That was a period in January, when we went through a rough patch as a team. With no DM, we leaked too many goals after Gavi got injured.

Now, we play Christensen as DM. Ter stegen returned as goal keeper. Pau Cubarsi was discovered. Kounde was moved to RB. Our defense has stabilized. Four clean sheet in last 5 games.

CB - Ronald Araujo, Andreas Christensen, Pau Cubarsi, Jules Kounde, Inigo Martinez
RB - Joao Cancelo, Jules Kounde, Hector Fort, Julian Araujo
LB - Alejandro Balde, Joao Cancelo, Hector Fort

So all things being equal, this is how our defense will look next season. We're well stocked in this department. So yes, we are good to go in defense.

So there is literally no space for Mikayli Faye. I like him alot because he can score goals but I think the best thing for him would be to go out on loan, get more first division experience. Then return in 2025/2026 season to take his place ahead of Inigo Martinez who would be leaving.
