Yeah I've tracked BeIN sport.

My AlJazeera signal strength is 89% and the quality is 86% but my BBC is not displaying.

I'm using strong 4955b recorder.

Surely you can. I intentionally post this question just to know how many people really know that DStv decoder can do just more than showing you only DStv channels. It can as well be used to watch free to air channels. Follow this steps to unlock the free to air power of DStv decoder:

How to Track Any Free to Air Channels On DSTV HD Decoders

First make sure you have tracked the free to air satellite you want to watch, they include TSTV, Nigcomsat, Media 7/ Multitv/Joy TV, amongst others, the choice is yours and also depends on you dish size. 60cm or 90cm dish is ok for the above mention free to air satellite. After tracking, follow these step below;

- Remove the ‘LNB in’ cable at the back of the DSTV decoder.
- Switch ON the decoder and ignore the message on the TV screen telling you ‘there is no signal’.
- Press the DSTV MENU Blue button on the decoder’s remote controller.
- While on the menu, go to ‘SETTINGS’.

- Select ‘SATELLITE SETTING’.
- Choose ‘ADDITIONAL NETWORKS’.
- Select ‘NETWORK 1’.
- Change ‘Enable Network’ to ‘YES’.
- Now you will notice that other information in the network 1 window is editable.
- Now Go to frequency and input the free to air satellite TV frequency you want to track.
- Move over to symbol rate and input the symbol rate digits.
- Change the polarization to that of the satellite you want to track. Leave NIT on and FEC = 5 over 6
- Connect back the signal cable to your decoder
- After you must have received the signal; select ‘SCAN THIS’.

- Kindly Wait for the scanning to complete.
- Press navigation button bring up the channel ‘GRID’ and you will see the free to air channels added to the bottom of the list.
- Now Select the channel you want to watch and enjoy.
While DStv does not support Disecq Switch to watch different satellite at the same time, however , you could only view one satellite which is connected in Disecq 1 or A of your diseq switch.

Repeat above procedures to scan more channels on other TP using other Additional Networks 2, 3, 4, 5 on the decoder

I thought the right way is to allow the engine cool of before checking or changing transmission fluid.

No you can't. The decoder is programmed for only DSTV channels.

I sure 90% of Nigerian car owners use 20W50 for years and nothing happen to their car engine. For instance, if you take a market survey, the availability of 20W50 to synthetic oil is 1to 20.

So if 20W50/works for you, then keep on using and also if synthetic oil work for you keep using it as well.

The coin will fell off or the owner will notice it.
By the way, I can't even remember the last time I saw a coin.

Clearing/wiping the codes is different from resolving the issues identified by the codes. Some persons always believe that clearing/wiping the codes will make the issues/problems vanish. Doing this may only provide temporary relief but the problems will persists until they are resolved.

The I4 models are very sturdy , occasionally you cold find them with transmission issues, but comparatively an inexpensive replacement hovering around ₦150k total package.

As a rule, avoid Aluminum engines with graphite gaskets (if you don't know ask).

The V6 model. I am yet to see a Nigerian used one for sale that didn't have a defective transmission.

Transmission failure and the accord V6 are like agege bread and Ewa goin.

Based on the review, people complain of total engine failure, excessive fuel consumption, brake pad, and electrical problems after 80k miles especially 2008 and above models.

If you notice carefully, you rarely see 2005, 2006,2010 etc for sale on nairaland auto section.

Check out the professional review of all Honda cars I4 engine. From 1976 to 2019. Their problems, the one to buy and not to buy.

Based on what I saw, 2005, 2006, 2015 and 2017 are less problematic than other models.

While the worst and the one they advised people to avoid like plague are 2014, 2013, 2009, 2008, 2003, 2004 models.

Peoples complained about the following mostly:

1. transmission failure

2. brake pad

3. suspension

4. paint peeling

5. electronics malfunction etc.
