CrimeRe: Police Fire Teargas To Stop Protesters From Burning Shoprite In Abuja by Avedonn:
It doesn't make sense burning South African business or companies operating in Nigeria cos 80% of their workers are Nigerians. If they end their operations in Nigeria, it's Nigerians that'll still be affected.

There's a big difference between what is happening in South Africa and the retaliatory measures some Nigerians are taking. The difference is, the businesses destroyed in South Africa belongs to single or two individuals but South African businesses in Nigeria is an conglomerate that employs thousands of Nigerians. South Africa doesn't need us as much as we need them as it stands.

They also pay huge taxes that contribute immensely to the Nigerian GDP. At this critical moment, we can't afford to loose them. So we should allow government to handle the situation diplomatically.

I also hope this incident will be an eye opener to the Nigerian government to invest and create an enable environment for Nigerians to set up indigenous industries that'd also have outlets in other African countries just like South African companies.

Nigerian government should learn from Donald Trump economic policies. When he came to power, he discovered that there was unbalance of trade between US and China, he then imposed huge tariff on China's goods. China had no choice than to open their market to American goods.

No nation will prosper with exporting only natural resources without exporting indigenous manufactured goods. Nigeria should wake-up and start doing the right thing before smaller African countries like Rwanda and Kenya overtake us economically.
PoliticsRe: Governor Dapo Abiodun Introduces 3,700 School Fee In Ogun State Schools by Avedonn: 10:46am On Sep 04, 2019
That's a great idea. N3500 is not much so I believe most parents can afford it. And I also hope the state government will use the money to improve the quality of education which is a legacy the West has always been known for.

But I sincerely hope northern states would not emulate such idea cos it'd backfire. If they do, most parents will withdraw their kids from school. Because even with the free education in most northern states, some parents are reluctant to allow their wards to go to school.

Mobil 1 is 17k for 5 quartz, 8k kilometers OCI. Mobil 1 oil filter is 8k, fram oil filter is 3k.

I use dw1 for my transmission, i buy from luvinghubby @4k per quartz. I drain and refill with 4 quartz every 2 years (i think honda recommends 50k miles)
So the complete Mobile 1 Oil change is about 28k
PoliticsRe: Shiites React To Police Order For Leaders' Arrest by Avedonn:
FG should allow these people to be. The way the are handling them would make them metamorphose to terrorist which may end up affecting other innocent Nigerians.

The way things are going, it seems like Buhari want to bring the Arab crisis in to Nigeria before he finished his tenure. If you look at it very carefully you'll notice that most Arab countries in crisis is between Shia and Sunni.

Yemen - Shi'a and Sunni

Bahrain - Shi'a and Sunni

Iraq - Shi'a and Sunni

Iran/ Saudi - Shi'a and Sunni

Afghanistan Shi'a and Sunni (ISIS)

Syria -Shi'a and Sunni.

Egypt - Shi'a and Sunni.

For heaven sake we are Black Africans and we have no business with these people feud. Buhari should stop involving us. The reason Shi'a are yet to pick up arms cos they don't believe in ideology of terrorism like the Sunnis that's the reason we are still having some sort of peace.

In all the 48 black African countries, it's only Nigeria and Somalia that are facing terrorism. In fact, Nigeria introduced terrorism to West Africa which is now affecting our neighboring countries of Chad, Cameroon and Niger.

Since both the Shi'a and Sunni are Muslims and they share the same faith, Buhari should call them and discuss their problems in the spirit of brotherhood instead of all these open confrontations.

No one is disputing the fact that leg pull is a design defect in o4 accord, but I am saying it again that the leg will never pull if necessary precautions are taken. Mine is more than 5 years, with at least 2 inter state trip per month and the car has never stopped on the road for once.

As for OCI, please use Mobil 1 on your car and say goodbye to frequent oil changes. I stock engine oil and filters that will last me at least 2 years (dru23 can attest to this cos i buy from him).

The fact is car maintenance is not cheap and we should stop blaming manufacturers for our issues after using substandard parts.

If you still doubt that i drive this accord, pls refer to this thread, it will interest you to know that the leg still refused to pull after it sent a corolla to its early grave:

Well said. But I've two questions

1. Please how much do you buy Mobile 1 oil and what quantity is required during oil change.

1. What type of transmission fluid do you use for your car and how much.
PoliticsRe: Makinde Unveils E-registration For Migrants In Oyo by Avedonn: 4:19pm On Sep 01, 2019
How can they even identify citizen and non citizen. A Hausa or Fulani man from Chad, Niger or Cameroon could easily pass as a northern Nigerian man residing in the state. Likewise Yoruba person from Benin republic or Togo.

The reason United States is succeeding in fishing out illegal migrant is because they have comprehensive data base for all Americans. And every citizen has an ID which makes it easier for police to track illegal migrants.

So I don't see that initiative working out cos Nigeria is just like a market with government which allow everyone to come in and leave at anytime.

Yeah, I agree.
Just mention number of jobs that pays that much.
Even those jobs that pays that much mostly employ experts from overseas.
I know of many Americans and European that came down to Nigeria for such jobs.

Highly commendable if they can truly implement this which I doubt anyway.

Those praying for Nigeria to become their dream country, I am sorry to tell you that you are wasting your time and prayer, be selfish in your prayers for once, pray for your own personal success and family success, and stop wasting time flogging a dead lion because Nigeria will never become that your dream country and if you are not earning up to 200k naira as a single man or 150k naira as a single lady in Nigeria and 300k above as a married man or 200k naira monthly as a married lady, please for the sake of your kids born and unborn, do everything you can to leave Nigeria and migrate to any more promising country so that your children won't be caught up in the impending multiple economy and security crises + unemployment and hunger crises that will hit Nigeria in the next 20 years from today!

Don't say I didn't warn you because Nigeria has no future, the future of Nigeria look very scary and dark like total eclipse angry
200k as a single or 300k as a Madrid man?

How many jobs even pay such amount in Nigeria.

Stop saying something for just saying sake or for likes.
PoliticsRe: Okorocha Dares Ihedioha On Arrest Order by Avedonn:
Ihedioha should please focus on governance and stop this endless witch hunt. We all know Okorocha was and is still corrupt but the way he has been following the man up and down, he'll end up generating public sympathy for Okorocha. Just like how Yahaya Bello kept persecuting Dino which ended up generating public sympathy for Dino.

Most Governors inherited same problem Ihedioha has been complaining about but they refused to allow it distract them.

By the way, Okorocha's case is an EFCC case but since Buhari has reconfigured EFCC to only go after Yahoo Yahoo boys and allow politician enjoy the proceeds their corrupt wealth, nothing good will come out of his probe of Okorocha's administration.

Once those people hold a gun they don't think straight. Even if you are addressing them politely and you mistakenly raise your voice a little, they'll see it as an act disrespect.

Due to Police and Solders abysmal behavior, it makes Nigerians to fear and respect them more than they fear God or their parents.

Just take a look at the guy's face. I'm sure he's regretting his action. And he's folly action would not only affect the deceased family but also his family. Cos I'm sure he's married with kids.

SportsRe: FIFA Plans To Replace Linesmen With VAR And Robots by Avedonn:
All the latest changes FIFA have been introducing is making football to be boring. Football is a game not a war so we don't need all these sophistications.

Sometimes the minor error makes the game to be more entertaining especially when it goes against your opponents in viewing center. Which may lead to argument. We use the error to mock our opponents and they use it as an excuse for their lost. That's where the fun is.

Please FIFA should kill the next must important thing after beer that most Nigerian men use as an immunity against women and government troubles.
BusinessRe: US Bank Stops Western Union Transfers To Nigeria In Aftermath Of 80 Fraud Burst? by Avedonn:
I think it's high time Federal Government allow Igbos secede from the federation. They contribute nothing if not crime and hatred.

In federal Union, each region is expected to contribute something meaningful such as natural resource or raw materials but igbos contribute nothing to the federation and yet they'd not allow other Nigerians to rest.

At least each region brings something to the federation table except igbos.

North - Crop production and livestock

South West - Timber, crude oil and shipping ports

South South - Crude oil and shipping ports.

South East - Crime, hard drugs, prostitution, scam, fake products such as medicine etc. And now they've come up with a new system of committing crime and pin it on Fulani herdsmen.

Yes, the North engage in terrorism but it mostly affects them and it's internal which most countries are battling with. It has not stopped foreign firms from transacting business with Nigeria. It's a global issue.

Yes, South West engage in fetish monetary ritual but it starts and ends with them. They don't go into other regions to carry out their fetish act. And hasn't stopped foreign firms from transacting business with Nigeria.

But Igbos combined all the negatives other unit of the federation are known for ( kidnapping and armed robbery, money ritual etc). Even the trending internet fraud (Yahoo Yahoo) 80% of them are igbos.

Well, I don't really blame the US bank for not transacting with Nigeria because even me as a Nigerian I always think twice before I engage into any business with igbos and with caution as well.

Car TalkRe: 10 Ways To Make Your Car Battery Last Longer by Avedonn: 5:18pm On Aug 21, 2019
dgitrader:
90% of batteries sold in nigeria are cheap and inferior quality. Leaving them uncharged for weeks drains them, this can be worsened if your car has slight electrical issue of drainage(hard to detect).
Best thing to do now or before u use that car is to give the battery to a battery charger at least for two good days. Another option is to lend the battery out to a transporter that does long distant journeys till your are ready to start using it. I lost two new batteries way back, despite occasional ''warming" of the cars by my friend. That thought me this lessons I am offering here.

On a side note... "All those china car USB chargers and mp3 players that connects from cigarette lighter, interferes and damages modern car electrical". ...patience Jonathan 2014. Don't quote me

Indeed we're in for a long thing for the next four year.

CrimeRe: Sex Trafficking Of South-easterners In Malaysia Worries Anambra Residents by Avedonn: 10:39pm On Aug 08, 2019
Igbos behave as if they are the only people that like money in this country. The kept on giving this country a bad name.

And the most painful part of it is that the outsiders always generalize that Nigerians are bad people. All thanks to igbos.

90% of them abroad engage in illegal activities ranging from:

prostitution

drug peddling

Love scam

Cult activities

Illegal emigrants in Libya Europe and Asia.

And their elders and parents don't see anything wrong with that because as soon as the return, they'd be calling them "Onye ego"
Seriously I'm ashamed for these people.
PoliticsRe: Class Of 2019: Mixed Fortunes For Ex-governors by Avedonn: 2:48pm On Aug 06, 2019
Dankawmbo will surely bounce back cos he has left a legacy behind. Danwambo is the only politician from the north that is void of tribalism.

As for Borno, i think they are lucky to have Pro. Zulum as their Gov cos the man is simple and ready to work for the benefit of his war torn people.
