Seun:You really should look up the meaning of contradictory. So if you had a 360 degree camera system, the fact that the 360 degree view shows a tree and a tank around your car whilst the rear camera only shows the tank is what your ignorant mind defines as contradictory If John says Mary Magdalene saw Jesus, while Luke says Mary Magdalene and two other Mary saw Him, in what thwarted reasoning does that constitute a contradiction. Is it my burn? You will have an entire eternity to learn these things in regrets, while the rest of us are cruising around distant planets and galxies. As if your choice to believe does any favours to any person. Good luck with your hope of escaping hell. |
Hello Seun, could you make post quotes be references rather than copies That way when a post is modified, the update is automatically pushed to all quotes of such posts without the quoters needing to modify their own quotes of said posts. I'm sorry if it's a feature that's already been asked or even implemented, I didn't go through the many previous posts on the thread. |
yMcy56:I'm not the source of your ignorance and confusion and I wish you keep wallowing in them for as long as you choose. If failure is all you get from this market, I'm still not to blame. Just get more knowledge and experience and with time, you might have better results. |
9am to 4pm should be sweet! ![]() |
yMcy56:Sure mention him with such if he's comfortable with it. |
yMcy56:Pull my legs with something positive. Do not associate me with anything questionable. I'm a pastor in the making. |
yMcy56:You're very ignorant if you think trading is illegal in a stock market, or if you think the only way to succeed in it is via sharp practices. If you have 1% knowledge, what you need to do is calm down and understand that there are people with 10000000% knowledge and they will definitely succeed in areas where you struggle. What you should worry about is your constant request for people to drop insider information for you, that's what is illegal and I've warned you about it previously. Requesting for and using insider info is illegal and you should stop it. Smart trading on the other hand is not only legal but something the people at the exchange will celebrate us for when the time is right. |
aj8:Good evening sir. 1. Yes sir. N831m sales and N815m purchases (reinvestment for the purpose of tax 😁) for total N1.65bn trades 2. The transactions fees are set to a total of 2.3% round trip. Buy side is about 0.9175% statutorily, sell is 1.2175% for a total of 2.135%, this 2.135% is what I add to whatever my entry price is to get my BEP. I add another 0.165% to cover the cost of X-Alert as well as the little markup on the selling prices. (I added an asterisk with a corresponding footnote on that line in the cost break down) I spoke about how getting an exact percentage can be tough especially with X-Alert. So I use 2.3% for now. I might refine the calculation whenever I'm in the mood to code again, but for now 2.3% works just fine. 1. Spot are gains that I made from positions that I entered and exited within the reporting period. If it's a weekly report for instance, my spot gains are gains I made from positions I opened that week and exited that same week. It's my favorite 2. Realized gains are from positions I exited in the review period, but opened prior to that period 3. Unrealized gains (paper profit) are gains from positions I opened in the period but am yet to exit. They're my least favorite. In Q4'25, I had negative realized gains, cos I had to exit some positions at a loss in November. I'm glad you're paying attention to my small report. I hope I was able to provide the answers you wanted. |
Teenaira:Thank you sir/ma 😁 |
isaacosas01:March has historically been one of my slowest months. I expected it. I think barring any new listings, and barring recovery on AIRTELAFRI, the index will do 185 - 225k Or more narrowly 190 - 210. We can still trade the swings. 😁 Long termers may find the quarter boring. |
isaacosas01:It's proprietary, it's spiritual too. The evidence that it works can be seen from my posts here like mentioning the thresholds the index will cross per time, saying japaual won't hit #5 when some people thought there was $21bn gold worth that would push it to #1000,and recently stating that PRESCO would close on full bid this past Monday. I said that the Friday before. If you can be right about most of these projections, it's only natural for your results to reflect your accuracy. |
@HeisinMe, it looks like you edited your post to mention the specific figures you're not clear about. 11m is value of equity(stocks alone) held in January. 21m is the portfolio value( 11m stocks + 10m cash) Usually 10-70% of my portfolio is held in cash. It has to be that way for every trader. I hope this is clear now. I also think the reports labels them distinctly?? |
HesInMe:I don't get what you mean? Could you point out the figures you're not clear with? I think your questions are asked in good faith, so we're good, and I'd be happy to clarify. |
ositadima1:You're right. |
ositadima1:You mean your own strategy will soon cast You don't have any clue on what I do so why not speak just on the one you understand. When you say a strategy will cast, it's only your own strategy that will experience that cos that's the only one you know. This is an upgrade though from when you thought it was all false or that it could only work in a bull market. You always try to explain something you're completely clueless about. |
HesInMe:Great questions. As for the top line, Total volume traded is more important than just sales in this business, maybe you do not agree. As for the gross profit. I was already thinking it was too vague in the report while i went to my barber's this morning. I'm back now, and i've updated the code to add more context. Gross profit = Total sales - value of stocks held at start - value of stocks purchased + value of stocks held at end. see:

SonofElElyonRet:😁😁😁 Full year target is N50bn volume at 2-5% net margins. Usually over 80% of the gains are realized at any point in time, the unrealized portion is always below 20%. I'm particular about that. 😁 |
PassiveInvestor:Okay sir 😁 |
Q1 2025, I started with a N2m portfolio, and then took loans at up to 156%, now i reject loan offers, I even reject money from friends at 0% cost ![]() God is awesome! |
Guys, I have some preliminary Q1 numbers for my trading, they're pretty compared to last quarter. N1.65bn with 2.16% net margins traded compared to N669m at 1.32 the quarter still does have 2 more days sha, but i just finished vibe coding this income statement feature so I'm happy to share. Full quarter volume will be above N1.7b with earnings likely to top N37m I paid N1.3m for just stamp duties alone ![]()

Yay!!!!! one of my faves, AIRTELAFRI is finally being revived. ![]() |
jckgroup1:Wow... Thank you. I'll read up on it. I should also start planning a new brokerage account, cos the current ones I use don't even allow trades on the DEBT board. Thanks again. ![]() |
Xidget:If it closes at 1710 today, next week it will be on FULL BID. It will close above 1800 today though. |
Index above 200k ![]() I got the call wrong this time, but it doesn't matter, since we're all making money still. |
crownprince2017:I'm revising my volume target for 2026 to N50bn with 2-5% net margins. Since that figure is higher that the revenue made by most NGX companies, I'm realizing that my activities are becoming more significant in the market, so I can no longer make as much comments as before ![]() |
PETERiCHY:When the market is open!!!! Always! ![]() |
Agbalowomeri:As many times as it oscillates na. As long as we're not doing fixed deposit. |
Market set for 4 consecutive red close. First weekly red since January. The pullback was necessary. |
Agbalowomeri:Not necessarily. |
4willer:The shares aren't on their portal so they can't be missing there from. The shares are in your CSCS account. Sometimes their trading system fails to capture every trade in the market, thereby causing a disparity between what's shown in your portfolio balance and what's actually in your CSCS account. Whenever this happens(since last July), I raise them an email, I know for a fact that Atlass does a complete reupload for the entire session thereby correcting for all other customers as well, I haven't noticed if Morgan does it system wide too or just localize the fix to my account, but they do fix for me whenever it happens. I have a system that tracks my portfolio valuation down to the last kobo, so if anything is amiss, it's easy and fast for me to spot and escalate. Try to get your CSCS statement. If you can't get it via email, you can subscribe to CSCS online access to give you direct access. |
Agbalowomeri:Okay sir 😁 |
Agbalowomeri:If the new born baby can dictate the enthalpy of the fire, he will make a sweet toy of it 😁😁 When market is too high, you turn it down a bit, later you raise it back up, and life is just sweet. |
