royalads: I go to soccer24.com, I check out for matches in the major leagues I mentioned before. Leagues like: GERMANY,SPAIN,NORWAY NETHERLANDS. I click on the 'standing'. It brings out the standing of all the teams in that particular league. I go back to the teams that was listed to ply that day,
I write down those with the odds of 1.6 and down, I go to the standing and click over/under 2.5 goal. It brings out all the teams that has scored over 2.5 goals in green color. I check the top 5 to see if any of the teams listed in over 2.5 goals are playing

noriega: with my tweaks on 1hr in Aug. 2013 Had a total trade break down as follows:

Total trades: 42
Winning trades: 32
Losing trades: 10

Am applying some other filters and would email the 1hr tweaks. I have already sent the 30min.

noriega: 30min is best but 1 and 4hrs keeps giving many falls signals. But i have a setting for 30min that has been working for years drop ur email and i would get it over to u.

Lets start with BROODING which is one of the most difficult aspect of poultry.


to me brooding involves taking care of DOC from day 1 to 30 days or day 1 to 60 days. the first thing you should consider before starting brooding is where to get your DOC. this is very important. there are many quack farms in Nigeria.

the following are required for brooding
1. heat which can be generated from stove,charcoal,NEPA,lantern
2. feeders
3. water trough
4. wood shaving
5. newspaper

the dificult part in brooding is generation of heat. DOC need heat (temp above 35C). i had serious challenge providing heat for my birds. I bouhgt one bag of charcoal everyday and 10 litres of kerosine to ensure enogh heat. the truth is even when u tink the heat is high the chick might not feel it cos there body temp is different from ours.................

ab1x: I bet to disagree on that note. Flow through system is far better than any other system. Recirculatory system helps to manage water where water is not sufficient unlike flow through where there is constant water from time to time. It is a total mistake to conclude that a recirculatory system is better than a flow through system. It is less expensive to maintain perhaps it does not cost u a dine and ur fish will perform greatly.

robonski15: As far as I know the demand is more than the supply... Do u have fish for sale??

lagbaja: It is a good method if well designed and managed. They should introduce a uv fitted bio filter tank and sedimentation device into the system It does not need an aerator as it is continuously oxygenated as it flows. Addition of Blagdon anti bacteria and antifungi will improve the performance. The blagdon treatment will continuously recirculate and keep the system healthy.

excelsiorfarm: bros there are many consultant now, no be so, what any design that makes the inflow & outflow of water to be cumbersome, isnt economical, probably the creation or installation of a big gate vable at a certain point to release d water,though a little digging & channelling of a waste water to d desired empty site will be done

If u chech the second pix the pond is partitioned with the use of a framed wood type and iron net..

How can the water be drained without the use of pumping machine

When I got there I was short of words, the pond was built in the form of gutter and it was built all round the farm... I was amazed because I have never seen such type of pond style before..

One of the constrains of the pond type is that they spend money on fuel just to change water and also pumping in water..

Get fingerlings perhaps it takes just two weeks to rear them to Juvenile stage.
It can only rear 1500 fingerlin conveniently Fingerlins 10 • 1500 = 15000 ( u can get it btw 7-10 naira) asumption N10
Coppens 0.5 1bag. 4250
Coppens 1.2 2bags. 6200. ..3200 per 1
Coppens 2mm 4 bags 20,800 ....5200 per 1
Cost of fingerlins and floating feeds amount to 46250
Let us assume u treat them with salt and PG

excelsiorfarm: concerning your question, if I tell u is 3-5% for daily consumption and another says 1 and another says 10 or even 15% of body weight daily, what will determine an individual outcome or result is totally based on experience, quality of fish seed, water mgt, temp, feed storage and other factors as stress, over stocking etc.as zartech will produce broilers in 6wks ,some will struggle to get to market size in 9-10, even 12 wks. let me give u another e.g. the makers of coppens expect that if u use their feeds through out under good mgt after buying from 8 wk old fingerlings/juveniles of 12.7 grams, in 4 months your fishes should reach 1.1kg, 5months at 1.5kg, two days short of 6 months 2kg.more than 90% fail in this regard , WHY? THEIR EXPECTATION IS THAT U RAISE THEM UNDER 25-27 DEGREES, GOOD WATER MGT ETC, FOR MORE DETAILED FACT SEEK TO GET FEED TIMING OF CAT FISH BY COPPENS, Learn and create your own standard

Weather condition affects the amount of feeds they consumed so it is always impossible to determine the amount of feed they will eat.

Even if u get the fish that eats if u dont give them adequate care, they may not eat much.


That is y a farmer must constantly change water from time to time, give them norished feed and always observe ur fish from time to time.



When u change ur water atimes, u can use salt to treat them just in case.

Can you give me the average weight of a catfish from the 1st month of hatching, 2nd (juvenile), 3rd, 4th, 5th, 6th,7th months.
This is to determine d quantity of feeds to give them on daily basis by giving them 10% of body weight (or what do you have to say on the quantity of feeds to avoid over nd under feeding nd also maximise profit. Some even say 3-5% of body weight)

excelsiorfarm: to prevent stress,do good water mgt & dont overstock,dont overfeed, also handle them well when sorting. biovit or livestovit will help & most drugs used against stress for poultry

robonski16: It depends on how fast it gets dirty.. Sometimes once in one or two months.. Algae forms when the pond is not shaded from direct sunlight..
