The plans on refineries taking effective shapes and prominence. He cant afford to take Nigeria on that terrible road Buhari did because Nigerians will vehemently resist that.

SUFFERInSMILIIN:

Let me inform you something the white man has many strategies. Why Nigerians were concentrating on the court case the real reason was to expose Nigeria to the world as a non investment destination. Now look at Nigeria's economy look at Nigerian naira when you do not know where the enemy is targeting from it's only a fool which is in a tunnel and cannot see around him.

The court case was a diversion why the economy of the nation sinks to the bottom of the ocean, everything has a beginning and the end
Your analysis is completely off target

Hello guys, Please I want to get a 16tb flash drive from AE, but I'm seeing most prices around. $7-10 and suspect they might be fake, although they have positive reviews (4.5+)

Are my suspicious wrong? Or is there a reliable shop to buy from? Thanks.
It is clearly fake and will work until you store more than 4 gigs of data or so. From that point you are saving all your data into thin air.

When people claimed that buhari has died and. Jubril of Sudan was in Aso rock, the world didn't notice Nigeria's foolishness. Now we have a situation where Nigeria is being disgraced on the world stage even though at the end of the day Tinubu cannot be removed from Aso rock whatever happens with the certificate saga just like buhari could not be removed despite all the intrigues.
Nigerians are not demonstrating intelligence prowess.Stupidity is a curse.

Bebigiby1:
It is absurd to think that after all brouhaha and shame Tinubu has brought to this country over the past 24 hours he will make public resignation speech but unfortunate nothing has been said by the presidency or national assembly. This silence has shown a direct disdain and disrespect to Nigerians who are forced to bear the consequences of this shame that has plagued the social media and international media since the news broke over of the president's forged documents. Tinubu should bury his head in shame for his cowardly approach to the crisis. Our legislators who claim to represent Nigerians should also bury their heads in shame for failing to speak up or do the needful in an event like this that has international dimension and far reaching global damage to Nigeria's image. It is indeed sad that Nigerians have no one in government to fight for them or represent them in this trying times. In a sane society Tinubu should've resigned by now and an independent investigation should've been instituted against him and INEC to ascertain the degree of irregularities that occured during the 2023 presidential election.

The deafening silence by the presidency, Tinubu, national assembly, anti-graft agencies and all stake holders should bother Nigerians. What is happening is a clear indication of deep rooted corruption, selfishness and criminality among those we call leaders. It's a shame indeed! Tinubu were is your conscience?
Because he is the bonafide president of Nigeria for the next eight years and is also commander in chief. He has a new title as well " oko omo ibo".

What you need to understand is that all these were actually incorrect figures. We keep hearing how Niara was so strong in the past, but the truth is the currency was tightly controlled and only a few people had access to it. Many firms had already started going out of business in the 80's due to lack of FX. If you wanted to travel the govt restricted the amount of FX you could take (It was called BTA, Basic travel allowance and you had to get it form the bank)
Those figures are just propoganda
You are 100 percent right.Fx was tightly controlled then

Politics / Re: As Tinubu Awaits His Global Disgrace, What Do You Want For Nigeria? by Babalegba(m): 12:48pm On Sep 26, 2023
Penguin2:
“Come let’s have a conversation” - Isaiah 1 v 18.

Come let’s have a conversation as Nigerians.

Let’s forget, for a moment, that we are from the North, the South, the West or East.

Let’s also forget, for a moment, that we are apologetic to APC, PDP or LP. Or maybe NNPP or BOOT Party. All join.

Irrespective of your creed, there’s a sincere question that you need to search your heart and answer. That question is, “what do you want for Nigeria?”

Do you want a Nigeria where there’s rule of law, or a Nigeria that is a lawless country?

Do you want Nigeria built on merit or you want a Nigeria built on mafian system of Might is Right?

Do you want a Nigeria where it would be valuable for a child to grow up and keep his record clean through Primary, Secondary schools and University or you want a Nigeria where a tout can wake up one day and go to buy doctorate degree from any university and use it to get same privilege as those who spent years reading and labouring for that same degree?

Do you want a Nigeria where integrity and honesty pays, or you want a Nigeria built on lies? Somebody can come to borrow money from you and deny it tomorrow. And when you go to court, court will say he’s not guilty because the signatures on your agreement document was signed with blue pen instead of red pen. Is that the Nigeria you want?

Do you want a Nigeria where the common man can approach the Judiciary with confidence of getting justice when oppressed by the rich, or you want a Nigeria where it would be normal for the rich or the connected or the privileged to buy judgments from courts even against reason and facts?

Come let’s have a conversation.

Do you support the barbarity that is going on now because it favours your divide?

Do you know that tomorrow you could be on the opposite side of what you are supporting now, and by then, you will become the victim of what you helped enthrone because by then, the precedent shall have been established; through your support.

Come Let’s have a conversation.

Are you happy with PEPT judgment?

The judges ruled that INEC had powers to choose how to collate votes.

But isn’t that what INEC did? They have the power to choose how to collate votes and they chose to transmit votes electronically in real time.

You heard them say it. I heard them say it too. Every Nigerian and even non-Nigerians heard them say it.

Then on Election Day, INEC now picked and chose which of the election results to transmit and which not to, in clear breach of their own guideline which they drew up in exercising their power to choose how to collate votes.

Now, we go to court, and court says INEC was right to say one thing in the morning and do another thing by noonday. Is that the Nigeria you want?

You want a Nigeria where institutions cannot be trusted? Where they can engage in all forms of rascality and the courts will affirm it on the basis unreasonable technicalities and ambiguous legal clauses?

You celebrate it today because it favours your divide. Tomorrow you might be on the opposite divide.

Come let’s have a conversation.

What kind of Nigeria do wanna spend your old age in?

What kind of Nigeria do you want to leave for your Children?

What kind of Nigeria do you want your Children’s Children to be born into?

What’s the image you want Nigeria to have amongst comity of nations?

What do you really want for Nigeria?

Look beyond 4/8 years.

Look beyond Tinubu.

Look at Nigeria beyond these guys.

What’s your dream/wish for her?
You are too daft to be on nairaland. Jealousy kills.

Fork off. I'm boycotting that useless intimidating manufacturer from today. It is idiotic of them to arrest an innocent citizen like that. It is an abuse of power and abuse of police time.

Did political maturity made you people make a failure like buhari president for 8 years?! Are you trying to say we gonna be rotating and recycling expired politicians into power cos of their political maturity?!

The fact that someone like me supports tinubu doesn't mean I should now be talking stupidly.
I'm glad you supported Tinubu. He was the best of a really bad bunch in the last election. Obi should have been vice president under Atiku and that would have made Tinubu and APC lose.
Being an impatient man, Obi went for the presidency and predictably lost. Now he is disturbing people's peace with kindergarten nonsense about 25 percent in fct. Pathetic.

I honestly didn't see any sense in what you wrote in the nigerian context.. Fact is all nigerian politicians are crooks,in fact a good person cannot aspire to a high political position in Nigeria .
Obi,atiku and kwankwaso gave the presidency to Tinubu because of selfish interests. A house divided against itself cannot stand.
If I were Tinubu,I would also block atiku from getting my C.S.U records released just to pepper him.Atiku could not cajole a recalcitrant Wike yet wants to rule Nigeria that has more than a hundred Wike type personalities.. Obi is too politically immature and impatient to be president.

Stop paramounting someone's language instead of the 200 we have here.
English is our official language and Obi should be able to understand as It's the language of the constitution.Every school going fourteen years old should be able to understand that you don't need to win in Abuja but if you do it will be counted as a state for you.Abuja would have been more severely contested if a win is mandatory there. What's the use of winning all the thirty six states if you lose after losingAbuja.
Nigerians are too embarrassingly daft for my liking ,even the so called educated ones.

Politics / Re: Ewu Ne Ba Akwa: a song celebrating the Jan 15 coup as an Ibo triumph by Babalegba(m): 1:02pm On Sep 19, 2023
ChiefJusticeFuc:

“Igbo in the North were widely taunting their hosts on the loss of their leaders. Celestine Ukwu, a popular Igbo musician, released songs titled Ewu Ne Ba Akwa (Goats Are Crying) and others celebrating “Igbo power”, the “January Victory.” Posters, stickers, postcards, cartoons displaying the murdered Sardauna begging Major Nzeogwu at the gates of heaven or Balewa burning outright in pits of hell or Nzeogwu standing St. George-like on Sardauna, the defeated dragon, began to show up across Northern towns and cities. These provocations were so pervasive that they warranted the promulgation of Decree 44 of 1966 banning them”. Even Dr. Nnamdi Azikwe noted these atrocities in his The Origins of the Civil War: “Some Ibo elements, who were domiciled in Northern Nigeria taunted northerners by defaming their leaders through means of records or songs or pictures. They also published pamphlets and postcards, which displayed a peculiar representation of certain northerners, living or dead, in a manner likely to provoke disaffection.” These images and songs eventually led to the so-called pogroms/ethnic-cleansing/genocide, not the coup”

- Chinue Achebe.
How true is this. This is a bomb if true and completely changes our understanding and perception of the civil war.
