PoliticsRe: What We Did Not Know About Buhari by azeezengr(m): 11:14am On Feb 23, 2011
I have only two questions and if anybody can answer it sincerely, Nigerians should no who to vote for President in 2011

Question 1: Why are the Northern Corrupt Leaders(e.g IBB, ATIKU etc) ARE NOT SUPPORTING and HAS NEVER SUPPORT BUHARI?

Question 2: Why are all KNOWN CORRUPT LEADERS IN NIGERIA ARE WILLING,ABLE  AND READY TO SUPPORT  GEJ?

ANSWER THESE QUESTIONS SINCERELY?
PoliticsRe: Gej's Manifesto by azeezengr(m): 12:50pm On Feb 07, 2011
All I know is that out of all candidates vying for presidency, GEJ is the dullest and weakest, hence is government if he ever win shall be like that of Shagari simply because his highest dream and plan appears to be that of becoming A DEPUTY GOVERNOR of BAYELSA but through OBASANJO manouvering suddenly he became GOVERNOR, VP and eventually President without manifesto
PoliticsRe: I'm A Thorough-bred Egba Man, Says Bakare by azeezengr(m): 11:33am On Feb 04, 2011
We should entertain freedom of expression/opinion, as far as am concern the most credible ticket is BB(Buhari/Bakare), if anybody settles for GEJ/Sambo it simply mean he love what is happening in Nigeria now. All said and done, we cannot get a leader that is better than us. I f we are corrupt, we are going to get corrupt leader and we should blame nobody

We all need re-orientation and we need to dis-abuse our minds. The present situation in Nigeria is aggravated by manipulation of politicians who normally exaggerated our differences for political reasons. The politicians use the division to achieve electoral victory and again use it to misrule us. We need to unite now than ever before if we must end violence and misrule in our land, Christians, Muslims, Atheist, Hausa, Yoruba, Ibo, Itsekiri,Idoma, Short, tall et-al are all from one Adam and created by One Supreme being some called Allah, God, Olohun, Adeda and so many other names. Let's wake up and grow above ethnicity and religious bigotry for us to move this nation forward. GOD BLESS NIGERIA

To me another name for Goodluck is Shagari-meaning "I have no ambition nor vision to be there but I am just lucky and being pushed to be there" while another name for Buhari is Rawlings-meaning "am having passion, plan and vision to be there". The bitter truth is that why Rawlings reach there and accompany his mission Buhari MAY never  reach there and this simply means Nigerians need to endure/suffer more because sincerely GEJ has no vision but he is just good and weak like Shagari LUCKILY/UNLUCKILY surrounded by bad men! The person we are to elect is going to be our typical self, CORRUPT, ETHNOCENTRIC AND VISIONLESS like most Nigerians and guess what religious leaders shall have more followers waiting for "God/Allah Intervention"! We are being told what we like to hear yet they go and do what profits them as individuals or group. The worst case is this stooge call GEJ[ or is it JEG(A)?], he has no idea, no vision and no principle, everything is correct if it can make him to be the president. Nobody should complain because they are just like everyone of us, we are bundles of hypocrites, religion-bigots, ethnocentric and mega-selfish, and we deserve exactly that kind of leadership, the moment will change our ways for better-the leadership entire polity will be better for us all

He is committed and he has done is part even if he 'fails'(I believe he was rigged out before) to win this time again, he must have try his best and he has promise he will leave us to continue with the battle unlike "do or die" OBJ, unlike", makes violence inevitable" Atiku, and "(A)MEND-ED" Jonathan who is being driven around by the expired "elders" like OBJ, CLARK and ANENIH as well as NEXT GARRISON COMMANDER OF OYO STATE POLITICS, my one and only AKALA-who claims No Nigeria without Jonathan. After all said, I wish my highly honored General Mohammad Buhari, prosperous years ahead and a good rest anytime the Lord calls him to Himself

Honestly Buhari is right sentiment apart and any pro-GEJ people should be humble to admit that. For me, it could have been better for Jonathan to look for a strong VP but her wife is taking that position from bedroom just like Turai. Hence, if GEJ/Sambo ticket clicks; then expects something less than Yaradu'a government (because Yaradu'a is more sincere but pulled down by health, over-ambitious wife & weak self/weak VP)

Nairaland GeneralMopol Kills 2 Children With Tear Gas by azeezengr(op): 9:06am On Nov 26, 2009
I got d news below from Nigerian Tribune of Today, its pathetic and I believe by publicing it thru this forum-,  Policeman kills 2 children with teargas

By Adebayo Waheed and Sade Oguntola - 26.11.2009

STAFF and families of patients at the Oni Memorial Children’s Hospital, Ibadan, were, on Wednesday, thrown into mourning and confusion, when an irate mobile policeman, Mr. Raymond Egbongbonwuyi, went berserk, tear-gassing two children to death and putting three others in critical condition.

Nigerian Tribune learnt that the hospital was for almost two hours a scene of confusion, as visitors and patients were tear-gassed by the mobile policeman on being told about the death of his three-year-old daughter, who was on admission at the hospital.

The policeman was said to have wounded three doctors working at the hospital and said he would have killed all the children on admission and the medical personnel at the hospital, if he had carried a gun.

When the Nigerian Tribune visited the hospital, three of the children allegedly tear-gassed were seen outside being put on oxygen. The children, whose names were given as Ekundayo Promise, Lawal Awal and Lawal Mariam, were said to be on drips when the policeman went there and removed the drips and tear-gassed them.

The ward 2 section of the hospital, where the children were tear-gassed, was scattered while the lethal fume of the teargas was still thick in the air when the Nigerian Tribune visited the scene of the incident.

The mobile policeman, attached to the Iyaganku Central Police Station, was said to have brought his three and a half year-old daughter, Destiny Raymond, to the hospital on Tuesday for treatment but unfortunately, the girl died in the night.

According to a source, all efforts to get the father informed about the incident throughout the night were unsuccessful. The irate policeman was said to have lost a child at the University College Hospital (UCH) about two weeks ago.

The baby that died at the Oni Memorial Children’s Hospital was reported to have been suffering from cerebral malaria and was obviously being treated at home before she was taken to the hospital on Tuesday. The doctor, who attended to her, noted that there were burns on the child’s feet, showing signs of the unorthodox practice of putting a convulsing child’s feet in fire to make her regain consciousness. The sore had gone septic further complicating the child’s case.

The source said that when the father, the police officer, was summoned to the hospital on Wednesday morning by the authorities of the hospital on the phone, he turned as if to go away after seeing the corpse, but when he was told to take the corpse for burial or make other arrangements for its evacuation, he turned violent and went from one cot to the other in the ward, removing the drips from five of the children, who were being treated for respiratory disorder, and tear-gassed them.

It was learnt that but for the quick intervention of policemen from Oluyole Police division, the situation would have been worse. One of the medical staff members, who spoke with the Nigerian Tribune and pleaded for anonymity, decried the insecurity at the hospital and called on the state government to protect the lives of the patients and the workers.

When contacted, the hospital’s medical consultant, who declined comments on the incident, said she was not competent to speak on the matter. Parents whose children were in critical conditions lamented the behaviour of the mobile policeman and called on the police authorities to take necessary action against him.

Mrs. Titi Ekundayo; Mrs. Rukayat Lawal and Mr. Adekunle Enoch, whose children were in critical condition, tearfully narrated to Nigerian Tribune that their children were receiving treatment when the policeman stormed the ward and tear-gassed them on their sickbeds.

Some policemen, led by the Divisional Crime Officer (DCO) from the Oluyole Police division, later visited the scene of the incident and assured the workers at the hospital of police protection.

He said that the irate policeman would not return to the hospital. When contacted, the Commissioner of Police, Alhaji Baba Adisa Bolanta, said he had not been briefed on the incident.

While confirming the incident, Special Adviser to Oyo State Governor, Mrs. Comfort Alebiosu, said the case had been attended to by the police at Iyaganku, and that the said mobile police officer had been arrested.

Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Health, Dr. Basiru Bello, said that the ministry was already conducting its own investigation into the incident that happened in the only children hospital in the state.

According to Dr. Bello, it was pathetic that other children on admission in the hospital were affected by the teargas used by the said mobile officer. Chairman, Oyo State Hospitals Management Board, Chief Adebayo Oyewusi, assured patients, their parents and workers in the hospital of their safety.
