Became home sick, decided to give Uber a try today. Did four trips, back to back, between 9am - 11am before going back home after seeing the number of uber cars idling away. The trips were all between Lekki and Ajah. It felt so good being out there. I was happy going out to work and overcoming my fears.

But some Nigerians are something else. You literally have to force them to wear mask. They wear it for five minutes, then pull it back down. You seriously have to keep telling adults to wear back the mask. Lol
Lucky you, at least the few trips you did will cover for fuel and chilled beer for the evening.

Bolded: It’s annoying and I find it stressful having to concentrate on driving and still look out for rider that has taken off his or her mask.
Especially when approaching Jakande, lastma and police are waiting steady looking for scapegoats.

In my opinion, you should have cancelled the trip immediately you noticed something was wrong.

The RX guy will most likely think you're with the other guy, not knowing you're just the Uber guy.

But then, what had been done, cannot be undone grin

I did not know he would follow us. The rider just entered the car and said pls drive fast and don’t stop for anybody. Initially I thought it was the usual yahoo boy line. Most of them are always livid when they are not in the comfort of their house.

Yes o it can’t be undone grin

$270,000 Damn!
The annoying thing is, if he recoup that doe, half of it might be spent at Quilox to prove supremacy.
Baba, it seem the hustle is picking up.
Would you advise someone who left Lagos to ijebu since March 28 to come back and pick up where he left off ?
My work is done at the plantain farm already and I miss the city hustle.
Boss come back to the hustle when the lockdown eases of finally. At this present time those of driving are just doing it to keep body and soul together and to also have something to fall back to should SanwoEko decide to issue another lockdown come next week.

Since you own your car and have a place to stay in Lagos, why not! Come drive to earn some money baba.

I wish I could give you any reference but it's a verifiable fact, I don't know if anything has changed lately. You can see from the picture you posted, the part that reads, "going towards your destination" at the bottom, was blacked out. The policy doesn't make sense but that's Uber for you.

The bottom line is that Uber is very cocky world over and not just a Nigerian thing. Aside fares, most of their policies are consistently the same in more than 90% of places they find themselves. There may be few exceptions though.

Yea, Uber will be very worried if Lyft comes to Africa. Truly, only Lyft can knock them off their perch in terms of app quality and service delivery. Africa may be Lyft's last call after expanding to some places in Europe and Asia
I don't think they have gone beyond the shores of US and Canada yet.
This might help...

See sweet passive income without stress. Even if the stuff crashes, your bro has made his capital back. Forex trading requires a sound, calculative, informed and pressure-free mind.
Exactly. He’s made his capital. And from the agreement he signed with the guy, should anything go wrong, there’ll be a refund.

I quite disagree with you. A lot of people are cashing out from forex bruv. The guys doing it don’t have 10 heads. People fear what they don’t understand.
My younger brother has been cashing out from Forex for the past 6 months now and the boy no tell me. He has a plug that gives him 20% of his capital every week but the guy stopped doing the weekly payment in April and changed to 20% monthly due to the Corona palava. Now he has about 500k Capital with his plug, come May ending his 100k is sure.

Meanwhile I paid 100$ to learn Forex trading last year but fear no gree me enter trade grin. I only play around with BTC now by buying and Holding it.

Yes fully agree.
But some of us want to.setup things like this.
Skilled personnel and back office support are what's lacking.
Maybe lesser-sized industrial machines of various aspects and a back office support from yours truly can make such work.
Of course inspected firstly.
If the FUND is not lacking, then it’s very possible to achieve.

Ok.
But it's a good idea.
It doesn't necessarily have to be Uber driver even private would benefit.
Just make it a product, display it's features and let interested parties subscribe for it.
You would be surprised that private users may even outnumber the Uber users.
Unless there is something specific that makes only Uber drivers beneficial to the idea.
On the other hand, I didn't fully understand the no repairs and working from home u mentioned.
Could it mean for now we can't bring our vehicles to you for functional repairs and only purchases.
What of if u have trained personnel at different locations in Lagos.
You could put a bit of franchise ideology where you could receive royalties either quarterly or yearly and help them live video conferencing of vehicles while in repairs (while the repairing work is ongoing).(WhatsApp video call can handle this with earphones plugged for verbal direction too)
So that constumer will.know that repairs has your endorsement. U could add a little warranty of some sort.
My 2 kobo
The bolded part will be hard to achieve going by Rads standard. It might interest you to know that it’s not only because they are good at what they do that made them stand out but the setup and process involved. Ordinarily to take out a tire at radautoworks you don’t have to sweat to do it, the trained personnel might not have access to most of those machines.

That madam will not give a warranty for such job grin
