Whats the difference btw MTN charges and other networks? Post ur facts here? And how many Nigeria coys have really impressed despite too much expectations? Please don't mention GLO again cos apart from per sec billing; there aint anything new or changes.

I don't think mtn offers any promo that ask u to send a text and N200 would be deducted (Mention any and i would keep quiet) Am a beneficiary of one of their promos and always on the look out for any. They could ask u to recharge on ur phone to participate.

My guy! Agreed, if u were saying in 2003 they don't give delivery reports. But i think now it has changed.

Was in the East sometimes this year and witnessed their generator being stolen by thieves. Ever since then, i had a change of mind and understand better what these GSM coy suffers in the hands of Nigerians. Common! Atleast, they've compensated u with free midnight calls and MMS (Wetin again, dem try abeg).

As far as am concerned, as long as the GSM coy stays in Naija (Epileptic power supply and vandalism); there would still be network probs. There is no perfect network

Just need the Ikeja problem to be resolved and if not, the turn around time!

With the 4k subscription? u mean they can't afford it? What do u think is going to happen if i report to NCC? U guys would be toast!

Also, if not becos i want them to succeed would have sued them since last month with my evidence. But that would only contribute in making them fall. Want a coy that would really make  Proudly Naija I've subscribed since June (one of the first customers).

How do they plan on compensating if i convert to sat? when they can't even identify those affected.

Bros, Av called their helpline several time with no resolution. The no or bad is what av been having for over a month now. No turn-around time, no acceptance of query, no resolution, no apology? They said i should convert to satellite (another expenses). What av u got to say and what is going to happen to my lost subscription? It this not rip off?

I feel where u ar trying to say but Glo didnt start by ripping us off but came in and increase the level of competition by crashing down tarrifs. HITV has ripped me off of several weeks of subscription and i swear av compiled enough evidence to sue them. But becos of trying to listen to some of the proudly naija stuff that is holding me back.

I used to pay 4k monthly for my hitv before it became faulty. Am on the terrestial option!

Still don't get ur point? Maybe urs is a perculiar case? U said in ur earlier post that u only use mtn for the awoof benefit u derive? So how come u ar complainning about their charges? By the way, u can do without them (mtn) if u r not enjoying their services since u claim celtel and glo charges less. As for delivery reports, i think it's a phone thing and need to be activated it. U don't av to hide insults in ur postings

Anyway i've been on celtel since 2001 and mtn 2003. Mtn is the worst network in Nigeria(I'm excluding Mtel).
My reasons are, 1,Mtn don't give delivery reports for sms as of 2003, that's a disgrace of the highest order.They do now.
2,Mtn rings for less than 30 seconds, just a few seconds better than flashing. So even their caller tune is useless since about 20sec of the song is all u hear. Another rip off of the century
3,MTN everywhere you go, that's the biggest joke of all time, once u move out of Lagos people prefer to use Glo. Mtn is just an illusion in some places. I was in Unilorin, two months ago. The area i stayed once it's evening then u can't make calls with Mtn again, it's either u can't connect or u can't hear what the other person is saying. But Celtel was excellent there.
4,Gprs, Mtn gprs is a complete fraud, it's unstable and very slow, and still the most expensive in the WORLD! At 60kobo per kb.
5, 419, Mtn are the biggest crooks of our time, very dubious but ya'll wont notice. They were the first to say per second billings wont be possible, but glo did and others joined.if MTN was the only network in Nigeria, calls would be at 100naira per minute.
6,MTN extracool, did anyone notice they've cancelled the Family and friends on that package without informing anyone. Yes they did, that's why it's possible for u to change family and friends number on extra cool free, but it's not working. Family and friends is strictly for extra connect now and other postpaid packages.This is another dubious act.
7, MTN Nigeria got the most expensive call rates both National and international, do your calculations and u find out.
More to come, I use my MTN for three things free browsing when my celtel is down, free night calls when i gotta talk for long,free mms when i feel like, so I don't pay MTN for anything, I'm going to milk their ass

Most of the reasons u gave are very unrealistic and untrue. Remember, no be only u dey use mtn oo. Try and be truthful and if not be objective. Celtel has the most expensive call rate; mtn started this huge price slash before all other network follow suit. I also got a text discontinuing the use of my family & friends on xtra cool!. Have u ever tried browsing with Glo ;? hmmm dont even go there. Am saying this becos i use mtn gprs to browse even connect it to my laptop.

Maybe, if u learn to stop looking for awoof u would enjoy better service on ur phone.

U mean u guys view all these channels? Av been viewing Hi-No, Hi-Bad, Hi-Bad signal for over 5weeks now. And subscription dey expire ooo and some pple say make we no badmouth them. Okay, no badmouthing I'll give them support because dats why i wont be suing their ass again Av wasted valuable airtime calling their helpline with no improvement (was advise to convert to sattelitte option. Where i wan get that money). Is it really cheaper than dstv? 4k for premiership only? Don't think it's worth it. If they are that good, pple would have discarded their dstv a long time ago.

I do experience the same problem when i get to some certain areas on my way from work. But i think it's a recent development; maybe something dey wrong o. I'll rather stick to it than my glo line (that one dey epileptic like hiccup). MTN still try pass all of them

The problem with naija is that we don't do proper feasibility studies and market research before starting business. HiTV should have considered DSTV as a competitor, then source for fund and human resources to give DSTV a run for their money. Not just hurrying to show just premier league and some scrap stations. I love documentaries, soccer, and talk shows, so i stay with dstv until, naija learns how to do showbizness,

Do u think the monthly sub of 4k is a fair price from HITV for just viewing the premiership alone? Compare this to 9k offered by dstv with many movies and musical channels?

I believe HITV shows basically Nigeria Globacom league abi? (dstv shows our league matches) why una buy hitv no be becos of premiership? so which one be make we support our own? agreed Nigezie and Primetime is our own (kudos to dem) but what of the rest that promote foreign cultures?
