How did you survive the 3 years without job, feeding, house rents, school fees for kids!!

We've got just a kid and my wife had an average job. Plus she's a very good and understanding woman. We managed her finances together, cut all unnecessary spending. It wasn't much but we coped really well

I work in Tech

So there was a time about 4 years ago I had a friend who does POS. He was actually making a gain of around #400k monthly and was doing very well we were like twins. That's to show how close we were. I was out of job then but thanks to my very good wife I dey manage.

One time I was called my dad was very sick. My wife and I live in another part of the state. So I called my friend to help me send him 3k that morning to go for quick treatment that by afternoon I'll send him the money. My friend didn't even wait 2 minutes before he forwarded his account.. Ontop 3k and my dad was sick. That's not even the worst part, my friend never helped with the 3k for my dad, never went to check up on my dad. My wife had to borrow money from a colleague at work to send to my dad. I wept that day.

Fast-forward to last year October, I got a good job outside the country with a very good pay. I asked my friend to borrow me. money again and he said he doesn't have, God finally used people I don't know to raise my money and someone I don't know actually paid for my flight to London free of charge (British Airways direct flight from naija), people I never met in my life before gave me money at Heathrow. I left naija with less than £100 and I was given a total of about £220 at the airport by unknown people. How that happened is still a mystery till now.

Our of my first salary I sent wifey #500k for thank you, told her to spend it anyhow cos she's a good woman and sacrificed a lot for me to make it.

Fast foward to January, my friend wife call me to send her money! I was shocked. I began to ask questions only for her to tell me that things are so hard for them (till now), 4 shops out of 5 closed down and the last one not in full function. My friend owes several millions in bank ans most of his property sold to cover up but yet ẹ no reach, tó even pay 50k houserent sef is a problem and feeding is so hard now. I sha advise her. My friend heard I travelled and I invested some huge amount in some projects and asked me for help, he told me all his story and all he's passing through as he is already in depression and contemplating suicide. Me I sha advise him.

Two weeks ago she (his wife) called again for my help financially, I told my wife and seeked her opinion, she told me to help her in a little way I can.

As for my so called friend, I didnt help him o! I can't help people like that. I was knowingly giving out money to our other friends and I'm sure they are telling him 😂😂😂

Funny it didn't happen in the southwest, it happened at the language channel station at Garki, Abuja HQ of the NTA. I will blame their directors and Co who have used money to buy cars and properties finish

My Testimony

Mine was through work visa. Got an offer from Naija to work in the UK last year on a 5 years work visa. I'll say it was just a miracle from God as i made almost over 1k applications and got several rejections. Even wifey almost gave up on me applying cos I've been jobless for about 3 years. I finally got a job and I'll say my total money spent with flight, visa IELTS, etc inclusive no reach #1.5m. (how I even got the money sef, na story for another day)

Transferred #500k to my wife outta my first pay to say thanks for supporting me through the years of not having a job.

One thing I'll advise is never to give up if you want something! After 6 months application and prayer is also a key factor, if you think prayer doesn't work then you are dead o! Because there are days my wife and I would go pray and we'll return home drenched in rain. It was during prayers that we were told to change our accommodation that the house is bewitched. We didn't have money and wifey had to go take loan.

The second day we moved into the new house, I applied for another job and that job I applied for in the new home is what got me in the UK and I can tell you that the salary I receive is far more than my counterpart in related field. Whenever I tell them how much I get paid, many would ask if my workplace is recruiting!
