Congratulations! More wins

author=awesomeJ post=139537090]@ositadima2 and everyone else interested, market has been slow for a while now, this means even if I grow my portfolio more, it doesn't entirely translate to more trading volumes.

So I decided to shed some cash and buy my car, maybe perhaps cos you mentioned it too last week when we won the league.

It's a 2019 Rx F-SPORT with CLEAN TITLE. Too many salvage cars in this country.

Financing by Autochek.
Since I make much more than any cost of funds.

Insurance premium on the car is more than ALL my entire portfolio just last year.

God is Awesome! 🎉🎉

Happy Sallah to our Muslim brothers and Sis.
Thanks boss 🙌

Talk about some well-earned, deserved arrogance grin

By the way, an EV would have done the same and probably more so.
Okay, maybe when the payment on this one expires and I want to upgrade.

Also maybe ev infrastructure (charging station) will have improved by then.

As for ev maintenance, it won't really be an issue since Autochek bulks maintenance and warranty into their package, it will be their job.

NSEstudent:
Is there a reason you didn't consider EV?
I'm not a frequent driver.
I work from home.

So I just chose this one cos I want it to signal some level of success and comfort.

Mostly so people can see that God blesses.

This one serves that purpose well, my phone's camera doesn't quite do it justice 😁

On a lighter note, i hope you know clean title does not mean the car doesn't have accident history. Nice ride by the way! Congratulations.
It had a minor accident in Quebec last October, cost about CAD2000 to fix, according to CarFax, but if you know what boys are shipping into this country, you will marvel 😁😁.

And market is just doing press up oo. July /August/September might even be much better. My only fear would be people taking profit enmass to position for the Dangote IPO.
We'll keep trading it anyhow it moves 😁

I aint selling jack. In fact I bought more Access today and may buy more on Monday.

If heaven wants to fall let it fall
Why are your share purchases always mentioned alongside heaven falling?

By "heaven" are you referring to a celestial object like an asteroid or planet or even a giant star?

Cos I don't see how just buying access bank could possibly generate enough gravitational force to tilt such body off their set course and thus cause a collision with our planet?

Na joke I dey o 😁😁😁

Okay. So they will be alliwed to invest in the IPO for "as much as posible". What is "possible" is what is permitted by law!
And all the PFCs alone can take up almost all the IPO.
Yes.
If we take total pension assets as N30trn and permissible equity exposure as 25% aggregate.

That'll be N7.5trn of pension money available for the entire equities market.

Prudential guidelines should forbid more than 20% of overall exposure to any single company, so another 20% limit on that 7.5trn means pfas can only drop N1.5trn max or circa $1bn or circa 20% of the entire offer.

So there'll still be 80% of the offer size available
InvestmentRe: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by awesomeJ(m): 6:06pm On May 22
mikeapollo:
You mean $50bollion or $5billion?
The entire entity will be valued at $50bn for the offer(s).
The $5bn is the proceeds of selling 10% of the business.

It will add about 70trn to our current market cap, an thus hold over 30% of the market.

There will hardly be any need to check all other stock prices any day it gains or loses.

Cos any price movement on it will push or pull the ASI in the same direction.

Did you read the release by PENCOM on the waiver granted to pension fund custodians wrt to the IPO? The "as much as possible" is within the context of what the new waiver permits them.
The waiver is not in respect of the set limits, as a matter of fact, I think the PENCOM statement explicitly states that those limits remain.

The waiver is specifically to make the asset qualify as investable for pfa, cos the current regulations only allow investment in companies that have been in operation for certain number of years and that have been consistent with dividend payments. Both criteria are ones the refinery fails to meet, hence the waiver.

I doubt if the private placement would be at a discount to the IPO price. The reason is there is already huge awareness and interest by the public, so once the PP is placed with the few high networth investors, idustry watchers and market players would get to know the price and it would be difficult for Alhaji to later offer same shares to the general public at higher price for the IPO, unlike what usually happens under normal PP.
Both the PP and IPO will be offered at $50bn valuation.

BUA CEMENT dividend came in, but I noticed that 10% wasn't deducted for WHT. More like 4% or something.
Mine too. only 4.073% was witheld, I hope the company or their registrar will sort NRS if they error is found, cos I will have spent the money before then grin grin

Your line of argument is understandable but it's to a large extent mutually exclusive to criticism of Government.

Being generous, philanthropism, giving aids, etc doesn't exonerate the same person from criticizing a Govt where they feel pained or underperforming.

I don't know how you came to the conclusion by infering that those who criticise are less generous even when they have the means undecided

There are many more people doing much more than you with same financial status and dependent and are still yet criticizing the Govt where they think it's necessary?
Why?
Cuz they shouldn't even be doing such massive aid in the first place.
They have sacrificed their comfort and luxury they are entitled to live and alturustically, built boreholes, grant scholarships to out of school children, etc.
It doesn't stop them from criticizing the govt for these short comings.

You present your disposition as though those who are generous enough to their community and people around them are naturally less critical of the government; especially on the things they are generous on.

But you will be surprised, it's could mostly be the other way around.
cuz they are coming from the point of sacrifice and what they have personally given up for a responsibility that isn't theirs.

To me, Being Generous and still Critical of govt are mutually exclusive events and independent entities.
how did you come to the wrong conclusion that you you assumed I made.
The post was clear enough. Take time to read it or use an AI to interprete.
that's better than misinterpreting as you have clearly done.
