AgricultureRe: How Many Tonnes Of Plantain Can You farm On A 20 Acres Land by Babacele: 1:47pm On Dec 09, 2025
10,000 per acres? Or hectares. You know say 2 1/2 acres na Im be 1 hectare= 1 standard football field= 10plots.
morok22:
It won't at all.

1. Just plant the pineapples with the spacing of 45cm apart in a line and 60cm apart btw the rows. This will give u like 15,000 suckers in an acre.

2. Make sure u plant plantain at least 3 meters apart for proper spacing so that it will not shade the pineapple.

3. After 14 - 15 months you will induce the pineapple for uniform flowering. When it is exactly 18months u will harvest the first round of pineapples. Subsequently, harvest will be every year like plantain.
But it's game of number. At least, u will sell minimum of 10,000 pineapples per acre.

4. 10,000 pieces of pineapples multiply by at least #800 or #1000 farm gate price =8Million or 10Million per acre.
Finally, money realize from plantain will be used as your clearing or running cost.

I wish u the best.

I am a thousand percent opposed to this idea. Nigerians have proven. Time and again to be very poor handlers of power. I prefer at this stage we keep dealing with One Emperor (anyone who is the president) as against 35.

We've not grown to such extent we can moderate our use of constitutional powers on the people. Until such a time comes, count me out of this.

ICCIMA Signs MoU With Lower Niger River Basin Ilorin For Modern Agriculture, Community Development

Secures 60 Hectares of Land in Ojoku

The Ibolo Chamber of Commerce, Industry, Mines, and Agriculture (ICCIMA) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the Lower Niger River Basin, Ilorin, on the lease of agricultural land in Ojoku, Oyun Local Government Area of Kwara State for modern agriculture and community development.

The ICCIMA representatives, Mr. Abdulrauf Olabode, Mr. Wole Alawode and Engr. Rafiu Brown was received in Ilorin by the Executive Director of Agric Services, Hon. Abdullahi Sodiq on Friday, 7 November 2025.

In his address, the President of ICCIMA, Reverend Paul Olagunju represented by Mr. Abdulrauf Olabode described the signing of the MoU as a landmark achievement for the chamber. He noted that the Chamber embarked on a mission of accessing farmland for the use of ICCIMA members in Ibolo communities and expressed gratitude to the authority of the Lower Niger River Basin for making the Chamber's efforts a reality.

According to him, “ I sincerely appreciate the Lower Niger River Basin for partnering with ICCIMA on the journey by releasing farmland on lease to ICCIMA to ensure a farmer-centered agricultural development program and to provide a needed enabling environment and encouragement for farmers."

While soliciting more 100 hectares of land for the members, he stressed the Chamber's mission, which includes creating opportunities for growth, investment, and prosperity within Ibolo-speaking communities of Kwara State.

“Our partnership aligns perfectly with our shared vision of transforming Ibolo land into a hub of modern agribusiness, job creation and economic advancement. This project will not only boost production but will also reduce poverty and empower youths and women with meaningful employment opportunities," he said.

Earlier in his welcome address, the MD, Engr. Olumoroti Judge Olushola represented by the Executive Director of Agric Services, Hon. Abdullahi Sodiq lauded ICCIMA's initiative of signing the memorandum with the Lower Niger River Basin for agriculture and community development. He commended the leadership of the Ibolo Chamber of Commerce, Industry, Mines, and Agriculture for striving continuously to enhance growth and sustainable development in Ibolo land.

“When we see partners who strive hard to continuously be in business, most especially in agriculture, we are always delighted. We commend you for coming on board to sign this Memorandum of Understanding, and we equally appreciate you for doing what you know how to do best. This is just the beginning of good things to come between us,” he stated.

Other staff members of the Lower Niger River Basin present were Director of Legal, Barr. Bello Sadiq, Director of Agric Services, Alhaji Moronfoye M.O, Deputy Directors of Agric Services, Mallam Yahyah Muhammed, Mr. Idris Toyin Bolaji and Mr. Lawal Ibrahim.

Stop talking about things you cannot defend. Wole Soyinka is a literary universe that the Nobel collegiate couldn't but give august award to based on his immense contribution to literary appreciation. The eminent experts all over the world who sat to award that prize use literary credentials and not sentiments or local street talks as their guides.

Soyinka did write plays, poems and even at least one novel and one work of non fiction.

I still prefer Achebe, but let's not pretend Soyinka won because activism.

Stop giving yourself undue credits.
it is Buhari's fault bro. After the blood rain on which he bathed to become governor in 2015, one would have thought that a comprehensive measure is put in place to prevent a repeat or similar tragedy in politics but the presidency rather connived with this rogue who has now become a cancer and may become Buhari's waterloo eventually. Unchecked, now isn't he spreading?

That is a more dangerous cancer than any external threat- be it boko haram or whatever. The British policymakers should explain to our government how such public officers aid terrorism.

Very possible if the party is united. Makinde is an audio Governor with little or no achievements. He’s even overreaching himself by meddling in the political affairs of other state. If APC can put their house in other, Makinde will be easily defeated.
Adelabu shouldn't shout but work ,party or no party issue. He should continue endearing himself to the people and stop being confrontational now while not shying away from pointing out the shortcomings of the present administration. Truth be told, Makinde never confronted Ajimobi of blessed memory until late , towards elections when it was obvious the people were tired of Ajimobi. Adelabu is a formidable candidate no doubt .
PoliticsRe: Edo Election Was A Contest Between The North And The South - Vanguard Newspaper by Babacele: 9:38pm On Sep 23, 2020
LadyExcellency:
Tinubu and his camp are plotting the downfall of any potential challenger while his antagonists are grouping to take him down.

Ask Orji Kalu what Tinubu did to him to get him off APC presidential primaries that is coming in 2022?

Tinubu knew that Orji Uzor Kalu, a bosom friend, was among top choices from the South East quest for presidency. Kalu jumped from PDP to PPA, back to PDP and moved to APC. He contested and won the Senator-ship of Abia North. He wangled his way until he became Senate Chief Whip, after efforts to become Deputy Senate President failed. Orji Uzor Kalu was basking in his new found position as Chief Whip, when he was whipped into Kuje Prison to spend 12 years due to graft.

Kalu knew where his problem came from. Speaking to AljazirahNigeria at the Kuje Prison before the Supreme Court, squashed his conviction, he specifically mentioned the leader of the APC, Ahmed Bola Tinubu as using the EFCC to fight him because he is afraid that he will contest against him for the presidency in 2023.

Another 2023 Presidential hopeful and former Governor Rochas Okorocha of Imo State had a taste of what I believe as Tinubu treatment when INEC refused to give him certificate of return following his victory as Senator-elect representing Imo West. Okorocha, a most valuable favourite for Igbo Presidency 2023 was interested in becoming the Senate Majority Leader, in preparation for his Presidency bid. It took the court order of June 6th for Okorocha to be returned as a Senator and was issued the certificate on June 12th after the elections of all officers of the National Assembly. Since he managed to enter the legislative chamber, the vociferous ex-governor had cooled down. Okorocha had told people that he knew Tinubu and Oshiomhole wanted him out of the way.

Another Presidential hopeful from the South-South zone and former Governor of Akwa Ibom, Godswill Akpabio, joined the ruling APC on the ground that he will become the Senate President, and help deliver Akwa Ibom to Buhari. This runs contrary to Tinubu’s plan and Akpabio had to be checkmated. Akpabio is also a favoured alternative to Tinubu as far as the cabals are concerned. Unfortunately, the INEC Resident Commissioner, Charles Igini, an Urhobo man, was allegedly detailed through his kinsman Senator Omo Agege to ensure that Akpabio does not near the Senate chambers.

Akpabio had to lose Akwa Ibom South Senatorial Zone. Yekini Nabena, Deputy National Publicity Secretary of the All Progressives Congress (APC), urged the Independent INEC to remove Mr. Mike Igini. All attempt by Akpabio to get Igini removed failed because Oshiomhole and Bola Tinubu did not buy the idea. Akpabio had told close friends that his political travails were induced by Tinubu and Oshiomhole.

Another Presidential hopeful whom Tinubu had put in the cooler is the Kaduna State Governor Nasir El-Rufai. Angered by Tinubu’s interference in who becomes Chairman of Nigeria Governor’s Forum, El Rufai asked Lagosians to dethrone Tinubu as godfather and gave them formula on how to do that. Tinubu had to flex his muscles by ensuring that El-Rufai’s bid to succeed Ex-Gov Yari as NGF Chairman was scuttled. Instead, Kayode Fayemi was selected. Since then El-Rufai had known that Tinubu’s strongman-ship is not an exaggeration and the progressive governor have shelved his presidential ambition and thrown weight behind a southern candidate.

To the best of my knowledge, Tinubu’s long hands is in the ordeals of late Senator Uwajumogu representing Imo North, the only ranking Senator from the South East, who could have become a Senate President of principal officer in the National Assembly. INEC refused to issue him certificate of return till July 25th after a court compelled them to do so. The shock of his certificate being withheld, just as in Okorocha’s case, got the man sick and he never recovered till he slumped and died.

Tinubu installed Yemi Osibanjo as Vice President, Ahmed Lawan as Senate President, Femi Gbajamiala as Speaker of House of Reps and think he has cleared ways for his presidential bid.
una no dey tire for all these lies?

It is not a big issue.

There is no difference between a yoruba presidency and a northern presidency to thr rest of the south.

Infact, a northern presidency is more palatable.

Now Oshopikin will know that failure is like a leprous hand and nobody likes it.
If he had delivered Edo, he would have secured some more respect but now that he couldn't, he is alone and that will be shown to him
if it is all about Oshiomole, then the OP won't have voiced his opinions as regards some governors ganging up against certain interests, or a North South supremacy contest especially with 2023 as the targets. Oshiomole is just a gate to a larger issue that the just concluded(?) Edo election epitomized. The aftermath is what you should be concerned with. The cracks that is visible is sending ripples which we shall better appreciate in the days to come.

-Money laundering
-Electoral malpractice
-Bribery

These are all a million times worse than nepotism.
Bros ,until Magu is found guilty in a transparent judicial process, the life force of Buhari's government is gone. So where is the moral courage to defend an administration that keeps an AG like Malami but destroy a fighter like Magu?

Not necessarily rig.

*He did not campaign enough for Ize Iyanmu. Never vocal like Atik u and co.
*He skipped Ize Iyanmu's final rally.
*He obviously sided with the Amaechi, El Rufai and Fayemi group in order to check Tinubu.

All these and more are enough to affect Ize Iyanmu.

And by the way; others before him rigged so why wouldn't he?
And pls don't tell me about change; any party doing "change" with a party like PDP is dumb.
bros don't waste your breath please. the Presidency's roles starting from how Wike won his second term despite security reports as to the unbridled wasting of innocent lives and the bribing of judges to seal the anomaly aided by folks close to Aso Rock in his first term , have been highly suspicious. Don't forget that Aisha Buhari had shouted that the government had been hijacked especially when PDP guys were getting big jobs and positions that should have been kept for party faithfuls who had suffered to secure 2015 for APC. You ain't seen nothing yet. This defeat is painfully sweet walahi ;even if temporarily. Ignore that selfish and myopic politician called Okorocha for he is talking from a bellicose state.

At least it is clear what next is coming. Just dey look .
