Jemidun: Dear All,
Please I have a tricky situation.
I applied to WES last year, and got my credentials (obtained from Nigeria) evaluated before the WAEC brouhaha.
In current year, I have applied for an evaluation of an additional certificate which I obtained from the UK.
My question is : Do I need to evaluate WAEC also? No, you dont. |

Dame91: To God be the glory!!
Finally PPR is upon us !!! Here's my timeline. I can't really remember some of the details now to be honest. It seems like its been a very long while.
ITA: sometime in February 2018 AOR: 24/04/2018 1st PPR: 11/09/2018 Notified CIC of my intentions to get married ADR for my husband's documents: 13/09/2018 Submited documents: 28/10/2018 ADR: 10/01/2019 PpR: 28/05/2019
I thought PPT would come in a few days.. but not was I in for a surprise Request to do medicals again: 5/03/2019 Then we waited for ppr mail to come and nothing did. I was confused and worried so I came on this platform to ask for advice. I was told to send a mail. I sent a mail to AVO and still got nothing. So yesterday morning I sent a mail to AVO again and copied Cpc_ctd_ottawa and in less than 20 minutes I got a mail in my inbox stating that I had a new mail in my CIC account. In my mind i was like what does this people want again. I was so excited to see the PPR mail and it was even dated the same day. Thanks guys for your advice. I really really appreciate it. Congratulations to you and yours. Thankfully, it ended in praise. The new land will favour you. Cheers. |

Arosam: Please can someone give a detailed description of how to go about sending NECO to WES, all am seeing is WAEC Are you in Minna? Go to Minna head office, it's on the outskirts of Minna. Tell them you want to process your neco to Wes. They will give you the Neco remmital number, you go down to town and pay in a bank. Come back with receipt, fill in the forms. There is only one available courier DHL, and it cost 16500. WES sometimes(not always) requires a secondary verification from NECO, to have to go back and tell them to verify, or send another scratch card verification which would cost like 6k. Budget around 25k if doing it yourself minus the Secondary verification. |

Duchynwa: Hi All,
Please, I need an urgent help with the question below:
My friend wants to do her ECA and the date of birth (DOB) on her WAEC is different, i.e the dob on her WAEC is 2 years younger than her real age. Though she said she saw this at the point of picking up her certificate and complained, but, the process to get it corrected seems tedious and she just ignored it.
My QUESTIONS ARE:
1. Does it really matter to WES that her DOB on the intl passport is different from that on her WAEC since WES evaluation is actually on post-secondary degrees and I would expect that they ECA report does not report age.
2. I have looked for solution too but it seems WAEC no longer corrects error on DOB since some people falsify their age. I am wondering if any one have ever used "Comparative Education Service: University of Toronto School of Continuing Studies". They are listed as one of the authorised ECA by CIC for immigration and they stated on their requirement that secondary education is optional. We are considering using them but wondering if any one here can share his/her experience with them. Also, she wants to verify her ND and HND and they require double payment of $210 for each credential and that's $420. WES will be cheaper for us, and am wondering if NECO will do, as NECO doesn't not print DOB on the certificate.
3. Please, I will appreciate if anyone can advise us on this ASAP. 1. Wes doesn't use intl passport. So they would rely on information they get from your results and would report what they saw on the waec. Whether it differs from the one on your degrees. 2. Some attach a sworn affidavit of their real age and send to Wes with a copy of birth certificate. WES favours OND/HND. You pay the same amount of money irrespective of how many certificates you have. And it comes out as two or more certificate. Yes, NECO would suffice. |

nat138: Lol @ladymarshall just saw your mention. So full details below. Forgive me in advance, I am not a good story teller.
I have not fully reacted to getting COPR yet. It has been a long process. I don't even know which is more draining: waiting for PPR or those short weeks between PPR and COPR, imagine having to wait twice!
Below is my rough estimated costs on this journey so far, know the journey has not ended lol. I will put it in all different currencies I used ( rememeber I mentioned at the beginning of the journey I was literally a nomad): IELTS: £169, TRF courier CFA 20,000 ECA: CAN$233 Nigeria PCC: 10,000NGN (oga Moshood had a field day). I was away from the country at the time so had to finger print and courier to him. Courier cost: CFA20,000 PCC UK: £55 Medicals at IOM: 41,400NGN *2 POF: single applicant but showed funds for family of 2 RFRP: CAN$ 1,040 Passport Renewal: 25,000NGN GCMS notes: US$15 Passport transmission + courier: 30,480 * 2 I have not even included flight fares as my city does not have a panel physician Reason I have decided to include these costs is to give newbies an idea of what it entails. The process is not particularly cheap but it is sure worth it. At least I have secured a better future for my unborn kids by God's grace and to some extend my immediate family.
my final thoughts, keep busy while waiting. Don't put your life on hold, keep moving. I have changed jobs and moved cities in the course of this process, I know it is easier said than done for most people. Also be straight forward, keep your application simple. This thread is a goldmine and I tell people that if I direct them to this thread to DIY and they still require my assistance, they will have to pay for such services. This remains one of the most straight forward immigrant processes i have seen so far. Congratulations to you. What a journey. Thank God it ended in praise. May the new land favour you. |

Oh I just checked your profile and found out you help people with their WAEC/NECO processing. So sorry if my post would disrupt your business;I just couldn't resist sharing that vital information. I have benefitted from this thread since part 2 and it's one of my little ways of giving back. No vex o HI, oga. I am a SHE. Thank You. Congratulations on your COPR. Has it occurred to you that TIMES MAY HAVE CHANGED since you did your verification? WES constantly reviews their policy. On disrupting my business, smiles. Its much more than a business for me. I like the fact that I am able to help people. help fasten their process and give them a real life update on their applications. I would always be around to help people the much i can until I am not able to. sometimes everything isn't about money. We are adults and whatever anyone wants to do, he or she is free to do. I only shared a recent screenshot of a rejected transcript, not to ask people to patronize me. Last i checked, there are couple of others here too helping people out. But if i see something that is capable of costing one time and money, I wont hesitate to say it. |

Dannyko: Lol, and who is shooting herself in the foot. Did I mention you are to pay money anywhere? I assisted a friend last week following this process and it was accepted. Please if my post isn't useful to you, you can skip it.The process of using Hellofax to send certificates to WES was initiated by someone and today, almost everyone uses it. Just don't attack me or are you one of those agents collectiwng money from people to send their WAEC to WES ? Did you see the earlier screenshot I attached? The lady sent her documents in Feb, it got to Wes In march. It was received and acknowledged and was being reviewed. Just yesterday, they sent her a mail that her result was rejected because it wasn't sent from waec. Feb to May is four months. Now she may start afresh. Yes I assist people who are not in Lagos Or even in Lagos to process their Transcript. I have a contact who is a senior staff at WAEC and I can say I am quite knowledgeable on this. She has always told me warn people doing that. PS, the money Is going to WAEC and not any individual/agent as you stated. I wish you all the best bro. We no dey drag anything OK. Sha let us know when the final evaluation is done. Cheers. |

Dannyko: Congrats to those have gotten PPR and aced IELTS in this part.
Good morning house,we may have friends /colleagues who have issues with WAEC verification ;this is a simple way to do it : Ask the person to buy a WAEC scratch card, then go on WAEC website to view his result. He should then save his result in PDF format and scan to WES via Hellofax (same way certificates are sent).Importantly,he should download the WAEC verification form on his profile (via WES website) and fill same by inputting the scratch card pin/details on the form .WES will use that to verify and his WAEC will be acknowledged within few days. He needs not to pay a dime to anyone. I hope this will be helpful to someone. Please are you sure this is helpful? Someone forwarded a case to me last night, her waec was rejected because it wasn't sent from waec. Her documents got to wes in March and was accepted. After review, she was asked to go to the proper bodies to send the documents. Please let's be careful in dishing out advise so people don't waste time and money. Don't shoot yourself in the foot abeg. |

Sedehomon: Please house I need your help. I want to begin my ECA and write my Ielts but I'm quite confused as I don't know if I should use my maiden name or my married name in filling the forms because I'm in the process of getting a divorce and my passport bears my married name. I don't know if I should wait till the divorce is finalized and get a new passport with my maiden name before applying for an ECA and write my ielts or I should go ahead with my married name for both of them. won't it cause any discrepancies in my EE forms?
Thanks all. Hi, I would advice to stick with your maiden name for now. Wes actually doesn't even need your passport, just your documents. When filling express entry, you can now use a letter of explanation and affidavit of one and same person if still bearing your husband's surname. And upload divorce certificate when its finally completed. |
