Relationship expert, Joro Olumofin has said that we have a long way to go in women supporting women in Nigeria.

"Men are scum, Men are scum. This has become the mantra of a lot of ladies today. There is no lie that Most extramarital affairs are initiated by men. Yes , we’re allowed to blame men. Most men don’t know any better. Infact a lot weren’t raised to be monogamous in nature. But I’ve never heard the saying “ Men supporting men” or “men empowerment”. Women empowerment has become a movement and a thing of beauty to observe because of the inequalities in the society towards women. But if women were truly supporting other women , why do most women sleep with a married man knowing the damage it does to the wife (woman) . Is this women supporting women? We have a long way to go in women supporting women in Nigeria if a woman can’t say simple NO to give another woman peace of mind and happiness. If women are truly supporting women, there won’t be an Epidemic of Sidechicks."

The Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile Ife has announced the sacking of Professor Richard Akindele for allegedly demanding sex from a student, Monica Osagie, to upgrade her mark.

The Vice-Chancellor announced the sack at a press conference in Ile Ife on Wednesday.

Media personality, Toke Makinwa has taken to her Instagram to remember her friend, Adedunni Doherty who was on-board the ill-fated Lagos-bound Dana Air from Abuja which crashed into a two-storey building at Ishaga, at the outskirts of Lagos, killing all 153 passengers.

Toke gushed about how much of a good friend Dunni was. She wrote;

The aircraft, marked 5N-RAM, disappeared from the radar scope of the Lagos Air Traffic Control after communication from the tower to the pilot in command failed, before it crashed into the residential building on Tolulope Street, in Toyin area of Ishaga.

Nollywood actress and TV Host Nancy Isime has shared her inspiring story, revealing that she suffered depression and had several suicidal thoughts while growing up.

"You know, growing up I suffered Depression. I was so young to understand life, yet I wanted out. I was in a dark place.
I had several suicidal thoughts but somehow I found the strength to live through all of them.
As a younglin, I was shy and really withdrawn. Where there were several people talking I wouldn't dare speak for fear of being asked to shut up. I knew I was funny and smart inside my head, but will just crack the joke/give the opinion in my head.
I envied those with "great personalities".
I was lonely. I had a few friends but I was Lonely. I was sad but really didn't understand why. This continued even till my late teenage years, suicidal thoughts were gone But I was still unhappy. Constantly looking for what/who would accept and maybe make me happy.
One day, I decided I was going to find my voice. I was gonna speak when I wanted to, I was gonna crack a joke when i felt like it and if no one laughs at it I'm gonna laugh anyway cos I'm funny as heck! I was gonna do whatever I wanted to do. I knew I had a great personality and I decided it had to shine! Guess what, the universe worked side by side me on this one. It became a TABOO for me to hang around anyone who makes me feel less of myself. A TABOO! Life handed me a huge scissors and i just chopped away! Cutting off, moulding and protecting myself.
I'm writing all this today because I want to speak to you who's going through depression especially at a young age. The suicide rate amongst the youth is alarming.
I'm sorry you have to go though this phase for whatever reason. Yes that's what it is, a phase! Please hang in there. You have such a bright amazing future ahead and the devil is just trying to mess with your mind. Please fight back. Distance yourself from whatever/whoever brings you to that state. Spend time with yourself and only people who brightens your mood. A bad day isn't a bad life. Listen to uplifting music. Invest your energy in positivity. Unfollow anyone on social media who unknowingly puts any kind of pressure on you, heck even if its me! I'll miss you but you MUST hit that button!
Life is Beautiful! And there's so much to learn and enjoy from it. See you at 90 Boo! Mwah!"

A contract staff of Zenith Bank was reportedly knocked down by a truck, last week, around Apapa, Lagos.

It was gathered that Lawanson Alaseyori Oluwabukola went on cash movement to a branch in Trinity road, Apapa.

The bullion van that took her and the cash there, left afterwards, for her to finalise the process.

However, after concluding the cash movement process, Oluwabukola was knocked down by a truck while returning to her branch in Alaba.

The queen’s very extravagant wedding gift to Meghan Markle and Prince Harry has finally been revealed, despite the Duke and Duchess of Sussex asking their friends and followers to donate to charities instead of sending them a traditional present.

Her Majesty has gifted the Royal couple York Cottage, from her Sandringham Estate.

York Cottage is a Royal stately home where Her Majesty’s beloved Norfolk home, Sandringham House is situated.

The overall property is believed to be 8,000 hectares large (around 19,800 acres) and includes a 240-hectare public park and 24-hectare garden, which is connected to the main house.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s new pad dates all the way back to King Edward VII, who gave it to his son, the future King George V in 1893.

Harry and Meghan currently live in Nottingham Cottage in the grounds of Kensington Palace and will use the new home as a holiday hideaway.

The cottage is currently partly used as holiday accommodation as well as digs for estate staff.

A Lagos-based hairstylist, Tosin has cried out after he was maltreated by the police for looking feminine and gay.

According to him, he was on his way to work when they stopped him and said he looks gay. Tosin wrote on his Instagram;

"THE MAN THAT ARRESTED ME... So this morning by 9am, I was on my way to style someone at Ogudu, I entered a public transport and was stopped by a guy at Ojota who asked me to introduced myself I asked why he said his police, they asked for my ID card I showed them, then he said I look like a girl and that was it they started yelling and calling me names then they took me and put me in their bus, took me all the way from Ojota to IWAYA POLICE POST then I asked what my offence was, they said I look like GAY, INDECENT ACT and I'm too SLIM. I was locked up from 9am - 4pm before they release me. Please since when did been slim become an offence in LAGOS. I was unjustly maltreated today by the POLICE and I demand justice. "
