PoliticsRe: Solving Power And Fuel Problems by azeezengr(m): 7:55pm On Mar 31, 2016
Some good points really, but all power plants run a source of fuel with exception of hydro. Even power barges still require gas supply, there is one by the side of Egbin Power plant brought in by Lagos State government with Enron and later sold to AES before the present owner. Lack of gas supply is hindering its operation. The way out is to do HOLISTIC privatisation that will be so transparent to attract foreign multinationals that can pump in enough money that will be enough to address present power infrastructure requirement. The present problem is that the present private owners are rent collectors who are not interested in spending kobo on the bought assets.
PoliticsRe: Power Generation Crumbles To 0MW For Hours by azeezengr(m): 6:49pm On Mar 31, 2016
Nairaland is no doubt an uncommon source of information and expression both correct and otherwise. I have really benefit from a lot of useful information from different section, amusement from some people submission and amazement at some people's ignorance and arrogance display by some. on the subject matter of 0MW generation, it is practically impossible because all our power plants are not in the same location and do not run by the same means. Then, what could have gone wrong? All the generators in power station are interconnected by Transmission Lines such that sudden drop in a major load or fault from a big power station in the grid may lead to instability and loss of "SYNCHRONISM" in many stations forcing them to operate in "ISLAND" mode. This implies that there may be no export to the grid but nearby 132/33kV stations and some 33/11kV Injection substations as well. This may not be captured by SYSTEM OPERATORS whose coverage is largely on INTERCONNECTED 330kV Transmission lines, thus their record will reflect 0 MW during the period that there is collapse in the interconnected transmission lines. This do happens from time to time and one can verify this information from National Control Centre Osogbo. My explanation is for those who want to learn and not for youths fighting for politicians that drink and wine together across political divides. Thank you
PoliticsRe: Commisioning Of Unit 6 (1320 MW) Egbin Power Station -live On Nta by azeezengr(m): 5:05pm On Feb 21, 2015
I decided to comment on this largely to educate those who are williny on the subject matter. Egbin power plant is located at Egbin/Ijede end of Ikorodu axis. It is among the power plant sold to investors in 2013. Its present owner is SAHARA who is in joint venture with KEPCO. The plant has 6 units of 220MW each since inceptuon in early 80*s, thus installed capacity is 1320 MW. But out of this only unit 1 to 4 have been operating at about 60% of installed capacity and average of 500 ~ 700 MW is what Egbin haa been cpntributing to Grid aince about 2 years ago till now due tp aging. Unit 5 and 6 have been out for yeara but unit 5 was revived about a month ago and during test running it is given about 50-100MW(less than 50%) due to aging. This unit 5 that was rehabilitate is what our President came to commission. Prof Nebo was at Egbin few weeks back for same. I left the rest for people to discern what is happening. Am ready to clarify any question devoid of abuse or fowl lang. Thanks.
FamilyRe: Getting Married To Your Age mate by azeezengr(m): 8:36am On Dec 30, 2013
There is no standard pair of age for marriage for two consenting adults but their is Standard chemistry and ofcourse Mathematics. By chemistry I am referring to Love and Likeness combined together, that is two of you have a feeling of being each other part. As per Mathematics, you need ability to manipulate 'Live' equations your union will throw up to get the RIGHT answer at all time- that is you have to be a man and your wife must believe in you(that is you must be a fast thinker and act more maturely to naturally be a leader-not ruler, for your wife to be).

To the glory of God, my marriage shall be 10 years by June 2014,- my wife is almost 3 Years older(although her stature shows otherwise even after 4 kids), She made me to know from onset but I careless because I LOVE her and I am naturally MORE MATURE than most of my mate(not size-wise)-Ultimately I prayed before meeting her and I am confident till today that God answered my prayer.

So, please pray and If your heart is still with her after praying, go ahead and get married to her. And continue to pray for wisdom and maturity to live your life with her.

RomanceRe: List Things That Are Better Than Sex by azeezengr(m): 7:59am On Dec 30, 2013
Sex is like drug, take it at right time, right place, right person(your legal partner)and dosage...you are good to go. When you miss any of the conditions, is either an abuse or addiction. To the OP question, I feel great whenever I accomplish a task like "Commissioning of a project as an engineer'', tawaf of the holy Kabbah gives a better feeling while the best feeling shall be to be directed by God to enter Paradisebon the day of Judgement.

In short I enjoy circumbulating Kabbah over and over, follow by praying at Rawdah...the feelings I get can never be equate with 'animalistic' feelings of sex which ofcourse, I do enjoy with my lovely partner but being in God presence obeying Him gives a greater satisfaction

Abuse is a constant phenomenum Nigerian workers especially those that worked under Lebanesse and their likes experience on daily basis. First and foremost, I need to remark that our people give this employer chances to exploit and abuse them simply because they have low self esteem as a result of poverty of the mind...coupled with non existence of any right for Nigerian worker. I am bold tosay this because I have worked for Lebanesse company(up till this December-well paid and well respected even negotiated with me upon my resignation) and similar companies in the past, surely they will make attempt to abuse but first they can recognise anybody with self esteem and he or she is usually avoided or use against his fellow Nigerians or sack. Two, if they give you a shit and you give double shits in return, they will not return it again but my people are too fearful yet they continue to suffer. I sincerely pity the lady that lost her pregnancy due to her boss cruelty but let's all learn from her experience and appreciate our worth....of what significance is a 17k job for her to risk her life! Finally, please let's learn a trade and be skillful in the use of our hands, we shall never be afraid of losing a useless 'job' Lebanesse owned companies offer and anybody circumstance still make to be working in such, please stand up for your right and offer them an eye for an eye treatment!

Truly, am highly inspired and may Allah reward the organiser and all contributors including all that comments and view this trend.

I am graduate of Electrical Engineering have being on the practical field for the past 11 years, it is rewarding and has given me a lot of exposure and opportunities which among is the fact that "SELF CONFIDENCE AND INTEREST" are two major ingredients necessary for your career success. I state this first to avoid lousy comments of some nairalanders who does not have patience to read and understand before reacting. Having said this, to the poster of this thread, there are 1001 ways of applying knowledge obtain from studying Mathematics(and any other courses), virtually in all fields of study, APPLICATION OF KNOWLEDGE EARNED is what brings results, solves problems, gives satisfaction and fulfilment of goals.

Finally, my brother if I may state here that if I should have opportunity to choose a course to study again MATHEMATICS SHALL BE FIRST CHOICE BECAUSE OF ITS VARIOUS APPLICATIONS. Research and find area of application you are interested in and you are made.

I sincerely pray that God gives family of deceased MOG the fortitude to bear the loss. Having said that, am greatly disappointed in my fellow country men especially the youths who are supposed to be objective buttt instead still subjected themselves to ethnoreligious manipulations of the political elites. If Boko haram is actually fighting a ttreligious course? What is Ombatse that just come on stream fighting for or OPC that is over a decade? It is either Political or Economy, and each group financier/sponsor...My dear countrymen, let get our political office holders to do their constitutional asdignments and stop using divide and rule. Have we wonder why North and South, Muslum and Christian office holders and polbiticians collaborate when it is time to steal? Our problem is never religion or tribe but Bad Leadership and Poor Followership...

For those who cant read, get airtime on local radio stations and read it out. The north can only be liberated by the notherners. Time will tell.

", That's the response I find most fascinating and if Zainab is online, I want her to take this advice seriously even if it means getting fund for printing via BOKO HARAM!

@chukkudy, if that's what you believe before reading Zainab write-up, you are not better than ALMAJIRIS in thought just before then, why: because ALMAJIRIS believe ALL SOUTHERNERS ARE INFIDELS whether muslim Yoruba, Christian ibo, all na same when it's time to kill "infidels" by them!
