So do you think those coming to your house and begging for food are worshipers of this same God?
Please leave the parable of Lazarus and the rich man out of this because Jesus wasn't telling a story there but a PARABLE!

It is a sin to celebrate Christmas or any other Holiday for that matter in the name of God or pretending you do so to the glory of God or in His honor... this because God never commanded it of you to begin with.

Also regarding what Jesus Christ said, "A little leaven leaveneth the whole lump", if you have ever taken a logic course before, it implies something like the following rule...

Truth + False == False.

When you add a lie to even that which is true, the whole becomes a lie. That is what i believe He meant where the lie here refers to the doctrines and traditions of men which are an abomination where the Truth of God is concerned.

So, my celebrating Christmas has absolutely nothing to do with Jesus Christ or the Kingdom of God. I simply celebrate a Holiday that is for me an opportunity to hang with friends and family is all.

God, in His infinite wisdom , saw absolutely no need to demand this pickiness of me, so it would be foolishness on my part to inflict such a restriction on my person where the one whose Faith it is I seek has not commanded it of me.

The freedom I have to celebrate is because He broke the shackles and cages so that I could live this life abundantly, I am not about to put those shackles back on my person pretending I do so in honor of Him, whereas such act is instead Sin against Him.

When I celebrate, I ofcourse don't imply one has to participate in any associated religious rites. To celebrate,I means simply to partake in food and whine and enjoyment of the moment along with those who are pagans, this while never making the mistake of pretending my celebrating is in the name of Jesus Christ or to the glory and honor of God.

Jesus Christ's commandment to us is that we cannot serve two masters. Celebrating a holiday is not akin to serving another master. Or am I not understanding your meaning as far as celebrating is concerned correctly or something?

1- To perform or participate in, as a sacrament or solemn rite; to perform with appropriate rites.

2- To engage in joyful activity in appreciation of an event.

3- To honour by rites, by ceremonies of joy and respect, or by refraining from ordinary business; to observe duly.

The Holiday is not against my belief... no holiday is against my belief this because Jesus Christ did not bar His followers from celebrating any Holiday out there.

Even if it is a sango festival, Halloween, 4th of July, Krishna, etc. No pagan Holiday is against my belief. We are free to celebrate any holiday we want to.
