For example a LG can decide to have a cassava village different cassava farmers clusters are supported and where the cassava value chain is adequately captured; the LG can sign public, or with local private co or international agreements to supply cassava products. We have petrol like water but how much do farmers get fertilizers ,one of the products of petrol?

Now that the dollar is high compared to naira is the best time to export . just imagine if a farmer can have $500 profit for 10months in a year for exporting his agric products let us say to Chinese markets . About 200k monthly .

The reason for taxation is to provide amenities to the taxpayers. Fashola and all Lagos State governors can still do better than they did without borrowing.
Borrowing money to do projects is not development. Those borrowed money would be paid with interest. And any Lagos governor that focuses on repaying those funds would be seen as a governor that is not doing any project. So which governor would sacrifice to pay those debts. It can only keep on increasing. That is complete failure in governance.

APC thwarted Rocha's experiment at political robbery especially when our Chairman Oshiomole had prevailed on Uzodinma to hand over the state's party structure to Okorocha at the Abuja convention earlier before the elections with the unwritten and gentleman agreement that Hope would be restored to IMO in 2019 only for Rocha's to renege. But apart from that selfish leap into national political suicide, Rochas Okorocha did well and no leader before him in IMO has matched his achievement despite una propaganda because he joined Hausa party ' APC' while those whose only development is ,' sharing of kerosene during election time' are spared.

Infrastructural development gulp a lot all over the world especially when do not have readily available,trained and competent manpower . If you don't have the money or adequate resources,it is advisable to go after loans to finance the projects that would in turn enhance revenue generation and human development. Don't worry about the future of Lagos, the seeds of development planted are yielding fruits hence the drove of persons coming to Lagos daily to have a taste of these fruits.

I am not biased here. We campaigned and voted in Rochas and chased Ohakim away because he was blackmailed to have beaten a Catholic priest. This was later confirmed to be false but by then Rochas has already become governor.

We thought Rochas was a good man but he was quick to show his true colors. All you know about Rochas must be a propaganda. He tried in his first tenure but unfortunately none of his road works still stand today as all were damaged before he left. What type of projects are that.

He stopped paying pensioners while paying all state workers 70 percent of their normal salaries. Which governor in Nigeria has ever done that.

He said he gave free education yet most parents even those that are poor withdrew their children from state primary and secondary schools to private schools because of poor education standards.

I don't like discussing about Rochas because I have not seen someone that is evil like that. But you can still believe whatever you want to about him.

At least I knew how Lagos was that time. I went to Lagos last during the second tenure of Fashola. I saw no difference. I thought I would miss road because of all the overhyping about Fashola. The only thing I liked and noticed in the new Lagos then was the reduction or disappearance of those agbero boys.

Anambra government does not have such money but what Ngige and Peter Obi did with the little Anambra funds were commendable. If Akpabio, Fashola and Amechi used their states resources as Peter Obi did, Lagos, Akwa Ibom and Rivers would have been like Dubai.

You can't compare someone that receives 1 million naira as salary to someone that receives 100k.
