Igbos boast about having no leaders as if it's a thing of pride. Their society don't value leaders........except the hateful ones like Kanu.
How can you give leadership to someone from a society that doesn't value it?? |

Penguin2: You just counted mono-economy ( crude oil) as part of Nigeria’s regressing indices.
But didn’t your Buhari promise to diversify the economy? Or 6 years and counting is not enough to diversify the economy?
Is that the excuse you are going to give next? Are you a kid to think diversifying an economy is a 6yr project? Are you aware of the Billions of dollars required to diversify an economy?? Where do you expect the money to come from in a recession?? If it was so easy, why hasn't any administration carried it out in 4 decades?? You guys have very unrealistic and unreasonable expectations as if you don't reason the grey areas in every situation, just 1-dimemsional way of thinking. Another example is that news you guys peddle of Buhari saying " I will make N1 equal to 1$" (Frankly, i don't believe the statement, or it was an exaggerated joke)....and you guys truly act like you believe and are waiting for it to come to pass. It reeks of crass ignorance expecting that to come to pass, in a mono-product economy with a population that produce nothing and rely on importation. Don't dumb down your mental capacity to think because of hatred for Buhari. |

SIRAO: My brother you said it all, we have numerous illiterates on nairaland that have failed to understand why the economy is not doing well as they expected. in all the present government have done far better than Pdp considering the level of infrastructure in Nigeria which will outlive food. The aspect I'll score this administration low is Security. I get mad at their response but imagine a situation where it's PDP in power and how they would have responded. With their looting of the arms deal funds meant to tackle Boko Haram, i doubt if they would have been able to handle it at all. They wouldn't have bought the Tucano planes, Drones, APCs, Mi-35 and Mi-36 Helicopters, 40 Barrel launch trucks the APC administration bought. PDP would have bought 2nd hand weapons and equipments like they normally do and looted the rest. |

Penguin2: I read the report from start to finish before commenting.
And from the report, South Africa is first in Africa with over $600billion. While Egypt has HNWI of 282biilion dollars and Nigeria third with 207billion.
So the question I’m posing to you is why did other cities maintain growth while Lagos declined by over 30 percent?
Stop talking about research and work with what is already provided here. That’s if you have any cognitive abilities. ......Now take that growth figure+ size of economy and compare it to pre-covid economy.....instead of stunting your ability to reason to justify the high your brain recieves when you blame Buhari. O.k. then consider certain factors like S.A being a private sector driven economy....... and compare it to the Nigerian mono-product economy (Crude-oil to refresh your brain) and the sudden fall in crude oil price. Or i can choose to be simple brained like you and just scream "Buhari"!!!!! |

atorioke: More proof that Nigeria is a poor and wretched country. Over 200m people only worth $200b+ and just 9k millionaires in dollars. Just imagine Elon Musk richer than 200m people. No wonder they see Africans as useless people.
What this report means is that there is just 1 person who is worth N500m among 21,978 individuals in Nigeria. Also, in a country of 200m people, we have less than 4 people who are worth N500b. What proof do you need to conclude that Nigerians are not creative nor growth oriented. No wonder the only businesses we have in Nigeria is real estate, hotel and eatery. No brains. Later, they will fight South Africans and other African countries claiming giant. Worthless populated country. Are you aware you, your father and mother are in the demograph you're insulting. |
Business › Re: Nigeria Home To 9,100 Dollar-Millionaires, Worth $207 Billion by ba7man(m): 12:48pm On Nov 15, 2021 |
Penguin2: Unfortunately, all of them put together is not up to Elon Musk .
So at the ratio of 1- 9,100, it cannot
Meanwhile, the report says Lagos lost about 100 multi-millionaires and about 1,800 millionaires between 2017 and 2020.
That’s clearly the effect of bad governance. Buharinomics in action.
But unfortunately, the landlord of Lagos, the Baba Sope in Chief of Nigeria, has been the greatest supporter of this disaster of a government; just like majority of Nairaland resident zombies are all Lagos urchins.
Fools! Global recession due to low oil prices and Covid-19 is responsible. Learn to read and research , not rely on beer parlour gossip. |

Anambra people will definitely not stand for that.
I am as much a stake holder in Soludo's governance as Obiano's son.
Peter Obi helped Obiano into governorship, but you can never describe Peter Obi as Obiano's godfather. When Peter left APGA, Obiano did not sheepishly follow him. Anambra governors are their own men. Lagos is greater than Anambra. You don't copy people less than you.... |
