This is one of the narratives that a good electoral system will show the strength of the Igbo nation.
In the last election, just like in 2015, the BIVAS was used in the South but jettisoned in the North where business as usual continued.

Once we get a system that cannot be manipulated easily, you will be shocked on the voting strength of these two blocks.
It is only in Nigeria that a desert zone has population more than the Mangrove Savannah

Then coming to the Igbo voting population, it is no longer news, that in every state in Nigeria , outside the south-east, after the indigenous people population, the next highest homogeneous ethnic group that takes the second place in Population remains the Igbos, this stats is true from Sokoto, to Adamawa, to Niger, to Oyo, to River.

So how do you now evaluate an ethnic group like this with only their people living in the SE states.
Once we get our acts together, you will start seeing surprises, and the right people starts taking their rightly place.

Note that structure here means that the party have strong candidates campaigning for Senate and HOR in their locality, and most grassroots voters voted for Presidential candidate based on the Senatorial and HOR candidate sway, LP did not get any of this advantage. Even APC knows that if Obi is on the ballot and using a national strong machinery, he will win Tinubu before 12noon on the day of election.

PDP election situation room report in Lagos confessed that the votes allocated to Obi in Lagos were 400k+ below the votes LP got, same time happened in other states, the entire world saw the reckless displayed in Rivers, I monitored Akwa-Ibom collation and saw how LP votes were changed to increase PDP votes. Same story across the country.

Whenever we get our acts together in our electoral systems, all these charlatans will disappear from our political landscape. A situation where a third class student in the University or Law school , because he is from a certain region, becomes a judge under rapid promotion and starts interpreting the law that he could not pass as a student is part of what has kept Nigeria behind.

You cannot relegate Obi with his huge electoral value to a Vice position or out of the contest because he is from a region that you do not want to lead you. You like Obi's message, but you do not want him to lead and actualize those messages.

Nigerians, until we get sincere leader(s) that will prefer to satisfy the masses even if that closes the door for a second term in office, things will remain the same.
During this electioneering process, my fears started with the way @inecnigeria handled the PVC collection.
Technology has made electoral manipulations a bit difficult for societies that want to progress. For @inecnigeria, PVC collection, there was no real-time data and no punishment for areas where cards are delivered but intentionally hoarded for voters suppression.

What would it have taken @inecnigeria to add a PVC status field in their portal with status as ["Processing","Shipped","Delivered","Collected"] and a complaint field where voters could note their complaints. if a registered voter PVC status is showing as Collected and the voter has not received your PVC, or showing Delivered in @inecnigeria portal and the officers are saying that the card is not there for collection, the voter will note on the complaint field. The complaint dashboard will bring visibility to @inecnigeria where they need to beam their searchlight. That would have foreclosed the level of disenfranchisement that we witnessed in some states during the PVC collection. This solution does not need additional infrastructure to achieve.


The events that happened in Osun state election, where two different @inecnigeria CTCs were issued to different parties depending on when they requested for it, was the first alarm that all is not well with the system. Someone made an argument on a national TV that some are still downloading, and you wonder how long it takes for it to download, if all the data are not downloaded over 24hrs, note that none of these CTC were issues before 96 hours after the election.



Our security agencies especially @PoliceNG disappointed us big time, there were open threats before, during and immediately after the Presidential election, there was no arrest or investigation and nobody was brought to book. This emboldened these merchants of impunity to carry out more harm in many states during the gubernatorial and HOA without consequence. The carnage and electoral violence we witnessed on 18th March was because the excesses of 25th Feb which was neither questioned nor addressed. A situation where @PoliceNG standing brief for MC Olumo ethnic threat is despicable and opprobrious.
The events in Rivers where the government of the day used all antics to prevent the opposition from exercising their due right of filling a petition at the tribunal nd the law enforcements agencies looked the other way. What goes around, they say, comes around, the ruling team today, might be in the receiving end tomorrow, go ask Rotimi Amechi or Chimaroke Nnamani. We need to strengthen our institutions, currently, they are serving whoever is in power.




What the likes of Profs. Soyinka and Sagay fall to understand was that @inecnigeria continued promises and re-assurance made Nigerians middle class and youths to become emotionally attached to 2023 transition process. @inecnigeria assured it was not business as usual, regardless that some gains were recorded with the BVAS, the people witnessed a deliberate move that negate all the lofty messages and assurances we got from @inecnigeria before the election. Before 2023, youths and middle class have stayed off the process because of the known manipulations. How do you explain to us that a server that took Senate and NOR upload could not take the Presidency upload. Until now, we only know of a technical glitch, no one has come out to share the remote cause of the event that painted @inecnigeria effort in bad light. Until Nigerians and elites understand that any fund not well spent is robbery on the citizens , we will continue to see people coming out to defend @inecnigeria because 2023 result is better than previous general elections.


In analogy, I work in an environment where because of automation introduction, a task that used to take the industry 2 days to analysis less than a decade ago, now takes less than 10 mins depending on the server processing power and speed. Would you refute a client that complain that your 2hrs time-lag for the processing of the same task today is too poor because there used to be an era less than a decade ago when this same process took 2 days? The confidence level on this election based on all technology inputs is lower than those previous elections they were talking about. What they did not factor in is the effect that the bogus cost we spent on technology was meant to deliver. Nigerians cannot lower our expectations because some incompetent people hold sway at such agencies, The world is a global village. What the last election did to the Psyche of youths is very damaging. If the process has close to 50% confidence level and BAT won, Nigerians would have moved on and will hold him accountable. He will have no choice than to work for the masses because he knows he needs to build more voters to his side for the next cycle. With what happened in 2023, Politicians are already thinking on how to bypass the system in 2027 since the ruling party did it in 2023 and nothing happened.



My overall view on the 2023 general election, it processes, it was a marginal departure from where before as BVAS accreditation capping has demystified many polling units, local Govt, States and regions that used to post bogus inflated voters turn-out which are non-existence. 2023 would have been the turning point in Nigerians leadership selection process if not for the deliberate connivance of the umpire to manipulate the system.

Why cant INEC transfer the money to these adhoc staff /Corpers account after getting confirmation from INEC cordinator that they have carried out their work.

All these could be automated and all these bottleneck removed.


Here, we like suffering and exploiting ourselves.

I lived in Enugu where an Hausa man is a Councillor in the Artisan area of Enugu metropolis because Hausas have a huge population in that area.

If a Kwara indigene with their population in Lagos could aspire to lead, why will someone from Imo state that has lived in Lagos for many years not aspire to lead bearing in mind the population of Imo indigenes in Lagos and the area he is trying to represent.

Some three months back, I revealed to a friend while analyzing PO's visit to Anambra state Governor Prof. Charles Soludo.

I shared that Soludo might not be happy that Peter Obi is taking the Igbo Presidential slot if PO eventually wins 2023 election. With my calculation, Soludo is nursing a Presidential ambition and have a better chances of alignment with other tribes based on his service in the past to the nation which we all adjudge as excellent in all ramifications.

Playing to Peter Obi's win will impact his very chances as it will take another 24+ years before it gets back to the SouthEast, to him it will be better to go to any other region but the south East now, so that after 8years, he must have finished his tenure and push to Presidential slot.


Mark my words, Soludo will exit from APGA before his second term ends or immediately after his second term to position himself for presidency if the PO did not win 2023 Presidency.

I lived in Lagos Pre and Post Tinubu administration and I could share with you that very few upward changes happened comparing this with enormous resources available to the state.

I want to debunk some claims which is being peddled by this wicked propagandist.

Yes, Lagos IGR grew from 600m to 7B, what was Tinubu contribution to it, very little if any.
Lagos was positioned as commercial hub right before Tinubu entered into Politics.
1999 was a return to democracy and many investors trooped into the country to invest, guess where their cooperate offices always is, Lagos, not because of anything done post 1999 but because of its commercial central status pre-1999 with working ports etc.
The liberalization of telecommunication by Obasanjo led Federal Govt, which state did it favor most, It was Lagos, that policy brought in more than 120 direct multi-nationals companies and many many in-direct local companies into Lagos state.
Nigerians IT industry boomed during the bank consolidation era, springing up many foreign and local IT companies, Lagos was their base, same reason, it was the commercial hub with a vibrant sea and air port. Tinubu hand no dey here.
Gov. Soludo led CBN Bank Consolidation policy, which state did it favor most ? Lagos state, not because of any thing done by Tinubu from 1999 but because of the state status even before 1999.

Nigerians , let us not be fooled again, Lagos state could be administered by any average administration and Lagosians as a people did not see any special effect or improvement under Tinubu.
None of the Lagos IGR growth could be attributed to any magic of Tinubu's administration, the trigger indices were all external.
The boost or perpetual reference of Lagos IGR growth is akin to a traditional ruler in Kuje or Gwagwalada within the time of 1991 to 2000 boosting that his reign ushered in the highest population growth in the community, without aligning the population growth trigger to the relocation of the Nigeria's capital to FCT, Abuja and all its auxiliary ripple effect in terms of population growth.



Coming to the comment that " Lagos was a jungle before 1999 " when he took over, BAT is not being fair to administrators that led Lagos before him. I witnessed the Col. Marwa administration which introduced Operation Sweep and the tricycle we call Keke-Marwa today and did so many roads in Lagos. The state was greatly secured and working before BAT took over, anyone in Lagos then could bear me witness.
Tinubu inherited the most progressive state in the country under the military. The award Marwa got as a military administrator for 3years, Tinubu could not march in his 8years of administration. The area boys that were already routed off by "Operation Sweep", that gain was reverted by Tinubu and we are still battling with that menace. During Tinubu, OPC was a great issue in Lagos, they were so much lawlessness in Lagos under him. Do not argue with me, ask anyone that was living in Lagos then.

If you have studied the nature of an average Igbo man, you will know that he goes for what he believes in. 2007 and 2011, General Buhari contested Presidential elections with Igbos as his VP while the other parties have no Igbo in the race, Igbo massively voted for PDP because we believe PDP candidate has better capacity than their opponent.

Though Kingsley is good but he has not been tested in a state governance apart from his role in CBN and other boards which we could not judge with.

It seems you are not seeing the point here.
Wike role in factionalising PDP has put a big dent to Atiku Abubakar sole campaign claim of being a nationalistic patriot and a unifer.
Atiku could not bring peace to PDP party which is a micro segment of the Nigerian society, how could he achieve same for Nigeria when opposing forces and interest mount on him.

Atiku seems not to have changed from the typical Nigerian politician that displays lack of integrity, whom you could not hold on their words.

Ethnic, Tribal centered campaign from APC in the South West.

The SW APC leaders are not campaigning because of Tinubu's comparative advantage over other party's standard bearers, instead they are campaigning from the angle that It is the South-West turn.

That "Our turn" assertion is totally wrong and untrue when you consider that other region in the South is yet to be at the helm of affairs.
Our politicians have skewed the thinking of average Nigerians that we are not concerned about people that serve our interest. When they get in there, they only serve the interest of the selected few because they did not earnestly promise you anything.

I shared it in a TVC post, unless Tinubu's handlers shield him from spontaneous media interviews, he will continue to goof all through the campaign period. I have an aged mother who is battling with aging condition, sometimes during our long phone call, you hear her deviate from the discussion. My mum used to be a woman leader during her prime but I know non of the groups would chose her as their President now unless they just want a ceremonial leader.

Any right thinking person, even those drumming for Tinubu, in their inner closet know that he is not fit for the rigorous activity of the office of the President.

Campaign and administration by Proxy will not work from next year. We experimented that with Buhari and paid dearly for it.

I listened to Kwankwaso in one of his interviews where he said he did not agree to serve as VP to Obi because the mood in the North is that Power will remain in the North after Buhari's regime.
I also listened to Arise interview with Shehu Madhi and he shared same opinion, North will vote for Atiku , then this nation destroyer Gumi is saying same thing.
Anyone expecting Atiku to be different from Buhari will be making the mistake of a century, he is one of the plot from all I have seen.
He is part of the foundation of the problem and could not be a solution.


The same North that is shouting Nigerians should discard religious and ethnic sentiments , only promotes that merit thought pattern when it comes to areas where it favors them. In their own view , Atiku is the man with the experience and accepted across regions.
Atiku the experienced unifer cannot unify warring groups in his party PDP, one of the hallmark of a good leader is to earn trust, does Atiku earn the trust of Nigerians?

I don't have issues if the North wants to promote meritocracy but it should be wholistic, in Education , admissions both in Unity Schools and federal universities, Placement in Public Service should be on Merit, National appointments should equally be on merit.

The North has been dragging this nation backwards for a long time, no wonder many of the Southerners are eager to leave Nigeria.`

I want to inquire how INEC will ensure that all newly registered voters that are willing to collect their voters card are supported to do that,

With the recent development where we have seen people burying voters card to manipulate the electoral process.

My question is what is INEC doing to ensure such do not happen any more, the difference I have seen from Oyibos and us is that their system anticipate failures and risk and build processes to counter it.

I will suggest INEC to handle the voters collection exercise in these simple way.
- On INEC portal, there should be a verification that applicants could check if their voters card have been delivered to their preferred collection center. With this and constant media awareness, it will limit un-manageable queue at the collection center as people would be able to ascertain if their voters card is ready for collection and delivered before coming to the center.
- There should also be a public complaint form on INEC portal, where people could lodge complaint to INEC if their voters cards could not be seen or lost. PO is saying that if elected, he will work with each state to find those areas they have comparative advantage and help push it to production, thereby giving jobs to more people, increasing taxable population as they are gainfully employed. If done right, it has cyclic ripple effect for wholesome growth.


Importation of goods where we do not have local substitute will always be there, even if we become 100% production economy, China still imports several items from around the world.

If we cut the cost of Governance , you will see that Nigeria has so much money to deliver many production enabling projects.

If they open our eyes to the amount of money being siphoned with the tag "Consultancy" in Nigerian government, you will shed tears.
Government agencies that pay salaries to professionals as their staffers, will delegate their responsibility to a consultant and by that , take out ranging from 10-30% of the project sum as consultancy without adding any additional value. All these are part of the consumption economy PO is against , if you are employed to be a seasoned professional, we expect you to deliver on value, that is lacking in today's arrangement.

Check out what they import, every country will always import what they don't produce and export what they produce in the same measure, that is balance of trade.

Have your preferred government enabled the local production of commodities we have comparative advantage on, are we refining our crude in Nigeria, is that too much to ask for, Nigeria imports Eggs and Palm oil, areas we should have great comparative advantage if Government is doing the right thing. What about education, as a nation with large population like we have in Nigeria, if our educational system is good, many more Nigerians will be exported to different parts of the globe earning foreign currencies and remitting same as diaspora remittances, that is not happening.

- The old Enugu - Onitsha road from (Awka <> Nkpor) was re-constructed by Peter Obi
