This country is in a mess because of the leadership of the North and the country won't get better when you throw merit through the window just to appease a group of people who do not value education? One reason the North made Noise from the beginning of GEJs tenure was because if things were done right, it won't favour them.........okay let's check the history of leadership........Nnamdi azikiwe had a PHD while tafawa balewa was an ordinary school teacher......when Awolowo who was extremely qualified contested, another school teacher was brought to head the government with someone who was more qualified than he was Dr alex ekwueme.......fast forward to 1994, even if am not a fan of abiola,he was killed because of what he had to offer and we had better candidates too.......1999, alex ekwueme was there with plenty qualifications and he was substituted for obj just to pacify the west.........we are going around in circles.....if after 40 years of rulling and the North cannot be educated, then we are in serious trouble.......I am a firm believer in education and its impact on the society, giving them a cut off mark that low is bvlshit.....

The old age of a building isn't an excuse for leaving it in such condition. There are old buildings in my school too that are highly maintained and restructured as the years go by. It's all about maintenance, as you said.

Try to get me right.....I'm not saying the building is old as a reason for the neglect, oau is a first generation university and still has d most beautiful campus edifice in Nigeria.... But the maintenance culture of our leaders is number one,they re only good at stealing which is not corruption by them!

He made mention of reconstruction in the west like the bridge,personally I ve known akpabio to be jealous of Lagos and of he was talking of the west then aside the bridge built by IBB then,will he say that it was a wrong decision as at then when Lagos was the capital even before civil war?and on the airport,my father travelled thru MM even before the civil war,and already the Queen visited Nigeria tru that same airport before the war....I will expect him to tell us the reconstruction that was carried out in other western states after the war,maybe then he can be reasonable?most infrastructures in Lagos has been there during colonial rules and few not long after colonial rules,and the ingenuity of Lagos residents that cut across all d country's has also brought tremendous improvement due to the favourable environments in the state, or I will want him to tell us the best industries own by Nigeria govt that miraculously transformed the state from the reconstruction?
