if you go before a panel and mention 2 years experience, you're likely to get a bored look. . .it isn't exactly a long time, career-wise.

2yrs as a banker, 2yrs as a financial advisor. = 4yrs professional work experience.

Dude, you better get your arse down and serve your fatherland  grin

I earned five thousand naira (5,000) not quite long ago in the North, some folks in the govt schools/ ministry were earning 2k, serving the fatherland with pride cool  cool

Its not about what you get paid, though you might get up to 40-80k in Lagos anyway, depending on the bank. Truth is that without that discharge certificate, nobody will touch your CV.

kai siddon dere jare. wich kain fatherland. father land wey force me go spend thousands of ££££££££ to get good quality education. well dem suppose dey priviledge say i wan bring my talent and experience wey oyinbo give me come work for dem sef or serve wth dem. lol grin

its about what you get paid for me wen u get a home to run and house rent to pay ooo. so dat 2k or 5k no go reach anywia but 50k or 25 or more , i fit manage .lol

Adverts are normally circulated within the camp, you can as well network with fellow corp members to get tips of test dates.
Ermmm, sorry your 2yrs experience can only add value after you have passed the written test, and are seated before the oral panel, some organizations even do aptitude tests for experienced hires grin

If you understand that virtually all the corp members want to 'serve' in the banks, you will understand why the need for the aptitude test.

yes ur correct i know stanbic conduct test for experienced hires. so what is the salary range for corpers if u av a clue and also could it be increased based on my experience ? jst asking cos if no be say this nysc dey compulsory b4 person fit get jb for 9ja i for no worry.

Welcome home, boy. I hope your own axeman is not the type that carry a miniature pick axe in your trousers  grin  grin

Any way, there is one general way of doing Youth service in banks/big corporations in Naija. And that is by writing the aptitude tests they normaly conduct for Corp members, if you pass, you still get interviewed and that determines your fate.
But then, if you are well heeled, i know there might still be other ways wink  wink

na wao thanks for the insight, BUT how will i know when these test is being conducted and besides i thought this test is usually for entry level staffs or newbies from university. BUT i have got work experience of which 2yrs till present is with a bank in the uk.

so ow will i know when these tests are being conducted or should i just go to these bank head offices and drop my cv there ? also wots deir pay like

Not suprised. the place needs to either ne expanded or demolished and rebuilt or better still move the airport to a larger area where they can rebulild it again from scrtach . haba. immediately you land na heat go greet you combined with stench of engine oil and grease, and even the escalator no dey work, den 3immigration stamping passport and wasting time and you see them claiming staff trying ti get express clearance for their family or friend wey just come,  then you go pay 100naira for trolley, and wait ages before you baggs come out, and praying it comes out in one piece without being damaged, and as you come out na soso, taxi, recharge card sellers go begin call you.

Guys pls if una wan change money for airport dont change it in 1 go, if ok just change small amount because they are 419 there big time.

i changed money there in janaury in the evening time when i arrived. a  large amount only for me to get  home and counting it well found out av been duped of 50k.

@tim

as conssensus rightly said patience is a virtue. what i you get the car and your enemy crash the car beyond repair or dem bros waylay u collect the car from you nko ? wetin u wan do then.

you know he cant possibly sell a car that isnt on ground yet and besides even if the car dey on ground no be sharp sharp him go see buyer for am which means he tied down with the car and funds trapped into it. as i said i know how you dey feel being away from 9ja and after much posing and talking the car no come dey ground. well all i can say about that is even if your friend think say you dey lie, when you car finally arrive dem go still see am and also while you dey ground german will arrange correct car for you with driver 24/7 if you want without paying a kobo oooo. see flexing.

also note no dey make mouth about police or army or exchaging abusive words with some nlanders on here cos you dont know the type of people dey are some are top shots in the military ooo. eg consensus to take am easy.

issue of court is no need even if una go court he will still win the case as all he said was wait for a while for the car to arrive as any reasonable human being inclusive of the judge will patapata set him a deadline to deliver the car thats the worse case scenerio. and you cant lock him up for anything as he hasnt duped you or swindled you. all he is saying is GIVE ME MORE TIME FOR THE CAR TO LAND. you can even ask your peole to hold onto the car he gives you pending the time he delivers your own car.

As i said earlier i am olicting on his behalf becos i know him personally purely based on the fact that he gave me a car to use for over 3weeks without knowing me from adam. i met him on nairaland exchanged telephone calls a few times. i came to 9ja and he gave me the car just like that original papaers, everything he carry give me and also he has transacted alot of business with other nlanders. consesus bmw, agabas passat, piedpiper murano amongst others. these are cars that are quite expensive but he didnt run away with the money so why would he do that to yours.

even if the car arrives today in lagos port, there is no guarantee that you will get it before xmas due to congestion and xmas deadlines at port and holidays.

SO ABEG TAKE AM EASY AND HUMBLY TAKE THE OFFER HE HAS PROVIDED , YOU NO NEED PROVE TO YOUR FRIENDS SAY YOU GET CAR OR NOT AS LONG AS NO BE SAY U DEY TREK OR ENTER OKADA OR DANFO DEN NO WORRY.

chill out man, i have never met german007 the first day i met him in person was the day he gave me one of his cars to use and he told me to return whever i am through with it.

what does he doe with the car when he refunds your money ? what happens to the car he has already paid for in full ? he wont be able to get his money back also consider the money he paid for the vehicle to be trucked to the ports in us. haba take am easy jare.
Autos / Re: Issue sorted, miix-up occured by axeman85(m): 11:31am On Dec 14, 2010
@poster

german007 has responded to you and has apologised in earnest. you are creating an issue out ofnothing. what if the cars arrives in Lagos now. what makes you think it can even be cleared and out before you arrive bearing in mind the xmas rush and logistics at the port.  what happened is clearly a logistics issue and german007 has offered to provide you with alternative transportation during your stay in 9ja and deliver your car to your folks when it arrives.

you are saying he should take 50k or 100k and return the rest . haba be wise nau, what does he do with the car then when he has fully paid fro it and arranged all necessary payments . are you expecting him to return it or be saddled with a car he doesnt need.

you are sounding like you dont know how things go wrong due to logistics reason. even when you buys things they tell you 3-4days but it most times take longer for it to arrive.

German007 is a very nice and humble guy. i wanted to buy a car from him on pre order basis but due to personal reasons i havent gotten round to buying the car yet BUT most times when i have been to 9ja he has offered to pick me up from the airport and return me back just on a friendly basis and nothing more and on one occassion he gave me a car to use for good whole 2/3weeks while i was in 9ja and didnt want to spend money on taxis .  thats how nice he is and above all transparent in his dealings.

even other dealers oon here pre order cars and it takes longer times to arrive but because they dont start a thread before the car comes to 9ja, thats why you dont know. however it is sad because you don hope on the care with all the flexing and paparazi show off u intended doing with the car BUT however all the same that wont be possible BUT as german007 has offered to get you an alternative car.

He should just make sure that the alternative car is also a sweetcar then all will be well.

There is nothing bad in it as long as both families are not the fanatical religious types. i have a friend who is muslim and the girl is christian and the guys parents dont have issues with it but the girls father does . as i said it depends on the families and i have a friend different religion and they are both married. the guy papa sef na Alfa but him no mind at all. afterall the son can practise whatever religion he want to.
