Do we really have in surplus though? Industry capacity utilization is about 50-60% at best.
You're corroborating the statement of surplus with this stat.

If there's underutilization, it simply means there's excess capacity barring any mechanical limitations.

They won't grind more stones than there's demand for ba.

Plus a significant portion of the clinkers ground are for exports.

I am not interested. Let me remain ignorant on this thread. You can go over there and discuss with your geniuses.
Aim is solely to address the derailment concerns raised.

This sort of debates hardly yield any results as folks on either sides already have their strongly formed opinions.

The problem with your comparison is that Iran is not Borno. This is the same mistake people make in trading, comparing two things that are not equivalent simply because they feel emotionally connected.

Nigerians are living in Iran and doing well. Iran, as a whole, is more advanced than Nigeria both educationally and technologically. Iran has existed for thousands of years, you’ve heard of Persia. They had scientific and technological developments long before Britain, which later gave rise to the United States.

Even the concept of the “algorithm” used in modern computing comes from a term rooted in ancient Persian scholarship.

You are not comparing Borno with a civilization that is over 3,000 years old. I challenge you to research and study.
You're also comparing the Ayatollahs and IRGC to the people of Iran, that's even a worse comparison.

The 3000 year old civilization you refer to is of the people of iran. We all love them.

this war isn't against them, instead it's against the evil and ideological regime.

But guys, please let's continue on this temporary thread instead:

Cos oil prices alone don't look like they can bring 12k.

There's also news about their conversion of most MNPU assets to the new favorable tax regime. I don't know if the conversion has now reached 100%, but they announced a major portion was successfully converted a few months back. That has the biggest impact on earnings.

Now market updates:

Deal counts moderating below the 139k surge we had last week.

ChAMS is going through a lot, some of us have liquidity to pick the discount since it's extremely cheap.

SEPLAT should cross 10k soon.

People complain that we are derailing, yet you keep engaging me. I have no choice but to respond. Look at Trump’s posts, angry people say things that do not necessarily reflect official government policy. I’m sure you have said things once or twice in your life that you later regretted.
Yes , this is a fair comparison - Trump's truth to Khamenei'd tweet, But the one you did earlier with a tweet and a charter no follow.

Let’s summarize the points so far:

a. Israel claims that the land is theirs because Israelites once lived there.
b. The problem is that, for some reason, they migrated, and Palestinians expanded across the region. Keep in mind that Palestinians also lived there while Israelites were present.
c. With support from Western allies, they took those lands by force.
d. This logic is challenged when you consider that even the Bible indicates those cities existed before the Israelites captured them.
e. Palestinians and parts of Lebanon, whose lands and people were affected, formed groups such as Hezbollah and Hamas as guerrilla forces to try to compel Israel to relinquish captured lands.
f. Iran supports these groups, as they need resources to fight.
g. Israel is also said to have a broader vision, sometimes referred to as “Greater Israel,” aimed at expanding influence in the Middle East.
h. As a result, the conflict continues.
Your analysis would have made sense if this fight was between the Israelis and those people who occupied the land before them

The fact that the Palestinians also once lived there is not the basis. The basis and justification is that the Israelis lived there long before any Palestinians and so they have a right to reclaim the land as long as they never sold it to the Palestinians or gave it to them based on any treaty.

In this case, they were forced out due to oppressive power, now that they themselves have oppressive power of their own, they can justifiably reclaim the land by the same oppressive token

You guys just amuse me. You think if we excavate Onitsha back 3,000 years, you think its people that look and talk like the current occupants that used to live there? How do you think Onitsha people will feel if some people arrived claiming their ancestors once lived in Onitsha millenials back and hence they have the right to the land?
If indeed the archaeological facts supports their claims, and they can win the fight, good for them.

It would be a different story if the excavation instead shows that the old occupants were indeed onitsha people and not the invaders, then theur plight would not be founded.

The people who were there before the Israelites can mention their names and come forward to retrieve their land.
You can also help us to call their name so that we can search for them and tell them to go back to their land. Simple. Please do.

I have answered you: Hezbollah and Hamas exist because Israel created the conditions for them when it encroached. These two groups did not exist before, so they can say anything because they are at war. Trump said his own as well.
Why they exists is not the contention here. For you to think the leaders of Israel should condone their terrorist acts and bear loss of lives to their citizenry is what we won't agree with you on.

Who cares why boko haram or iswap exists, if we had a leader like netanyahu that would degrade them and preserve the lives of innocent Nigerians why would you object?

Okay, maybe you were not following, I stated it here.
Okay so if this records are true?

An Emperor took land from a set of people, then banished them and gave the land to another set, yet when that set of people are now able to reclaim the land, you prefer to refer to it as stealing or land grabbing?

Why do they or anyone have to reckon with the oppressive emperor's decision? Abi since when has it become a crime to find strength to reclaim what you lost to oppression?

Who made the charter, and which country? Does the UN recognize Hamas as a country?

These groups came into existence because of Israel injustice, not before. There was no Hezbollah or Hamas before 1948. I don’t know how many times I have to repeat the same thing, people can say whatever they want under pressure, just like Trump’s message a few nights ago.
you're only making repetitions cos you have a confused position.

If someone mentions that an organization has a charter, you simply deny that they do not, or find a way to make the fact immaterial, not bringing lame counter argumaents like, but no country has the charter. You should agree that you can really do better.

Again, I am asking you one more time: has any country in the Middle East had such a charter, yes or no? Please stop these circular arguments.

Does the regime which Israel attacks have such charter?

Where is the circular argument? You arguments really have no substance here.

My friend, the Palestinians have a right to the land they have lived on for more than 1,000 years. I am sure you wouldn’t fold your arms and watch someone else take your property, even if you had ten times that. In their case, they don’t.
What's your proof that the palestinians have lived on the land for more than 1000 years whereas the Israelis have not, cos you're insinutaing the israelis have not right to the land.

after you watch small Aljazeera, why not try balancing your biased knowledge with other historical facts and archaeological records?

So, you agree that no country has such a charter, yes or no? No need to try to rationalize.

We're talking about the fact that it's evil for any set of people to chant and plot death to another set, when the latter set becomes proactive and deals decisively with the evil plotters, it's pure idiocy for folks like you to start wailing about their conquest or try to make it about some dumb debate about which country has bigger power.

Sorry, but you need to calm down and think rationally. The Middle East is not one country, there are Palestinians, Iraqis, Iranians, Syrians, Lebanese, and others. It is not one continuous people.

This conflict originally involved Palestine and Israel, but due to long-standing relationships over hundreds of years, other countries have intervened. In the same way, if a country were to attack Italy, much of Europe would likely intervene.

Do you need any further explanation?
I don't need any further explanation, what you should do is see the fault in your own thinking. A sane country with 1,600,000 square miles of land has no business wanting to exterminate 9 million people just because it feels they stole 8600 square miles of land which it has no real claims to in the first place.

If they cared so much about the palestinians, why not give them just 20,000 square miles around tehran. or if your false claims about land grabbing were true of israel, why did they ever agree to give up 23,500 square miles of the Sinai penissula which they had taken as spoil of war from Egypt?

And don't be confused to think that these folks even want a 2-state solution, their choice is everything from the river to the sea, land that they're only delusional about owning

That may look terrible, but it is part of war, not necessarily by Iran. It is a form of guerrilla warfare: if you don’t have advanced aircraft, you fight with what you have, which often involves surprise attacks.

Did you take the time to read how Israel was treating Palestinians in the occupied territories before October 7, or does your knowledge start there? Palestinians in their own land were treated in ways many compare to apartheid.

Everything you’re seeing is action and reaction that dates back to after the Second World War. But if you only follow Western media without critical analysis, you won’t understand much.
so if surprise attack seems good to you, why isn't only when Israel does it that you prefer to wail?

where is the title you issued to the palestinians to verify that the land belongs to them?

How much or archaeolgical proof do you have to support your ridiculous claims?

So beacuse you watch small Aljazeera now and spend most of your time with chatgpt, you think you have anything close to real understanding on the matter?

I asked him a question to understand Michael’s point of view. It’s clear he is repeating things without understanding them. Now, I can explain why there is friction between Iran and Israel, I’ve actually addressed this before.

After World War II, people who identified as Jews, mostly in Germany and other parts of the world, were compensated by the British and the U.S., the war’s victors. Part of that compensation involved establishing a country for them in the Middle East. After that, Israel began to expand, which contributed to the issues we still see today. With the support of the U.S., Israel has, over the years, taken more land from Palestinians and parts of Lebanon.

In the last 20 to 30 years, America has had little choice but to side with Israel due to powerful Israeli lobbying organizations like AIPAC, which to a large extent influence who gets elected.
you really should stop reading AI slops.

your faulty thinking believes 8600 square miles is enough reason to want to wipe out an entire race by some idiots with over 1.6 million squaere miles of land mass? yet you submit your reasoning to whatever rubbish AI cooks fo youhuh?

The person you quoted IS RIGHT

USA and Israel have suffered reputational damage on account of this war

Secondly, all those armed groups iran back in the region are resistance groups that sprung up IN RESPPONSE to Israeli aggression and land grabbing

Im glad you even used the benue and plateau situation, because the Israeli are the fulani herders in this scenario.

I wont be a child growing up in the West Bank or Gaza, then a group of Israeli settlers will come chase me out of my land because one. "uzeless god " somewhere promised you the land, and i would not fight back, ko possible

Two states solution is the way to go, but zig Israel dont want it
What they want is uncontested freeway to land grab and kill with impunity, and there is 48 years of history at the very least to prove it

Trump moving the US embassy to Jerusalem was a provocation that other presidents knew the ramifications of, but refrained from doing it
You need intelligence to understand that your perceived reputational damage isn't on thesame scale as the losses the terrorists have suffered. their own losses are far worse, cos they're DEAD!!!!

or perhaps you would prefer someone kills you to them damaging your useless reputation

You are one of the people who love to twist narratives to serve your interests, even in the face of obvious truth.

The Iranian regime, since 1979 under Ayatollah Khomeini , declared their ambition to wipe Israel off the surface of the earth. Netanyahu was not the PM of Israel at the time.
Ayotallah Khamanei, since coming to power in 1989, continued the declaration and ambition to destroy Israel. Netanyahu was not the PM of Israel in 1989

You are quiet and silent on the unwarranted, irresponsible and reckless declaration and ambition by the Iranian regime to unleash bloodshed and kill Israelis living in Israel, exterminate them from this world by building nuclear weapons and sponsoring terror allies in Hamas, Hezbollah, Houthis etc.
Rather, probably by reason of high-grade anti-Israel mischief, you are now turning around to blame Netanyahu and accuse him of aiming to secure uncontested power in the middle east! How pathetic!

With the direction of your assertions in these matters, I would not be surprised if one day, you blame the leaders of Benue and Plateau and accuse them of fighting the Fulanis because they want to secure uncontested power in the middle belt!
They are quick to forget October 7th. A terrible massacre that the idiots even wanted to turn out worse for Israel. I wonder what some folks hope to get from supporting a useless terrorist regime that kills even its own citizens at will.

If Israel were a mediocre military that got oppressed, perhaps some of them would be happier, now they decided to stick to their "never again" resolution and their enemies keep falling all around them from Nasrallah to Sinwar to Khamenei.

Yet some folks prefer to be making useless analysis that serve zero purpose and even defy logic atimes.
