aaronson: For some reason, I express myself better speaking in good English. I dislike pidgin because it kills the ability for usage of good English. Some are sweet to the hearing which are- Warri and Benin pidgin.
But
To me, Nothing like good polished English, I listen to your spoken English to determine your level of intelligence, More complex words/terms you know, More intelligent you tend to be.
Pidgin also kills the ability for writing good sentences without using shorthand, And for me, if I get to chat you up as a cute girl and you the type that uses short hand, it kills the vibe for you and you would no longer appeal to me anymore. In the case of a guy, I won't even keep up chat with you unless we talking very important issue. na ppu like u go sabi write but can't speak or can speak but can't write... show me ur o'level first abeg o.. who english Epp sef? |

jmichlins: I hope my Igbo brothers will see that many people are giving up on tribalism yet we sulk over an election done and dusted almost a year a ago. Imagine an hausa man as an appointee to obiano be sure he wants to islamize anambra or okorocha, he will be called a bastard who found his way here. Yet our people are appointed all over the country and do not tell me we are efficient and hard working cause last time i checked hausa and yoruba men are the richest men in africa. Make you no kill me cause am still son of the soil that is telling you the truth Just negodu d way u spoiled ur good writeup... Your contribution is good buh u made a mistake; 1. You brought tribalism into d thread by condemning a tribe just to look innocent, u should have written ur comment in form of advice. 2. There is hasty generalisation in ur comment, Richness is not measured by hardwork, have seen ppu, even friends that are lazy buh their parents gave them large sum of money to start life after school or fix dem up in a big company... Also u can't measure the richness of a tribe by one man riches... |

Don't try taking side when u are involve is settling dispute between twins... My mom tried it when my yunga brothers(they were 6 years old then) had quarrel, she supported d yunga(kehinde) one, later on they played together dat evening. When it's time for supper my called dem both buh dey snubbed my mom, she tried to ask dem why and they told her she want to cause quarrel between dem... Lesson: Always try to put dem straight and don't take side... |
