Thanks for your response.

The lake of fire is not for eternal torment but for eternal destruction, read 2 Peter 3:7. It is no small matter to stand before Jesus Christ and then to be judged and hear the words 'depart from me into everlasting fire '. To know that one will be punished and destroyed with no hope of redemption or salvation , especially knowing that there was ample opportunity to lay hold of eternal life , will be very horrible to contemplate.

Let me ask you a question, can God punish the wicked for their crimes with ten times worse tortures than these wretches imposed on their victims, not for a short period but for eternity ? What does that make God out to be ? Torturing sinners for their wicked and evil ways with endless agony and suffering, be honest , does this not sound more like a malignment of God's character from the father of all lies ?

God has no purpose to keep an everlasting Auswitch , he will simply rid this world of all evil and make it new again.
I actually think you are confused

yuzedo: My point is that the bîtching was unnecessary. I am a strong advocate of merit(ocracy), but this guy was just going on and on, about a personal experience, rather than dealing with the issue. (Which he simply alloted one flimsy paragraph)

If two people are equally qualified. Equal in all abilities and capabilities, and someone has the added advantage of a referral, why are you mad? His friend passed the test and interview too, but his uncle put in the extra word/effort needed to clinch it for him. Crime? I think not.

Just so you know, I am a product of merit. I have always done my bit and passed every examination or test or interview. ALWAYS! But at many stages I have needed the help of an influential word. No shame in that.

Nigga needs to man up and stop sullying Schlum's image. And if he absolutely has to, at least stick to the issues, don't tell us what u ate before u went for a test or the rosary recited before an interview. Ain' nobody got time for that. undecided
perfection is a state that can never be achieved; fools are ignorant of this. You're a "product of merit" yet at various times you "needed the help of an influential word" and you say "no shame in that"? You are, at best, confused. You mean to imply that you can pick out typos but can't differentiate between favoritism and merit. I'm sure your father also says embezzlement isn't stealing but utilizing opportunity. After all, it happens all over the globe. There's only one crime here: that your parents failed morally to teach you a simple matter of right and wrong. Or maybe they did, maybe you're just plain simple.
PoliticsRe: PHCN To Import Prepaid Meters by Avalani(m): 5:58pm On Feb 14, 2013
The present fixed charge system of paying N500 every month no matter your electricity consumption (which could be zero consumption) is a key issue here. It is either fraud: in this case they know it is wrong but do it anyway, or it is non-intelligence: which is shamefully also possible.
The fixed charge should be a percentage in my opinion. That way N50k worth of electricity will attract a reasonable sum and zero consumption or supply will attract zero charge, which is only fair

I advise u not to take your ps3 to ikeja, alaba or oshodi for repair if u still value it. I have a question for those advising u to do this: how many ps3 with ylod problems have they gotten had fixed? Probably none. Speaking from a very bad exper
ience. They take ur money and after a week ur ps3 is back to square one.
Do not break the waranty seal or open your ps3 yourself until u have original materials for repair or u are sure of the repairer.

PoliticsFuel Subsidy: The Win-win Solution by Avalani(op): 1:16pm On Jan 09, 2012
Well, the d-day finally arrived and the nationwide strike and mass protest, as promised by the NLC and the nigerian people, has kicked off. I have been paying close attention to the stand of the government (plus a minority of the masses) supporting fuel subsidy removal as well as that of those condemning it, and what is very clear is that both parties are very clear in their stance. The FG can no longer, or will no longer, afford the cost of fuel subsidy. full stop. Whereas, the masses can no longer, or will no longer, bear to suffer the hardship fuel subsidy removal will bring, or any other hardship for that matter.

Normally such clarity makes resolutions simpler. If the nation goes ahead with fuel subsidy removal, a win-lose situation arises, in which case the government wins and the impoverished nigerian people lose. At this point, I appeal to those preaching the gospel of long term benefits of fuel subsidy removal and saving the nation's economy from total collaspe to please spare us. Such a sermon, coming from a government that has lost the trust of its people, accused (if not guilty) of high-level corruption and waste, characterized by total infrastructural failure and unemployment, and with a long history of making promises it never keeps, well, I dare say such a sermon will not appeal to the nigerian congregation. So, please spare us.

Also, a reversal of the fuel subsidy removal will still lead to a win-lose situation. A lose-lose situation is out of the question so we need not explore it, which brings us to the win-win situation, the only way to resolve this issue. And the funny thing is, the win-win situation has been staring us in the face for more than a decade. We all know what it is, so let no man lay claim to it as his brain child.

Get the oil refineries working. Get more nigerians employed. Stop the importation of oil. And if the capacity of the refineries cannot meet the nation's fuel demand, build 10 more refineries, infact build a 100! Whatever it takes. When that is done, fix the fuel price below the global price, say 25% below. Why? Because that is normal in economics. Suya is way cheaper in northern nigerian than in the south, why? Well, because cattles are reared in the north. Resources are cheaper in places they are naturally found than in places they are not, one basic reason being cost of transportation.

The FG should reverse the fuel subsidy removal decision, and begin a project to repair and build new refineries. And FG, please do not promise the latter without acting out the former: your promises are worth nothing to nigerians.

The generators, the okadas, the bad roads, poor healthcare, non-existent education, and abominable salaries paid to lawmakers, Jonathan and co should also disapper. That is if, our elected leaders love this country, and that is a very big IF!

The fight for a better Nigeria contiues.
RomanceRe: Why Do I Keep Liking The Wrong Guys? by Avalani(m): 10:59am On Oct 21, 2011
Why do you keep liking the wrong guys? Before I try to answer that, let me first just say that you will not get any worthwile answer from a lady. That is because they don't know any better than you; you are all in the same boat; you were all wired and programmed by the same cultural software. Useful answers will probably come from the male folks. Why? Because they are the only ones 'outside the box' in this case. Besides, the males that reply this post, the exception being personal friends, will be quite objective since they don't know you and have no reason to mislead you just to get into your pants.

Now that all that has being said. The answer to your question is simple. Girls, precisely "good girls" like bad guys. It is a proven law with few exceptions, so if you happen to be a good girl, get ready to battle your natural instincts towards a guy.
Good girls like bad guys. Girls find good guys boring. I happen to be a bit of a good guy myself and I've gotta admit I find myself a tad boring. Like the comedian Chris Rock said, good relationships are boring, only the bad ones are exciting. And after hanging out with a couple of bad guys, a good girl becomes unattractive to the right guy, and this is because, unlike bad guys, good guys are quite picky and probably less forgiving because of their moral principles.

Finally, and this applies to all sexes, the heart is misleading. the heart wants what the heart wants. Mind you, the heart doesn't necessarily want what you want. The head is more reliable but no one listens to it enough, if we did, we'd all be wise. And that is why we are all chasing and loving someone who is chasing and loving someone else. And if only we could stop chasing and look back, we will find the one who loves us trying to catch our attention. You might  say: "but I dont love him". Well the truth is, love as we know it does not exist. it is mere science fiction. So what is real? Friendship. And that takes hard work, unlike your "true love". And anything worth having is hard to get.

HealthRe: Pastor Adeboye Builds N100m Cancer Screening And Prevention Center by Avalani(m): 10:09am On Jun 20, 2011
My main concern with this post isn't with a pastor (or more correctly, a church) building a hospital. Rather, it is with the subject title: "Pastor Adeboye builds 100m, blah blah". How did Pastor Adeboye earn 100m in the first place? It really isn't enough to build a hospital if at the end of the day you take all the glory for it. A humble and honest person will distance his personal name from such accomplishments seeing that it wasn't his personal money that achieved it, but rather church offerings, tithes, vows, and gifts. Even if Pastor Adeboye somehow managed to earn 100m (without the canopy of the church, which -mind you- doesn't belong to him or his family), shouldn't he or his members learn from the bible who teaches us to give in secret so that we can blessed by God who sees in the secret. The Bible advises that the left hand shouldn't see what the right hand gives or sth like that. Why publicize it? There are people building hospitals and schools all over the world with their own money, yet they stay anonymous.

Yet, what do we get today, people using God's money for all sorts of things, from selfish private jets, through money-making schools, to charitable hospitals, BUT taking all the glory by attaching their names to such.

Would it hurt (or cost so much) if we gave in secret?
BusinessRe: CBN Imposes Limits, Penalty On Cash Transactions, Again! by Avalani(m): 9:56am On May 01, 2011
Personally, I consider this to be ridiculous. Economists in the house might quote inflated financial jargons to support this move, but the simple truth is, in business any idea that restricts the customer and offers him less choice is a poor one. Nigerian banks, like most institutions in nigeria, while failing to meet up with some of its basic responsibilities, are forever seeking ways to avoid the very same. Whilst, the average customer is demanding for more options, the nigerian customer is deprived of the few available to him. Electronic banking my foot! In a country where power outage and "network is down" is commonplace, they come up with this.

Anyway, this really wouldn't matter to me if only it would apply to the politicians and our thieving leaders as it does to the common man. But we know it won't, don't we?

PoliticsRe: Fashola Challenges Fg To Public Debate Ahead Of April Polls by Avalani(m): 9:18am On Feb 14, 2011
Fashola, Ribadu, ACN, and all the brainless people who are empty-headed enough to be manouvered and swayed by cheap political shots by inexperienced nigerians should shut up.

If Fashola is so qualified, he should have vied for the presidential candidacy (It is so mediocre of him to gun for his own position, which he knows he will win via Lagos agberos). He is like a lightweight boxer sitting among the spectators yet throwing challenges to a heavyweight contender who is inside the ring and preparing for a fight. If he is so intelligent and strong politically, then he ought to have bought a form to contest for the presidency. What indeed has Fashola done besides going into BRT business, planting MTN and GLO flowers, while displaying blueprints of a fairytale plan. In case he has forgotten, he is a youruba man who values respecting elders and superiors and should stop insulting his president like a child. During OBJ's reign, God knows he made indeed very shameful statements especially during Y'ardua's campaign (coincidentally). I honestly dont blame him. If not for Tinubu in conjunction with his agberos that handed Lagos state to him,

And Ribadu is not even worth talking about. It is envious so many people are envious of GEJ's quick rise in nigerian politics,, not to mention his popularity. GEJ is not perfect but past leaders have been worse.

So please shut up and vote as you will!

Jobs/VacanciesRe: Avris Nigeria Recruiting by Avalani(m): 11:59am On Jun 29, 2010
This is a legitimate scam, pure and simple. An organisation that cannot afford to print out its own recruitment forms is not yet ready for business. I mean, they have a budget, don't they? and they budgeted for this recruitment, didn't they? (if they didn't, well, that says it all doesn't it.

A company that need you to pay for their recruitment form obviously think that they are doing you a favour. If they cannot afford a piece of paper, I wonder the quality of training or salary they will afford if ever you get the job.

Legitimate scam! crap!

PoliticsPolitical Christmas Chicken! by Avalani(op): 12:11pm On Dec 17, 2009
Methinks we have a political Christmas chicken in the name of Goodcharm. Whatever happened to one of life's inspiring slogans: "Live for nothing, or die for something"?

The president might as well be absent till his tenure runs out and Goodcharm will still be playing the faithful servant. In fact, Yara doam could die tomorrow and he would still remain loyal to the man's spirit! Maybe he hasn't realised it yet, but hardly has a vice president of this country become president after years of servitude. Anyone in doubt can ask Atiko.

Opportunities seldom come with a bold tag screaming "grab me!", but I gotta say this one came close. If Yara doam dies and there is a coup, which of course should include Mr Goodluck being sent to the great beyond to keep his pal company, then it would be nothing less than what the Niger-deltan deserves.

A man that welcomes the goddess of fortune into his home from a distance, and sitting down is an anomaly, which nature quickly rids herself of to maintain the right balance.

Nigerians, generally are weak vessels for a revolution, but Goodluck is, besides that, a coward
