Where is he running to? |
Service Chiefs abi Service Thieves |
Brief things you need to know about the new SGF, Ogbonaya Onu. 1. He was born in 1951 in Ebonyi state. 2. He was the first executive governor of Abia state in 1992(remember, Ebonyi was carved out of Abia). 3. He was the chairman of the defunct ANPP. 4. He graduated with a first class honours degree in Chemical Engineering at the University of Lagos. 5. He later obtained his Doctor of Philosophy degree in Chemical Engineering (without passing through a Masters degree) at the reputable University of California, Berkeley, California, USA, in 1980. 6. After coming back from overseas, he taught at the University of Port Harcourt as the pioneer Head of the Department of Chemical Engineering. 7. He was the first Chairman, Conference of Nigerian elected Governors which popularly known now as NGF. 8. Dr. Onu is a resolute believer in Nigeria’s unity as an instrument for national integration and development. As Governor, he abolished the State of Origin Syndrome in Abia State and led the way in appointing non-indigenes of the State into top positions of responsibility in his Administration. 9. A true democrat and committed party loyalist, Dr. Onu demonstrated rare political discipline and consistency, by remaining one of the very few founding leaders of the opposition ANPP who remained in the party since its inception in 1998 until it merged into a new political party in 2013. 10. Onu is a fine statesman, brilliant scholar, outstanding intellectual, accomplished administrator, prolific author and poet, a man of great ideas and inventions as well as a distinguished man of exceptional principle and exemplary character. He is married to Dr. (Mrs) Chinyere Onu, with children. PMB will enjoy working with this man. I wish him best of luck in this herculean task. SGF is the midfielder(engine room) of the presidency. |
A leader of the All Progressives Congress in the North-West, has said that the zone’s candidate in the race for the Speaker, House of Representatives, Abdulmumin Jibrin, will step down for the South-West candidate, Femi Gbajabiamila. The chieftain, who is also a ranking senator-elect, told our correspondent in Abuja on Sunday that the party leaders, in a bid to ensure that the South-West produce the speaker, had agreed to convince Jibrin to run as deputy to Gbajabiamila. Our correspondent observed that the figure of both zones in the House of Representatives is almost half of the entire population of the lawmakers in the lower chamber. The senator, who preferred anonymity, said that both Gbajabiamila and Jibrin would address a joint news conference at the Oyo/Osun hall at the Transcorp Hotel in Abuja on Monday (today) by 11.00am.He said, “With this development, the APC has effectively resolved the issue of speaker and deputy speaker respectively in the House of Representatives. It is now left for it to resolve the Senate issue.“The calculation is that if the North-East emerges as Senate President, and the South-West gets the Speaker, no aspirant from the North-East can emerge Deputy Speaker. It will automatically go to the North-West.”When contacted, Jibrin said, “I am ready to abide by the decision of the party in the interest of Nigeria.”Meanwhile, cracks seemed to have emerged within the North-East caucus of the party with some of them throwing their weights behind Senator AhmadLawan, while others are pitching their tents with either SenatorsDanjuma Goje and Ali Ndume.Eleven out of the 13 APC senators elect for the8th Senate from the North East geo-political zone had 11 days ago, precisely May 1, 2015, vehemently kicked against the endorsement their counterparts from the North West zone. The eleven senators led by Goje ( Gombe Central) submitted at the media briefing wherethey disowned Lawan, that though as Senators from the North East, they wanted the APC national leadership to zone the post to the zone, they were completely against the endorsement of Ahmad Lawan by the 20 APC senators-elect from the North-West.Surprisingly on Friday, one of the arrow heads of the anti-Lawan endorsement, Senator BukarAbba Ibrahim, issued a statement on behalf ofthe Yobe lawmakers in the National Assembly, endorsing Lawan’s ambition. |
I stopped watching AIT during electioneering campaign immediately they abandoned the ethics of journalism. Freedom of information doesn't not allow anybody or media houses to malign the image of anybody either influential or not. There is always a limitation to every laws. |
The All Progressives Congress on Monday rejected the impeachment of Ondo State Deputy Governor, Ali Olanusi, saying the process leading to his removal violated provisions of the impeachment clause in the 1999 Constitution. Read More:http:///ydqIoz |

Is Fayose a governor-elect? That is why many people fail English test. Simple instruction, they will not follow. OMG! |

;DVery bad. In PEJ's voice, he suppose to commit suicide instead. |

Symphony007: FIRST FAMILY OF RUSSIA.Good one from the Putins. The most feared man in the world. |
yorke1: what about shoot-at-sight order for corrupt politicians? They are not corrupt politicians, but just ordinary thiefs. In GEJ's voice. |
Jonathan is a joke. He is so predictable. He has only achieved high rate of unemployment and corruption. So, Fani Kayode will be given an appointment now. GEJ must go. |
Nonsense! How will a security chief abandons his oath of maintaining neutrality btw d govt & d oppositions and ultimately turns to GEJ's intercesor? But I tink some bees here are whirling that these G7 governors dont have weight to dislodge GEJ out of Aso rock after 2015 elections. Now, GEJ is systematically begging but the die is cast, there is no going back. No campaign after election. The scenario will start from the house of representatives, APC will become majority while PDP will relegate to minority, hence, speaker Tambuwal will decamp to APC meaning that PDP is dead. Blame GEJ's political incompetency & Tukur's arrogancy for this. As the film unfolds, we will witness massive influx of some governors and their teeming supporters to the APC. |
I belief GEJ is a mistake to this country. Apart from being clueless, he also lack the will to utter a convincing and promising statements. Check the following comments from supposedly African leader; 1. FG cant perform magic. 2. Our govt is slow to avoid mistake. 3. Terrorism is in everywhere, maybe it is our turn. Imagine our dear presido uttering those statements not minding what other world leaders will think of him. |
Hmm, why is d man doing Bleep up na? I think they have gained freedom after so many years in bondage/slavery. I rest my case... |
So absurd! How will national legislatures abandon their legitimate duties and embark on frivolours and superstitious activities? All these problems are man made disaster which can be corrected or stopped if they are sincere and up to their tasks. Aviation minister should be summoned without prejudice and a thorough investigation should be conduct on the conpetency of the minister. Secondly, a strict bye laws should be enacted which will provide a death penalty for any person found guilty of terrorism charges. |
Expensive72: until gowon comes out openly& apologize to the igbos for leading an unjust war against them, the sword will never depart from his people. The errors of ur forefathers wud continue to be in vain. Gowon did noting wrong with ur coward warlords, so they didnt deserve apology from any falling bastards. As the commander in chief or armed forces, he wud never allow any part of his country to secede. If u were d head of state u wud do d same. Even Obama, Cameron, Merkel or Horllande will also use extra judicial force against any secessionists. Try it next time & d president will & must use extra force to keep his country together. |
Billyonaire: SOVEREIGN NATIONAL CONFERENCE - STATE POLICE AS A PANACEA FOR COMMUNAL INSECURITY.Nigeria is not ripe for state police. State governors wont be able to pay their salaries effectively and they will be using them to witch-hunt their political opponents. I think GEJ needs to be up to the task and accurately dealt with any group that is hell bent on threatening the peace of this country regardless of their ethnicities, political parties and religious affiliation. |
I guess they were Ibo from the east because that is their business in Anambra. |
So, South korea dont have any first lady to receive the Shepopotamous of Africa? I wish they allow her to speak in Ijaw language because long distance journey might has affected her English language. Goodluck to you madam as you do Nigeria proud! |
Why are you typing nonsense na? If it were GEJ, you will be praising him. It is a good development as far as the big sallah is concern. It will allow people to enjoy the sallah to their taste. By the way, it is optional, if you dont want to exhaust your salary, you can leave it in bank till next month. It is a good idea that worth emulating. |
Tinubu has every right to say his opinion. Everyone can not be clueless like uncle Joe who allows his fat wife to be dictating for him. We cant continue like dis. Things arent moving. Accidents in road, air, rail & even water transports. ASUU, Asup, nasu, ssanu strikes. insecurity everywhere. Corruption in every sectors. Unemployment keeps soaring up. Perenial erosions. Oil bunkering. Fuel increase. Lack of physical and capital development. If GEJ cant fix all this problems, out of the remaining 150million people, we will find an able one in 2015. |
1stly, The timing of this is totaly wrong. 2ndly, many committees hav been set up by GEJ witout considering or taking action on their reports. Lastly, if u like hate dis, GEJ wil loose 2015 elections outrightly and there wunt b war in Nigeria. Any regions, tribes or groups that may want to cause post election violences will be severely dealt with. Go and ask them @ Odi or Zaki Biam or even @ Ekiti, they will tell u dat Nigeria is greater than SS & SE slaves. |
This news is nt accurate. There ar 3 lions @ zoological garden of unilorin. There wer 2 lions inside d residential manzion of Arisekola Alao in Ibadan. Though d 2 had been died of unknown circumstance & fidau prayer had been held 4 dem separately. Also, dia s anoda one @ Gabriel igbinedion aoz in maitama Abuja, though it s made up of golden artifact. I saw anoda one inside Jagaban aoz in Ikoyi, Lagos, dat one s also made up of a golden artifact. Pls add dis plus oda on d sch badges & emblems of som political parties & mayb organisation, u wil discova dat we hav mor dan 500 lion in Nigeria. B4 u com out wit ur report, endeavour 2 do thorough statistics. |
To say d fact, dis bridge is nt worth celebrating. This is project ought to be executed by local govt chairman & nt state governor. If we continue lyk dis, Nigeria wil neva developed in d nxt 500yrs. |
If dey no send dem to Liberia & if dey like mongolia, wia u want make dem oga @ d top make bloody money? Idiot.. bloody civilian. Abi na only politicians sabi chop oil money ni? |
GEJ is just compounding to his woes by taking unnecessary and immatured actions against these strong men who have the father of nigeria politics(Obj) behind them. The attention of GEJ has been diverted from his so called transformation agenda after he allowed himself to be dragged into this political brouhaha. If GEJ continues like this, by 2015 after the general elections, he should have learnt his lesson. Since GEJ has the constitutional right to seek for second term, other governors have equal rights, so why should the presidency be witch hunting them? He needs to leave them aside and continue with his works, when 2015 comes, the masses will decide. |
Dat is wot u expect wen u hav a clueles president. A president dat cant even control his own political party can neva control & govern d country efectively. Witout prejudice, GEJ has lost d 2015 elections in principle. Remember, in 2011 elections, he won in Lagos & d entire south west except Osun state. He won in Rivers & d entire SS & SE. He won in Kwara & oda North central states except Niger & Nasarawa states. He also won in Adamawa & Taraba states in d far north. However, he had a reasonably high votes in Kaduna, Kebbi, Jigawa, Katsina, Kano, Sokoto due to d effort & strong influence of their state governors. Verdict: D entire SW belongs to a very powerful oposition party nw, d most populated state in d entire SS & SE regions, Rivers is also in oposition camp & d aforementioned northern states also belong to oposition. Edo state is also important going by d history, dey always folow d SW. If d two opositions ( APC & breakaway faction of PDP ) can present very strong candidates, dey wil gif GEJ a real contest & jokingly, money go flow yafun yafun. |
