Last week I noticed that if you use Ikoyi toll gate, the system will debit you on the screen but if you check your balance on the app you’d find out that you have not been debited. That didn’t stop me from topping up my account. I used the bridge yesterday and my account was showing -680. I say wetin happen Na I think say una they do giveaway , the guy in the booth said no but he’ll let me go but I should top up my account. This morning I recharged 2k and they removed their money. I used there earlier and I met queue longer than usual at that time, I later discovered that I was not the only one affected, saw different cars with negative balance. Who else noticed this? |

glambo: Am new Please how do people get to own uber /bolt money.
Are drivers not mandated to send company's commission before another trip When you have taken too many cash trips, you will owe them money (their commission). Before now you can owe them as much as 20k. Now when your negative balance is above -2000 you are likely to be restricted to card trip for them to collect their money. |

mistadayo: My car has been due for reinspection since February and I've not done it.. I've been driving like that.. should I be worried they might block me? If you can afford the time, go for re-inspection to be on the safe side. You might wake up one morning to start work and you’ll discover you’ve been blocked. I probably might not go for the inspection myself if they don’t block me immediately it expires because I don’t know if they will pass the car with it’s rough bumpers. Mainland danfo drivers show me pepper before I run comot for there. |

Don't wait till they send you receipt before you make payment. Yes they sent me multiple receipts, from when it was 3k+ and when I crossed the 5k mark. Just put your Account Code in the narration box when making the transfer. |

It’s just pure luck, I didn’t do anything extraordinary. While on the trip, the rider called someone she copied his phone number on IG and the person was rude to her. She turned to me and said ‘can you imagine the rudeness, is this how Instagram sellers behave?’ ....so we got talking and it happened. |

But I don't blame it. The Ecobank is like the last building before you climb the Bonny camp bridge and descend at that US embassy car park before you face Onikan stadium. That one is their HQ on Ahmadu bello

izzou: I tell you.
Do everything and anything to protect your money, or else....
I can't count how many times I've told my riders that I just started driving on Uber the day before, so they can direct me (especially ladies)
Me: Ma, I'm sorry but I don't know where we are, and the map isn't working
(Its a lie oh. I just want to be sure we are not making the wrong turns)
Her: Are you not an Uber driver? Can't you use your app?
Me: I just started yesterday, and I came to Lagos last week. So it's not been easy learning the ropes
She becomes empathetic
Her: I'm sorry. Just turn left
....and then the directions begin I do this too. Since the day I took a rider I was supposed to take to Opebi to Mile 12 I don’t hesitate to ask to them for directions. The man I took to Eco bank Akin Adesola yesterday. He asked if I know Akin Adesola, I said Yes. He asked if I know the Exact place where Eco Bank is on that road, I said No. He updated the address from Eko Hotel to Eco Bank Akin Adesola, I got the notification on the App and I quickly loaded Gmap, Gmap was now saying we should goto lagos island

Mainland has so many traps though You are right bro. To survive driving on the mainland without getting into trouble will require extra effort from the driver. In fact you can’t escape it |

InfinityEstates: This work ehn, na grace. Yesterday, after dropping off my wife off at work, I went online (which I normally do till evening when I go to pick her). I drove around and 'positioned' for like an hour. Shi shi I didn't see, not even N500 trip. I got tired and went back home. I can't come and kii myself.
I went out today around 8. I drove around for like 10mins and a request came in. Interesting guy, had issues with a transfer and wanted to go to the bank and wanted me to wait. On a norms, I wouldn't try it, but this one wey area dry? The guy said he'll do me well. I said no problem. It turned out that the transfer later went through while he was still on queue and he didn't have to wait for long. Driving around + waiting time took almost two hours till the end of the trip. As usual, Bolt did their magic. Trip ended at 3.4K. Dude transferred 77% extra.
Got other trips, rejected a couple of others (Ikorodu, Lasu, Ipaja). In the end, today was good.
Tomorrow? God is in control. Na Gods grace we they take survive this period. I would have done a couple of trips too but Na mumu location all of them be. The guy I discharged wanted me to wait while he sorts out his business at ECO Bank by Bonny camp bridge, I had waited for him to finish at Akin Adesola Eco bank branch hoping he’d say we should proceed to Lekki where I picked him from. Getting to the one at Bonny camp I saw plenty people waiting in line, I just tell am say I no go fit wait before he could say ‘jack Robinson’ I don end trip. Ride was 1800. I drove empty from there to Freedom way to wait for my offline rider Btw hope you are keeping tab on your cancellation % ? |
