If he were still the APC national chairman , you would have expected a serious war or they just write the result sheet from Abuja .Oshiomhole would have be ready to do anything to win Edo state. Edo people are more with Obaseki and with the Oba of Benin words today, it is clear that he got the support of the palace Smart talk. Ajumobi (even though he isn't wel and has being removed) will mind his business, which is to smooth way for Tinubu. For me, it is even good that osho left to avoid being shamed |

Jesusloveyou: this is high court, giadom can not resume office, court of appeal and supreme court will finalise the matter. Edo election has be settled, giadom can not change anything, and any anti party from ameachi and el-rufai in trying to support obaseki in PDP, that will be expulsion. It seems you didn't get me or the whole scenario. The only person that can shake a sitting governor obaseki is oshobaba. Without him at the helm, even Ajumobi will not go and kill himself over bini matter! His interest will be to consolidate on making Tinubu president come 2023. Worst if Giadom becomes APC chairman, he is Obaseki man and such will not care to use federal might on him even though there is non again, given the body language of Buhari. So it is a done deal for obaseki if he cliches pdp ticket and also a win to pdp to strategise for 2023. Of course he will get the pdp ticket! Pdp can sacrifice the other aspirants to get existing governor who has the support of the masses. The aspirants will be settled later or the can wait for sure 2024 I hope u got? |

Giadom will remain useless Giadom will not be useless in long run. Being Amechi's pal, they will checkmate the Tinubu against 2023, even though it will affect Wike power in Rivers but he (wike) will survive it as he will grow more wings with stronger pdp. Sure Tinubu will fight it, and that will keep disintegrating apc as we approach 2023 while pdp sort their house in order to take up 2023. Edo will fall for pdp laps as as Giadom wouldn't care neither will suppose Federal might have any affect again as the Buhari body language is showing he don't give a dawn anymore Las Las, the masses will win, as their vote will now count. Let's keep watching as it unfolds |

I was quite amazed to see the Initiatives, Freebee donations done by Chinese and India Rich Business owners. Jack Maa is donating 0.5% of its money to few startups. In India Tata is funding more then 23 researches in various labs. Last year Owner of Tech Mahindra announced usd 25 Million for top 4 startups in New age Battery development and IOTs. Reliance industries is funding 6 university labs for Terra-bit Network development.
In this continent you can never see any such thing from Dangote alike, they will donate few water tanks or food rations to come on front page along along with politicians. I dont know its greed of the black man or something else, we just cant comprehance such ideas.. My dear it is really disheartening. The rich here see the up coming guys as a treat or something. Politics › Re: They Build Factories And We Build Churches, They Pay Taxes And We Pay Tithe by Avidcolz: 11:47am On Jun 01, 2020 |
emilas1979: They built industries, we built churches. They paid taxes, we paid tithes. Truth as you know is bitter. We are a well endowed Nation that is groaning under a heavy yoke. We are a blessed Nation that is facing the wrong direction on our journey to nationhood. At Oba Akran Avenue Ikeja, I wept when I realised that factories that employed thousands of people are all closed and their premises converted to churches, insurance companies and banks. It is the same in Ogba, Isolo, Ilupeju and Apapa all in Lagos and Sango Otta in Ogun state. Hundreds of factories shut, which means loss of jobs.
Then the same trip to Shanghai, Beijing, Guangzhou, Tianjin, Shenzhen etc., it is a different story altogether. While they were building factories, we were building churches, while they were paying taxes, we were paying tithes when they started employing more people, we started disengaging our people, when they started exporting, we started importing, when they started getting richer, we began to get poorer, when they were rich enough to lend, we became poor enough to borrow, when they began to export technology and experts, we started importing their expertise and technology, when they moved to first world country, we are receding into a “fourth” world.
While we say they are Ungodly and we are Godly, they live in wealth and we live in poverty. In their cities, the production factory noises fill the air, in our cities, church and mosque noises fill they air. At the end of the week or month, they wait for their salaries and profits, we wait for miracles. China has more than 10 tyre manufacturing companies, South Africa nearby has 4 tyre manufacturing companies, Ghana the same and Nigeria with an estimated population of over 200 million people with millions of cars has no single tyre manufacturing company. Michelin and Dunlop formerly here relocated to South Africa and appointed distributors in Nigeria where the main market is. As big as we are, with such a huge population, we have no more than a textile mill as at the last time I checked.
Yet we go about as if all is well. In one Street near me, I counted 15 churches. On the major road of two kilometres, I counted 25 churches, some as big as a moderate factory and some as small as one room shop. All put together, does not employ a single person. Everything is by volunteers. In China, the same would have been at least 30 factories both big and small. What grows the economy are the very small cottage industries whose products are mopped up for exports. They would employ at least 300 people. Those workers will sing God’s praises, our own people are hungry and their prayers are constantly harrasing God, accusing Him of not listening or listening but not responding even to outright accusation of partiality. #HappySunday #copied The kind of article the keep me in Nairaland back in the days. Good job OP!! |

POSITIVE THINGS RESTRUCTURING NIGERIA WILL BRING! - FOREIGN DIPLOMAT REVEALS
If Nigeria restructured into provinces - 1) Northern Province 2) Middle Belt Province 3) Western (Oduduwa)Province 4) Eastern (Biafra)Province 5) Niger Delta Province (Atlantic) Then Central Government at FCT.
10 positive things that would happen within 5 years (primarily due to inter-province competition)
1. The first province to experience economic explosion would obviously be the Western Province. The Oduduwua Master plan will be revealed. There would be trans-regional 4g internet fiber connection/rail/subways/highways/power grids etc. Yoruba will become the 2nd official language. They are relatively united. They have oil. They own academia. They have mega corporations. The WP would be the first to have stable 24/7 power supply! Foreign money will flood the province. More Forbes recognized billionaires will arise. Some of them will be internet billionaires. Lagos will be relieved a little from overpopulation as railway lines from other states will make living elsewhere and working in Lagos a breeze.
2. The Northern Province will have stronger islamic laws. Sharia will be entrenched and this will make the NP become the least corrupt province. The middle east (Arab) nations will move in to partner with them, bringing major development. Jaiz bank and Unity Bank will become mega banks. Arabic and Hausa will compete with English for dominance in schools. This province will generate more solar power than any other province. After the west, this province will be the 2nd to have 24/7 electricity. They will start exporting food as a major revenue generator.
3. The Middle Belt Province will have a development conference. Focus will be given to solid minerals development/ exports, tourism development and food production/exports. This will become a food hub in West Africa. They will export more food than any other province. Mega mining and food corporations will arise. This province will have foreign inflows through tourism development greater than any other province. It will host the most beautiful places to live in Nigeria.
4. The Eastern Province will transform into the Auto Industry Hub of Africa. Indigenous manufacturing of vehicles that will start competing with foreign vehicles will commence in earnest. This will grow to manufacturing of airplanes, helicopters, tractors, cranes, heavy duty construction equipment etc. Forbes recognised billionaires living in Anambra will arise. The Biafra agitation will fizzle out since formation of the EP will be seen as a Biafra success in another form. There would be so much development that villages (as we currently know them) will quickly cease to exist. This province will be the first to semi-urbanize all their rural areas as all the Igbos living abroad will rush back to take advantage of the changes.
5. The Atlantic Province will take the Uyo blueprint and run with it. An abundance of oil wealth and opening up of major sea ports at Rivers and Uyo will enable this region to revamp their infrastructure quickly. There will be more monorails here than anywhere else. This will be the 3rd province to achieve 24/7 electricity generation in Nigeria (mainly from gas turbine technology).
6. With provincial indigenous security forces in control, kidnapping, Armed robbery, Boko Haram, Fulani herdsmen and the Niger delta militancy attacks will all fizzle out. Nigeria will become the most secure and peaceful African nation; thus attracting more foreigners.
7. Each Province will have their own airline professionally managed. And with better roads/rail, air and land transport costs will crash.
8. With the rapid development occurring all over, Nigerias GDP will shoot up. Obtaining visas to travel out will become easy as more people will want to come in than go out. A worldwide immigration into Nigeria will commence, as Nigerians living abroad will be struggling with foreigners to enter the country. ''Nigeria will become the most desirable Nation to live in".
9. The central government at the FCT will become smaller and less powerful. There will be a mini-exodus from Abuja to the provinces as the action is now elsewhere. The outskirts of Abuja will no longer be heavily overpopulated. Abuja will become awesome again.
10. The 10th positive thing that would quickly happen positive idea.
Pls share for the sensitization of the benefits of Restructuring.
Nigeria must flourish again. |

oluwaahmed: I don't understand your point. America is the second largest shareholder in AFDB after Nigeria so they have every right yo demand for an external probe(audit) which even local Nigerian financial institutions do. Unidentified whistleblowers accused Adesina, 60, of handing contracts to acquaintances and appointing relatives to strategic positions. This up there is corruption and like GEJ said stealing alone is not corruption. Favoritism, tribalism & nepotism is corruption. Just because its the norm here doesn't mean its acceptable. BTW what will america stand go gain from this? Is afdb not meant to finance projects in Africa? Abi will afdb finance a developmental project in USA? Don't you know when someone of his calibre engages in this corrupt act, then funds given out on padi padi basis will most likely be underutilized leading to the stealing part of corruption? The man thinks AFDB is his local Nigerian govt parastatal where he can employ all his relations at the expense of merit. Pls get his tribal ass out of there that's how they ruined Nigeria. I can't agree less. We are so sentimental, the west is actually setting the track well for us but we are too deep into corrupt tendencies that we don't know what it means again. See, US has the strongest internal control system in the world, we should learn from them and not see everything as a witch hot. Mind you, I am a fan to Adesina but if he is found wanting he should go in for it. |

Christianity Etc › Re: Pastor Oyemade Disagrees With Oyedepo, Oyakhilome On The Closure Of Churches by Avidcolz: 9:51am On May 09, 2020 |
litigator: How many church buildings did Apostles Peter and Paul build? Atleast, they wrote over 75% of the new testament. The church in Ephisus, was it a physical building during the days of the great persecution?
Also, juxtapose your assertion with the Biblical elucidations that " the kingdom of God is within thee". Luke 17:20-21, particularly at verse 21.
Also, the old church shared everything in common and non lacked. Even those who had benefited from the good will of others but wanted to be greedy with theirs, met fatal punishment. How well has our modern church copied such precedent? Acts 4: 30-End; Acts 5.
During this period of Covid-19, how well is the church resources being shared amongst members of the church and by extension, members of the public as a tool of evangelism?
Jesus fed the congregation because He knew the importance of food to the body(biological feeding), and salvation to the soul( spiritual feeding).
How well has our church emulated this biblical precedent during covid-19. Is this not the best time to win souls to the kingdom via the apt deployment of both mechanism?
Jesus and Apostle Peter were both leaders of the Church, both yet they knew they were trustees of the church, thus, gave good account of stewardship and didn't owe much personal property. Acts 4:32-End
Even Jesus lead by example by borrowing the a colt He used for triumphant entry. He could afford to buy one of the very best, and just will be justified because it is for the propagation of the gospel , but instead borrowed one. Mark 11:3.
***Take notice that this is a lame excuse being used by our religious leaders in an attempt to justify the luxurious lifestyle and the acquisition of aircrafts and phantom automobiles. But that is a discourse for another day.
From Apostle Peter's encounter with the man at the beautiful gate, it is apt to conclude that He didn't control the church resources even as a leader and pastor of the first church. He thus gave freely that which he had which was his annoiting and heal the man of his infermity. Can same be said for modern day pastors and spiritual leaders? What changed?
Finally, lockdown has been lifted in some parts of the western world such as Italy where the church began, but the physical place of congregation is still under lockdown. Most of these pastors have church branches within such domicile, why are they not condemning the govt of such state as they do Nigeria?
Kindly educate my ignorance.
I await your timely response, God bless.
