mojounited: How can one even imagine ghost workers being employed by the President? The risk involved with the pocket money that's to be realised from such a petty move is chicken change - a risky move that can easily be unraveled when there are other coordinated means/avenues/deals that the President can implement to 'chop' better money. Some of you are just unimaginable...I raised that because I noticed that since 1960 we blame the president for even the basic things that we should blame ourselves. I can imagine that the HODs, perm secs and the other sharks that permeate this will open their mouths and say the President is not doing anything when they are sabotaging the governemnt to the tune of N118bn per year. Am sure that amount will go a long way in building Lagos-Ibadan. THIS IS ORGANISED CRIME. |
Those ghost workers must have been employed by one of our presidents - Jonathan ,Yar'adua, or OBJ. Apart from disengaging them, we need to understand the process that led to them being in the system in the first place and they should be made to refund all monies collected, all the pats ministers, HOD, etc should be held accountable |
I THINK THE APPROPRIATE TITLE FOR THIS THREAD SHOULD BE: Why Do People From South East NAIRALANDERS Hate Tinubu More Than Those From South-west? Ditto for a similar thread about Ojukwu. Some topics and posts are inadvertently created in such a way as to ignite and fan embers of hate about ethnic groups and create feedback loops that generate self-fulfulling prophecies. By the way do NL south-westerners really inherently hate Ojukwu? or do SE nairalanders really inherently hate Tinubu? I stand to be corrected but I think a good number of people (referred to as haters) are people who have been pushed to take sides based on their ethnic origin (charity begins at home?) in this SE vs. SW matter. A good number of them will point fingers to others on the opposing side and say 'They started it' But if people take sides and insult others, then more people will take sides and insult others, and then more and more people will become involved and at a point it will become a e-herd or and e-crowd. We all know that crowds are uncontrollable whether physical or e-. |
nkem Kalu: The MASSOB leader further said as the Igbo leader............WHO MADE U AN IGBO LEADER?...........CHEI CHINEKE MUOOOOO......LEADERSHIP DON SUFFER FOR THIS COUNTRY. EVERY COCROACH AND ANT IS A LEADER IN IGBO LAND.Any body who is not conversant with south east politics will be taking this guy serious as MASSOB leader wey im be. Some wud think he speaks for the Igbos...lol. Anybody who is the head of any disturbing pressure group is taken seriously in the country. He has been weighed on the political scales and found to be of below average value. He is just expressing his opinion. |
ACM10: Omo, no be you make this comment?Be careful how u reply him. He may be here just here to derail this thread. When we have meaningful discusions on this forum, we should be careful of those who try to throw a thread off topic,so much that the original discussion will be unable to continue even though it may be intentional or unintentional. |
The idea behind unity schools is to allow people from different ethnicities , backgrounds, and religions to mix together - at an early stage. I attended a unity schoool where we had students and teachers from all over the country. That was virtually my first contact with people from other ethnic groups. The bonding across tribal and religious lines was enormous. Thats why I believe that no tribal or ethnic group is inherently tribalistic or xenophobic. But if the man from Gombe (and some other states) can't be admitted baecause of a strictly merit system, what is the purpose of the unity school? Will that not jeopardise the mixing which is intended? I'm aware that US still practcsies this kind of system even though to alower extent. I THINK WE SHOULD BE MORE WORRIED WITH THE PROCESS THAT LED TO GOMBE HAVING SUCH A LOW CUT-OFF AND SHOULD TRY TO ADDRESS IT BECAUSE IT CAN LEAD TO OTHER DISASTROUS THINGS LIKE BOKO HARAM,SOCIAL UNREST, BAD GOVERNANCE(A PEOPLE GETS THE GOVERNMENT IT DESERVES). A STATE OF EMERGENCY SHOULD BETTER BE DECLARED ON THE PRIMARY EDUCATION OF THAT STATE. SUCH AN INEQUALITY IN EDUCTATION IN THE SAME COUNTRY IS UNACCEPTABLE. IF IT IS ALLOWED TO EXIST, THE DISADVANTAGED WILL SEE PULLING OTHER DOWN AS THE ONLY MEANS OF SURVIVAL AS IS THE NOW. |
