badmanjo: I began this amazing and stressful journey 6 months ago, without even knowing who would sponsor me. An Uncle of mine then gingered me that Canada was the truth and the way for the youths now and promised to make sure the dream was accomplished... I tried to make use of a well known agency In Lagos but their bill was quite much so I decided the money was best spent elsewhere. I then Began to focus more on Canadian study trends as it dawned on me that I would be processing this application myself. I read Nairaland trends from part 17 and now it's in part 20. I gathered all I could get my hands on just to make sure I submitted this application April 2nd but still I felt it wasn't good enough.... Things like 3rd party sponsorship, me not submitting a personal bank statement and also not having any land Documents in my name became my biggest fear.... But then I met Sam from Nairaland also, who was also going to the same school as me, and he encouraged me to submit..... Cutting the long story short.... The application was approved yesterday and glory be to God.... Thank you also Sam for all you did mehn, you are really a friend turned brother.... Also want to appreciate everyone here including the gurus as every single thing I used for my application was gotten from here.... What God cannot do dosent exist and I ask anyone who hasn't gotten a decision yet to keep the faith and whoever was denied to keep trying..... I'll be sharing my timeline soonest Congratulations!!!! Pls when did ur eligibility start Did u submit updated LOA |

CHIKACIC: Congratulations!
Ideally, your passport validity period should accommodate the length of the visa you are requesting for and beyond. Otherwise, you may not likely get the full length of the visa period requested. This is usually stated on the PPR letter.
As other members have noted, renewal is out of the question now, because your PPR has a 30 days deadline.
Submit and hope for the best.
IN MY HUMBLE OPINION:
After landing in Canada, I think you can renew and apply for visa extension. However, there may be a pitfall here. I read somewhere that when one renews a passport with a valid Canadian visa, you cannot use that visa but rather you will have to apply for a fresh one. Please, I cannot verify this. I hope it is “NOT TRUE”. Just giving you a heads up. Kindly make your research and know what to expect.
Congratulations once again and all the best.
I sincerely hope this helps. Pls, supposing I have my renewed passport already, is it a must I send it to ircc, or I can just use it directly when I get my passport request. |

Winter clothes, thick clothes, long sleeves, clothes for raining season as well. And for summer too She could also get one winter jacket but she would have you get another one when she lands in Canada cause the Nigerian winter jacket would just not do. Carry a lot of Nigerian foods like: crayfish, pepper soup spices, spaghetti, okazi leaves, dry pepper etc but make sure they are properly dry. Carry toiletries. You should also get a universal charger as well. It cheaper in Nigeria. If it’s a female carry plenty wigs, attachments Male: clippers as well Basically hair stuffs. Pack more of sneakers. I think that’s basically all I know. You can check YouTube. A lot of Nigerians in Canada recommended things you should bring and things you should not bring. Hope I was able to help?[/quote]What is universal charger |
