Christianity EtcRe: Bishops Disagree With Adeboye On Marriage Advice To Men by babadots: 7:16pm On May 03
If any discerning person reads this very well, they'll see that both the Bishop and Pastor Adeboye said the same thing. The problem came with the Bishop now latching on to just one piece of Pastor Adeboye's message and making a mountain of the mole hill.

Godliness and industriousness were exactly what Pastor Adeboye was advising, while discouraging vanity. So what exactly is wrong with that? Is Bishop trying to trend by all means necessary?

I was reading the comments and hoping someone would recognise the absurdity if a 29th February in a non-leap year. The Memo is either fake or a demonstration of the incompetence of the FAAN as an agency that should earn my patronage.

His mum damaged his life with poor values and home training. She is definitely a collaborator and an enabler per excellence. She drove the nail in the lad's coffin by broadcasting the boy's atrocities on the internet and trying to blame it on the University. That appears to be the last straw that brought the University's ire on her son.

Sorry for the dad and his helplessness in this situation. Women, please back your husbands up when they are disciplining your male child. You don't love them any better than the father by spoiling them and seeking to protect them from the father's correction.

I hope he gets and takes another chance without blaming his misfortune on anyone else.

Why don't you include the cost breakdown of the component parts? That will help folks who may be thinking of getting one installed. It also helps with transparency and trust.

Breaking down on the make and number of Solar Panels, Make and capacity of the Inverters, Batteries etc. will give confidence to folks.

TV/MoviesRe: NANS Gives Multi-choice Company Seven Days To Begin Pay-as-you-view Billing Or.. by babadots:
I am disappointed to be reading this sort of threat from an organisation like NANS. Their preoccupation should be with the quality and delivery of Education in Nigeria, not commercial interests that have nothing to do with their welfare.

DSTV is not an essential service, not even a government service nor a Monopoly, so why is NANS giving them an ultimatum? Unsubscribe to their service and move to Startimes if they are too dear and they will learn their lesson when enough people do the same. But to shut their offices is unlawful and a practice that is alien to democratic norms.

Don't just blame our politicians when Nigeria doesn't work, we all just pick and choose the aspects of democracy that suits us and this makes the country the way it is.

People are really using the VRF/VRV these days. The reason why people run away from it is the initial cost but at the long run it saves cost on power. And majority are inverter system. Most of residential building in Ikoyi, banana island and some area in Lekki used the VRF/VRV system
Daikin
York
Panasonic
Midea
Etc
Thank you. This enlightens me more. I'll intensify my research then.

That is the edge you guys have over the rest of us. You move around and get better exposure.

I use water cooled chillers In my factory , for this my mall projects am using ducted split in some areas , I think that’s what it is called. Midea , imported myself . I think you can use vrf /vrv for all applications but I stuck with ducted for this my projects
This is one of the bigger VRF systems from Midea and it must be powering quite a few indoor units.

Where did you import from and how many indoor units do you power from this?

Was it easy getting these through the ports and did you have to travel abroad to purchase them yourself or did you order online?

I think you have a lot to share with us on this, if you don't mind.

Better than any other person who sold the same brand.

I did my homework though.

got prices/vendors on a spreadsheet, so do your own due diligence.

I don't know if things have changed since then.

The multi-split system is so beautiful, I absolutely recommend it over individual split units especially if you are environmentally conscious or want to conserve power usage
Thank you for this information. I will pursue it accordingly.

On another note, how long does the AC run for with your Solar batteries and how many batteries do you rely on in powering the AC?

That's what we called multi split unit system. It almost similar to VRF system but the only difference between the multi split unit system and VRF system is that the maximum indoor you can install on multi split is 6numbers but vrf can take more .. they are both low power consumption equipment.

People are using it Nigeria

Daikin, York, Panasonic etc have those system
Spot on. If this is popular in Nigeria, how come the suppliers are not promoting them?

I have been struggling to find the information that you and our other folks on this forum have given in the past couple of days.

I hope we have folks who can also service them as well.

Thanks, this is amazing they are not multiple splits that as one single condenser outside unit with 4 to 8 split internal units. My concern about this particular unit is the cost of energy consumption. Although I understand it can be programmed to use any of the units when needed, but the condenser unit is running at capacity which I think is not cost efficient. Please, if you don’t mind can you share more lights on it, or if possible post what it looks like for others that may be interested to learn about it thanks. There is a debate between some professionals in that line, in regards to inverter AC’s and regular AC. Some are of the opinion that the regular AC’s is more powerful in times of output performance in cooling. The other opinion is the inverter AC’s are only good in energy savings but not strong in times of outputs of cooling.
In terms of effectiveness, the sizing has to be done before specs are agreed. The volume of the room and the direction of the dominant windows makes a lot of difference. Windows facing the sun in the late afternoons and evenings admit more heat and these should be considered when specifying the capacity.

Well, I am not the expert in this field, but the trick is that the condenser only runs at the optimal capacity based on the demand from the indoor units.

You are also able to have different rooms at different temperatures, as each room has its own thermostat and controls. Another advantage is that your entire house is served by a limited number of units, so you don't have condensers hanging all over the building. You can use different indoor units connected to the single condenser e.g. a wall-mounted unit and a standing unit and a ceiling-embedded unit and a concealed unit all powered by the same condenser.

A lot of these multi-splits also use the inverter technology as well as the newer R-32 refrigerant which are both good for the pocket and the environment.

I am sure some other clued-up folks in here will be better able to extend this list.

Hi, can you throw this open. What exactly do you mean halfway house between the fully central ones and individual split unit Ac’s ?
Multisplit or multi split ACs are systems that have 1 or more indoor units per 1 outdoor/external unit. This allows one to minimise the number of external ACs hanging out on walls.

They are not Central Air-conditioning Systems powering the entire house, but you can power between l and 6 units/rooms from just one Outdoor unit.

This allows you to purchase 2, 3 or 4 units to power the entire house.

They are much more energy efficient than the standard splits as they only generate output based on the demand for cooling. If you switch on the AC in one room, for example, it will only be using say 20% of the installed capacity.

We don't use it much in Nigeria because it is the next level up from split units and relatively newer in technology. I think it will become more popular with time and Solar deployments.

I'll wait and see if they respond in the course of the next week.

definetely the make is Gree i have two types one with 2 indoor and the other with 3 but i brought down from base (Germany) The are inverter Ac's without surge
Thank you desiji. The Midea units that I found were also from Germany and the trouble with importation and all is what is discouraging me from considering that option. I checked with Midea here in Nigeria and they either didn't understand, or they were too set in their ways to think of anything but the commonly available splits.

I am researching the multisplit options as I also abhor the clutter. Trouble is, the original building design ought to have considered it in the first place and hidden ducts can be provided for. It is difficult to retrofit into a completed building.

Having said that, we'll get there someday, so I would appreciate recommendations on the best vendors for multisplits in Nigeria.

Thanks in advance.
Any progress on this matter? I am looking too and would appreciate recommendations and/or referrals from this forum.
