Pardon my ignorance but i believe i need to inform you about certain things.

The government is responsible for policy making, and i can tell you that the handling of the oil sector was virtually controlled by the government.

It was of recent the government began the deregulation of the oil sector. And for your information, Nigerians notably the SS guys have been refining oil in the creeks and the government keep destroying their establishments. Obasanjo had to almost wipeout a whole village because of this.

See, the government is fully responsible for the success of a nation. They arguably dictate the industries they want to succeed in a country.

I will inform you that even the capitalist USA gives out fundings to big techs for development. This type of funding was what inspires the innovation of the world wide web. recently, US commited over 500 billion dollars to the AI industry. A lot of industries in the US are funded in part by federal funds. This is why Trump is threatening them with rescinding of funds including law firms...

Most of the success you see in China today is as a result of the government. They have 5, 10 15 and 20 years plans for specific sectors, fund them , and make way for the survival of the fittest. A case study is the green energy industry and electric vehicle.

So my guy, the success of your country is dependent on your government. The government creates a goal (policies), fund it, make the environment conducive, and gives room for competition. And if a competitor is amassing too much power or perpetrating some anti-trust or anti-competition actions, the government comes in and curtail them. An example is Jack ma of Alibaba... This is where the US needs to do more.....

A lot of people mostly females have some psychological criteria in choosing their mates. For example he must be 6 Ft, handsome, rich, etc. Hence, when a man without these attributes comes, they technically don't even know the person exists.

The thing is there are no problems with these criteria, only that they are not the fundamental requirements. The pivotal internal attributes which makes a person human should be the fundamental qualities. Things like emotional maturity, kindness, goals, seamless interactions, etc should be prioritized.

Other physical attributes like money should of course be considered but not to the aggressive extent it is these days. If the guy have a job and you see the zeal and passion for a constant improvement, then its a go. Not waiting for the guy to be a Davido all of a sudden.

The same goes for guys looking out for say mama with zero common sense to mould your child....

Sorry, i think we have issues with terminologies here.

Firstly, the op called it dating and not courtship,......

You court to marry....."information like health status are known at the start of courtship while personality differences are observed"......all these things are gathered quickly because the aim of the relationship is to marry. And mind you, courtship is usually between 6 months to 1 year, so no time wasting.

But people date without knowing what they are doing. Some date for sex, while some dates for money. Its dating that gets most people into diseases and unwanted pregnancies.
