DECISION TO TRAVEL
In 2017, I was single, I have a job that pays me shit compared to what I bring to the table. Worst of all is there is no growth structure. You do not know when you are due for promotion or a bonus. Anyway, sometime in April of 2017, my elder brother came up with plans to travel to Canada. He was discussing it with me but truthfully I wasn’t understanding, my heard was just turnioniown. A senior Registrar, earning above 400k wants to leave Nigeria? Anyway, in June, he and his wife started the journey by visiting Enugu to write the IELTS, well the score wasn’t what he needed apparently. That night, he decided to register for the exam again for July, well I registered too out of curiosity.

Oluwa bu onye dying minute.

Hello house, a big congratulations to all the PPR clinchers.
My question is on evaluating "two or more certificates" with WES.
Both institutions are different one in Nigeria and one outside Nigeria, we have the transcript of the one outside Nigeria but the school is Nigeria insists on sending themselves. How is it done should the school go ahead and send while we send copies of transcript/certificate onour own, then for Waec accreditation, when are we to process and send that. It's a bit confusing knowing you have to send different documents from various angles to WES.
Yes, you send different documents from different angles to WES. cool

Your school sends your transcript to them. Must be sent by the school as the ones sent by hand is often rejected.

You go to WAEC who sends transcript to them. Must be sent by WAEC.

You fax your Statement/degree to them or ask your school to include it in the transcript.
I faxed and school also inlcided in my transcript.

You can PM me if you need help with your WAEC/NECO.
For your school, you can drop the name and see if anyone would help you with a contact and what it would cost.

The journey is a tough one, you must be brave. wink

You guys must forgive this village girl who keeps asking questions at every point. Am about paying WES for ECA to get my reference number. I want to initiate my transcripts at my institutions this morning and I see options that am unsure of

Credit Card: I don't have a Credit Card. I do have a Master Card Debit Card (ATM) will this work

Western Union Online Transfer: I don't know how this works although I do know there's Western Union in Nigerian Banks. I see stickers and ads at bank.

So which is the right one to choose? I'll prefer Master Card ATM Card or Mobile Bank Transfer from my phone whichever that works. Pleas answer if you know. Thank you.
GTB naira MasterCard. Ensure the address on your account statement matches with the one you are inputing.

Use the regular standard post.

Use a system, just input your card details, it will tell you once it is successful. Then wait for few hours to be debited.

I was in Ask Kubeir on Facebook, an Indian group for immigration and I can tell you for free that they share even the minutest detail.

They get Ielts, they share timeline. They get PPR they share. Rejections they share. They share everything shareable and people learn. Even admissions they share timeline. I've seen the most stupid questions in my opinion there, yet no one chides them for it.

I learnt a lot from peoples PPr testimonies here and sometimes when I see cases similar to mine, I am encouraged.

You never can tell who is being encouraged by someone's PPR stories. Especially those whose applications have taken a while.

My friend sef has asked me to start typing my own because it will be like ten pages so I don't forget details.

Moral of the story: PPR stories are not Nonsense Novels.
Thank you.

The current total cost can't be 19,000. 19k covers only WAEC processing fee (10k) and courier service (9k). You still have to pay for affidavit (between 2k-4k depending on where you're doing it). You will also pay for letter of attestation (between 2k-3k depending on where you're doing it). You will buy scratch card 1,500, buy envelopes as well as include 2 passport photographs.
Thank you. Was about saying this too.

And UPS is the cheapest courier, although not fast.
They have feedex and DHL whose prices are higher.

So don't be quick to say its 19k. That's just for waec and courier.

Make una no vex say my questions too much. Please anyone know the cost of transcripts from these schools to WES?

UNIZIK - Nnamdi Azikiwe University (1st Degree)
Unilag - University of Lagos (Masters)
NECO - National Examinations Council
WAEC - West African Examination Council
CIPM - Chartered Institute of Personnel Mgt. of Nig.

Abeg any gain in evaluating NECO and WAEC, both have good greats no combination required.

Between NECO and WAEC which one is better (Faster / Cheaper)? I can use either.

Thanks for answering.
Unizik 10700 for transcript, 11100 for courier.

Neco is faster and cheaper. They don't have bulk applications like waec. Courier is however more expensive. But compared to waec, still cheaper. Affidavit not needed. But you will need a contact in minna who will be willing to help you go.

Neco is not cheaper as earlier stated. Courier cost about 16500 to Canada. As at the time of the initial post, I was working on a budget of 10k for courier but was misinformed.

So its almost same as waec just a faster timeline due to lesser applications.

Modified.

VO: Accra
Family of 4

My sister lives in Canada and had been asking me to either visit or move. The Canadian embassy was doing shakara for me, so I couldn’t be bothered. But in 2016, I was tired of Nigeria, and being a nomad I decided to attempt moving to Canada. We explored the legal options we had for the US and Canada. The consensus was to pursue the two for our family.

We started the process for Canada first, but we weren’t too serious until last year when we literally intensified the application process.

IELTS
We took the initial IELTS in December of 2016. I didn’t study at all – had a new baby and was just exhausted. Even though I got a band of 8.0 or so my writing was low (6.5). My husband did much better than me but being the principal applicant, I had to retake mine.

2nd IELTS – MOD – Sept 2018
For the second, I concentrated on the speaking and writing to improve my points. I used only IELTS by Liz to practice and it worked for me.
Points went from 424 to 484

ECA
This started in 2017. I had to evaluate my foreign degrees twice, so it cost me twice as much with WES. But it was straight forward and my mistake – I only submitted my transcript for one of the one-year masters’ programmes. When that was corrected, I had the equivalent of masters' and bachelors' for my education.

But my husband’s degree from Uni Cal was turnoniown literally. Other ones came on time or slightly delayed. Though I can’t remember the timelines, UniCal .. phew! Maybe almost a year!

EE Profile

When we created our profile in March 2018, we realised our points were low. So, I decided to either retake the IELTS or try TEF since I had basic knowledge of French. But IELTS favoured me when I took it in September. With a score of 484 and according to a dear friend – we entered the pool naked.

ITA
Received on September 28 – we had been gathering documents, but the travel section was the hardest for both of us especially for me completing the application due to our extensive travel experience. Our POF was deposited in a foreign bank – this caused us the most delay getting an official letter from them. We put together my salary account, GTB, Foreign Bank accounts for both of us (as savings). Hubby wrote and notarised a letter stating I had access to the funds when needed.

who reassured me that God will do something or at least give me a sign before my birthday. So exactly one week before my birthday, we saw that sign in form of an ADR.

We also remembered that our son’s passport was due for a renewal, so we started the process after receiving the ADR. We also went to Studio 24 in Lagos the weekend of my birthday and took our passport pictures in anticipation of the passport request. It’s best to align your faith with action …..

I joined the Accra WhatsApp group this month and they have been equally as amazing. This month particularly has been amazing at AVO – April Showers . I saw movement last week when they started processing my background. I think that’s when the real anxiety set in …
Fast forward today, we received have our PPR – with 2 Canada visitor visa rejections(actually 1 was withdrawn), I UK rejection over 10 years ago, I US 221G from last year (all for me o and declared in my application) and a host of many imperfections I might not even have noticed . My family and I are favoured.

I have learned that everyone’s experience and journey is different. Whenever I come across stories which were not what I wanted for mine, I just spoke into existence what I wanted to see. Most importantly I have come to realise that no one can contend with God’s will. It will always prevail at the end – and in this journey, he reminded me that He has the heart of kings in his hands. So, when fear about Accra came up, I reminded myself that God created the VO’s in Accra. There was no need to worry.

I promised that I will tell my story here even though I have been silent and on the AVO group too. You all have been wonderful and encouraging - thank you to this thread for the support (I’ve been here since last year getting tips and all),to my hubby who has been super-duper supportive emotionally and financially, to my sister who basically held my hand through this process(we are on our way) and my friends offline ( Mrs. U and oga E) who have been on this journey with me and prayed for me as well. May you all find favour as we did. Amen
Congratulations sis..may Canada favour you and yours..cheers

Pls how long does Waec processing takes?
its been 2weeks already and my result hasnt been sent
It takes two weeks for waec to process. Sometimes more.
Another three to four days to be sorted at courier.
Courier takes five to six days to get to wes.

If you have a contact. He or she can help you monitor the movement and whether its been worked on.

The voluminous daily applications hasn't made it any easier.

That was why I suggested anyone using wes to hurry up before WAEC exam starts. The waiting times then could be frustrating.

What kind of slight mistake is that?

When did you write WAEC? Ie year.

WAEC won't correct it. It's already in their record.

And affidavit will do.
As long as your name matches with credentials that appear on all the documents.

If it makes you sleep better at night, attach the affidavit in your form and send together to WES.

Hello Friends,

Been a little bit active via my other account, but I'll be very active with this one going forward. Big congratulations to the PPR clinchers. I can imagine how you feel. I pray i feel that way too soonest grin grin.

Today i sent my Transcript to WES via DHL. Felt good about it. I'm making progress.

WAEC stuffs were sent yesterday through DHL, via a lady i met on this platform. She made the whole waec request and stuffs on my behalf as i am based far away from Lagos. I was a bit scared (Trust - as i've never met her) but it turned out good. God bless you dear.

I had earlier wrote my IELTS but was unlucky. scored:

Speaking......7.5
Reading........7.0
Writing.........7.0
Listening.......7.0 cry cry

Was a big blow as i understand i needed "8" in Listening. That was my first attempt, but i'll go for it again. God go do am.

In any case, wanted to announce my official arrival to this family. Wish me well, welcome me and take me as one of yours. Our story shall eventually end in Praise.
Welcome officially.

Which courier did you use?
How did you send it across?
Did you enclose your reference number on the scratch card sent with your details filled correctly?

I would advise, download an e-scratch card form, get a scratch card from waec. Fill in the form, still enclose the scratched card in the form. Send via courier, get a tracking number and monitor where it is per time.

Fast forward to 2016, after having my two children I thought let me pursue my masters and also give my children a better and sane living environment while hubby come visiting because we assumed that the PR process was out of our league since I no gree get my masters , I dey chase man and to born ..

Thanks to this thread on Nairaland….I learnt 70% of what I know about the express entry on this thread. It wasn’t an easy journey but it has ended well.

So for those still at one stage or the other, keep faith alive, it will surely happen.

In the other news, we are selling our stuff at giveaway prices, if you are in Lagos and looking to buy something in that regards please pm.

Thank you guys for reading! (Typed on the 28th February, continued on 04 March 2019 in faith and finished 11 April 2019)

Senior members,

Please I need help regarding sending my b.tech and waec result to WES. I read some people talking about sending it along with there degree. Can you confirm to me if this is required. I'm at this stage now.

Thanks
Yes. You would need to send the documents to WES.

B.Tech separately and direct from the school.

waec separately and direct from Waec.

You can fax your degree to them via Hellofax.

You can PM me if you need help with your WAEC processing.
