Fiestafetta: Good morning my people of nairaland, I just stumbled on this topic now so I was amazed to see comments of about recruitment that supposedly ended since last year. Please are you people talking about new recruitment in the NCS or the same one they started since April last year? If is the same of last year that means that their is trouble and system has irredeemably failed, an agency that was short of manpower, sought for approval and funds to carry out functions to filled vacant post for the efficiency and effectiveness of the organization, is still one lingering and delaying the processes. It is obvious that this people are not futuristic, the same organization that suppose to be preparing for another recruitment as a result of retirement, promotion, absconding, termination (I.e. terminal/relocation eg) and most importantly the expansion of units or department nationally as the case may be. I honestly believed that these people have finished all the advertised. My opinion please... We are still waiting for them |

** I dedicate this FTC to our FG for keeping our borders open despite heartfelt pleadings from Nigerians to close them and also for refusing to institute any automatic quarantine of people from hot zones. Otherwise we won’t have any corona by now, something that all better countries have. Thanks to them now we can proudly close our schools and churches and sports like US and UK are doing! All thanks to our wonderful FG! GOD BLESS NIGERIA! Thank you for your dedication. Me , na our electoral law is want to be review and capital punishment for corrupt public office holder |

festacman: Summary: Overambitious APC politicians should stop attempting to do 2023 business in 2020 as it is even less than a year since Pres. Buhari was inaugurated for 2nd term. Rather, every APC members should rally round to help Pres. Buhari tackle the many pressing national issues, which have increased with anticipated social and economic effects of COVID-19 pandemic. If Pres. Buhari is not helped to deliver on APC promises, it will be difficult for anybody to even win presidential election on APC platform in 2023. #FACTS

Karac: We have been running a deficit budget for the past how many years now. wetin cause am? Because if things were done strictly according to ur explaination of waiting for revenue before making expenditure there shouldn't be a deficit. Thank you. This fiscal year is still on deficit bro. The budget is mostly finance with debts....like 2 trillion naira to service this year debt, Amidst this, 50 dollar was benchmark to meet up with all these. And suddenly it drop to 31 dollar. What i am saying is that the shock from drops in oil price could trigger a lot of things. After all, I am anticipating the same way you are. And I don't pray for any more delay before we hear from our friend. And most importantly ,may God make us among the successful one. Cheers. |

officialchikzy0: oga they've approved the custom's bill for 2020, I don't think that would be an hindrance do you know how budget works? Revenue comes first before expenditure. A budget is a financial plan for a defined period, often one year. It may also include planned sales volumes and revenues, resource quantities, to costs and expenses, assets, liabilities and cash flows. So if the revenue drop, budget will be automatically affected |

ugo4u: False information? I guess you're not a Nigerian or you're totally aloof with the ongoings within the country. Let me educate you a lil bit, Before Obasanjo left in 2007 he had already worked out modalities to sell NNPC to private investors (Dangote ) just like the privatisation of the Telecoms and power sector cos it was not profitable. Yar'Adua cancelled the privatisation drive, fast forward to this time calls have being ride for the FG to sell off NNPC last week NNPC released a report that they lost over $750m which reasonable business will continue condoning this huge losses? During the presidential debate most of the candidates esp Atiku and the celebral Muoghalu said privatisation is the best way to go, Atiku even swore that he would sell it even at the cost of his life because it was a huge hemorrhage to the economy. Infact personally I'll prefer to go the NCS route or any other govt organisation than NNPC because the future is bleak not only for NNPC but the petroleum sector worldwide just one policy change by a new govt and people will lose their jobs. Even ARAMCO(Saudi's petroleum corporation) that is extremely profitable infact they're the most valuable company in the world with a valuation of over $1trillion is up for sale to private investors because the Saudis are looking far ahead cos the world is gradually moving away from fossil fuel with the coming of alternative clean energy talkmore of an NNPC that hasn't made one naira for Nigeria for years, infact the 4 refineries we have can't produce upto 600,000 barrels at a go. On the other hand the NCS is one of the oldest organisation of gov't and it's amongst the few that is profitable despite the highhandedness in the past, go and open NCS books they've being making billions upon billions infact they're targeting N1trn this year, that's why Ali is insisting they keep a percentage of what they generate so as to cater for their operations/logistics seamlessly and also increase the salaries of his personnel to avoid temptation in the job. No nation on earth jokes with its customs because it's a cash cow in addition to border protection. I can go on and on, young man probably read a little bit before reaching conclusions that one's statement is false. NNPC will surely go the way of NITEL esp with the coming of Dangote refinery, I don't have anything against those that got the job am making a statement of fact. That your guy will not like to read this.... https://twitter.com/BudgITng/status/1232555555404886016?s=19 |
