Many a times, I need not be told that a friend is on fast, the mouth usually give them away. I mean outside Ramadan, the prophet's Monday and Thursday fasting. I too usually don't brush in the morning after sahur (saari) until few years ago when I attended a lecture and the lecturer told us it is permissible. so, don't go about with 'sm__lling mouth' in the name of fast. Toothpaste For A Fasting Person Q: Is it permissible to use toothpaste while fasting? Sh. Bin Bāz رحمه الله: “There is no harm as long as one is careful not to swallow it.” ● [فتاوى إسلامية ٢\٢٦٢] |

be it 'Negotiation' or whatever other method will be used, WAR can never be a way out. I saw the documentary of BIAFRA war and it took me days to get over the shocking view of how the eastern nigerian (I beg to use this word) 'suffered' it isn't worth it afterward. we need to rethink before saying 'war' it is a powerful thing to start, nobody knows how and when it will end. so, PLEASE, PLEASE AND PLEASE, speaking as a victim of 2001 bombing in lagos, you don't want WAR, just a day of the bombing, we knew no rest, we ran like hell to no destination, dead people around and...need I say more |
this is actually the joke of the day...laugh it off

just (jokingly) asked my ibo friend what her brideprice is...funny she replied that if it's Ibo to ibo the price is cheaper compared to outsiders. no wonder MTN to MTN is cheaper compare to off-net networks. can you see the connection? |

As per BORN AND BRED #oshodiBoi, i never thought i'll be scammed by my fellow omo echo...but mhen! Its not as it seemed at all. STREET pass street, i've been victim of (minor) scam on few occasion. first experience was my xpressmusic in 2008 that the memory slot had been panel_beated and less than 15 minutes when i discovered it (though, i've moved to the next street) and went back to show the guy, he said i have to add some money before he can swap another for me, though i protested at first but they sure always win. there are other experiences that i've had too. dont be surprise that OP's phone is with another maga who paid handsome money for it |
Ever since i bought my laptop, its only the battery that came with it that lived long. the subsequent ones that i replaced barely last a year. this last one, i ordered from china still to no avail. i don't want to accept that there is no replacement. what you say? |

BRT buses (in Lagos) was a good innovation. No Rush in, No rush
out, No fighting over Change, No stopping at unauthorised Bus-stop,
No paying tax to agbero. but we are now back to old system, BRT
now use Conductor instead of the ticketing system. the current
government need to re-establish it before it becomes history. |

Is the pen mightier than the sword or are we just deceiving ourselves? Imagine if Boko Haram declared a public holiday in your city and the Government wrote a public notice saying “don’t listen to their stupid bluff” who would you obey? Your Government or BH? The pen and the sword which one has succeeded in commanding attention and obedience? Which one commands respect quickly and humbles a man sharply? I’ve read about most of the successful writers in Nigeria and also about the people who actually rule the nation with their political power (sword). I often wonder, if the pen is mightier than the sword why is a general earning more than a professor? If I put a sword around your neck it will invariably affect your pen, but how many pens have succeeded in withstanding swords? Does the government pay attention to writers, bloggers and critics? Or do they call it off as cheap and senseless criticisms? But do they listen to demonstrations and threat of power or force? I bet the answer is YES, then why? # What do you think? Would you rather fight with pen or sword? |
