Yes. However, your BMS needs to be solid because it will typically draw the battery to its low-voltage discharge (LVD) limit. Every time, every day. Dabss: Can those afripower inverters designed for LA/Tubular batteries be used with a lithium ion phosphate battery? |

I am aware. I am planning to buy both the inverter plus the battery. My current inverter and battery setup will be going to someone else. I am replacing both the inverter and battery whichever option I take. HeavenlyBang: Haisic 12v 280ah is about 460k. 24v 280aH is 800k. |

Another fear I have is that the 24V system is too closely coupled. Failure of either the inverter or the Battery may mean I need to do some gymnastics to either connect a new battery or inverter to the stack. Of course, the main attracting factor is the price of the system Ayomipoe: Hi House,
I'm looking for your opinions on Haisic battery systems for backup power, as I'm not going fully off-grid due to landlord restrictions on solar panels. I'm on Band A power, which is mostly reliable, but we can experience outages of 16+ hours during rainy seasons.
My peak load is under 400W (excluding my fridge/freezer and a 150L Thermocool, which are currently off my 12V 105Ah inverter system). My total household consumption is around 700W according to my prepaid meter. I'm aiming for at least 14 hours of backup to get through the night with the 400W load, then I can use my generator to recharge and power the freezers.
I've seen a Haisic system advertised (though I'm relying on European specs due to some deceptive local marketing). The 24V 300Ah system costs ₦1.250m.
My main question is about system voltage:
Stick with a 12V system (e.g., Haisic 12V 280Ah for ~₦650k)? Go for the Haisic 24V 300Ah system at ₦1.250m? Or, is it worth waiting and stretching my budget (around ₦1.3m) for a 48V 5kWh system? I've read that jumping to 48V might be better in the long run. |

This is incorrect, or at best wrongly phrased. odimbannamdi: I know that users can buy an extra battery. I am only saying that the extra battery can only be used as a backup battery to charge up the main Ecoflow system when it is low. You cannot connect the extra battery to the battery of the main Ecoflow system to increase the capacity from say 1280wh to 2560wh. You also cannot use the extra battery in itself as you will still need an inverter at the very minimum. You also cannot upgrade the inverter capacity of the Ecoflow system without having to buy a new Ecoflow system altogether. Those are the ideas around upgradeability of a renewable energy system |

Haisic 1.5kva inverter plus their 12v 280ah battery is about 650k. No idea if the remaining will cover installation. relaxfun: would 600-800k be enough to cover everything? including equipment purchase and cost of installation? |

Wawu! KudozInteriors: The installer lives close to me. He travelled and came back two days ago. He came to my house yesterday and I told him that I bought a shunt to test the battery capacity. I’d already asked the Sako distributor at Alaba if the battery he gave to me was 25.6v; 200ah and he was beating about the bush but later answered me that that was the battery given to me.
The installer called me back few minutes after leaving my house and told me that the distributor called him and told him that one of my friends at Alaba who happens to be a PRO there and works in their task force caused the whole issue. I contacted that my friend when they first sent me one battery called Suhkig and I rejected it. So I called him to help me go and make sure those distributors give my installer a good and renowned product. They said the PRO came and met them ahead of time and discussed with them on how to make money from me. They said he told them that I’m like a brother to him and that anything he tells me in Alaba market, I’ll do it. They said they had to record the conversation as they were scared it might backfire. I sent their balance to this PRO so that once he confirms everything , he will transfer to them. So they gave me a bad battery because according to them, he didn’t give them the complete money. This PRO at Alaba has been like a brother to me for the past 5 years. I bought almost all my appliances through him and he has never sent a bad product to me before. I just call him and he meets the direct importers and tells me the price of any commodity I wanna buy and it’s always cheaper than normal market price. I in return bless him financially and with airtime severally. I even bought my inverter freezer through him last week.
So, they said that if he can return the money he withheld, they will give me my complete 5Kwh battery. I’ve just been in shock since. |

Boss! Sorry about your experience. Truth be told as a seller, all options are open. What if your friend was simply a no come no show? Typically between trusted parties, payment confirms the sale. It is unfortunate that it was a low trust transaction. Demolala09: I have never done this before on this platform buh for this once I will....I saw this advert and I forwarded the contact of this said seller to a friend who has been on my neck to help me search for a washing machine on this platform. The friend reached out to the buyer and both parties agreed on a final price of 90k and to be picked up today been Sunday which I felt is a fair deal.. this friend of mine left the island this afternoon to come down to ikorodu for the payment and pickup just few mins to ikorodu garage he received a text from the seller that the item has been sold. Azin what kind of a gutter behavior is this Why is it so difficult for you people to honour an agreement?? If the price the buyer is willing to pay doesn't sit well with u why don't u just state that instantly and let the person take is mind of it and look elsewhere. The friend was so bittered that he had to reach out to me and was complaining.i had to start begging him not to be offended looking at the resources he had wasted down to ikorodu. To the above seller make una try to Dae control una greed...jm very sure u got sumone who was offering to pay more hence ur silly action.

Yes, they require more TLC than Toyotas. Parts are available. However, at least in Lagos, you cannot easily find parts without going to Itire. Your mechanic must have a bi-directional scanner. Scan first before they start anything. Electrical issues are frequent with VW's, don't be like me and allow Kazeem to bypass. It just leads to headache further down. Please drive safely, VW's speeds can be intoxicating. PAQ: Hi guys, i need advice on owning a Golf 6 GTI in Nigeria, Abuja to be precise. The whole story. Thanks

Do you have a contact for the SRNE 1.5kva? I have an SMS 1KVA 12V. My biggest problem currently is that I want to buy a bigger battery. However, SMS's maximum charging current is 40a. Most 280Ah batteries I have seen have about 50a as the recommended charging current. I am not yet ready to purchase a 24v system (Inverter and battery ) HeavenlyBang: Then add 50k and buy SRNE's 1.5kw inverter.
You don't have a lot of options in the 12v category, since most brands would rather just make 24v hybrids at over 2kw. |

You can cancel your subscription without chatting with customer support. Getting back to residential plan after canceling is the problem. DataMina: Hello everyone, I have a question. Two questions actually.
I’m currently on the Starlink residential plan, and I’d like to know if it’s possible to write to Starlink to temporarily suspend my subscription and have it restored in about two months. This is because I’m planning to relocate from Rivers State to Lagos, and I need some time to sort out my accommodation and settle in.
Also, I’d appreciate it if someone could clarify whether I’ll be able to continue using the residential plan in Lagos. I’ve heard that Lagos might be congested and may not have enough bandwidth availability for new or existing users on the residential plan. |

The advantage you get from them installing it, besides the peace of mind, is that in case of any failure, your warranty claim is made easier. In my opinion, you really have nothing to fear; you have already chosen a reputable brand for your batteries and inverter. Ride on Chief. AdolfHitlerxXx: Thanks a lot. More reassuring. I watched that Fisayo's video on YouTube. That made me buy. Would buy panels from then. Their installation costs too was ridiculous. Maybe 130k or 170k MINUS cost of materials. Can't recall. Bros, no fear. Install all your breakers and SPD, buy your panels from Fouani like you got your Huawei to ensure you are not buying fake panels. If you use fake wires indoors for your wiring, that's the same scenario that causes a fire. AdolfHitlerxXx: They were on their way back for holidays. The house and 2 cars were destroyed.
I infact bought this Huawei Imverter but I'm so scared to even install it ... the inverter will stand on the ground but the panels worry me. |
Properties › Re: When The Landlord Says "No Solar Panels On My Roof". This Is Why (Photo) by Ayomipoe(m): 12:38pm On Mar 09, 2025 |
Why not? If you ask for permission, get competent installers, repair any leaks, I don't see why not. With one 600w panel, about 50% of my energy needs are settled already. Incidents like a solar panel burning on the roof are a rarity, you are more likely to get a direct lightning strike on the panels than a fire. joseph1832: why would you even fix solar panel on a house that isn't yours? |

I had the same issue with my SMS inverter. I think some mosfets are bad, I was able to fix mine under warranty. However, I took it to Alaba myself. burnerr:
I don de tire at this point. Was using my inverter last night when nepa decided to show small love. See me see problem, I decided to go and recharge meter small. 5mins later I'm perceiving something burning and lo and behold the smell is coming from my setup.
Now I can't use the inverter with the battery together. Unit only supplies power if I'm going through PV/AC input to house, but shows error 09 (bus soft start failed) when I try to use battery.
Please who can assist me with this or knows any verified installer in Uyo to help look into this? |
