The university confirmed in response to Mr. Atiku legal team, that Mr. Bola Tinubu had indeed been associated with their institution. However, a faction of Nigerians raised doubts and, in turn, directed their frustrations towards the university, demanding the release of Tinubu's academic details. This thus baffles me about what we really want. Do we want actual justice or we just want a scapegoat to be made from anyone associated with Tinubu both legally and illegally? How can you expect a university to release the details of a student publicly without the student’s consent or via a compelling court order?

This incident raises questions about the level of discourse prevailing in our society. While we are all concerned about the state of affairs, it's crucial to maintain a level of respect, especially when engaging with esteemed institutions. Casting doubt on an institution's integrity, particularly when they respond to a legitimate query, is a step in the wrong direction.
