is a huge joke,a former speaker whom was indicted in gross financial misappropriation,is about to be reinstated as the speaker when he should be doing time behind bars. How can the IG of police withdraw Meranda's police aides when she is still officially the speaker of Lagos state house of assembly and whom was overwhelmingly elected by house members. Why do we celebrate impunity in this part of the world,is it actually wrong if anyone calls Nigeria a 'zoo'? This great woman of valor should take her leave quietly because the same Lagos goons that killed Funsho Williams may still be lurking around. |
UncleJJ:Are you at war or in competition with women?both genders are victims of the same failed government, liberation is beautiful regardless of who brings it. |
The work of cleaning up expired and banned drugs from our markets is a nice job, which will save a lot of precious lives however,it must be done without any ulterior motive. For instance,Onitsha has the biggest open drug market in Africa,Aba equally is about the second or there about,so what the heck is the woman saying, that once they are done with the clean up,that each zone of the country will have just one of such approved open drug market. So the intention is to either close down that of Onitsha or Aba?I need a clearer explanation? Meanwhile they should hurry up and open the market because there are a whole lots genuine businessmen there, inspite of the criminal minded ones whom I suggest should be prosecuted. |

Every state in Nigeria have a quota to fill in every unitary school. There's a reason unitary schools were created by Gowon.
