@Ojking, Amefricana has given you a head-way. My skool resumes tmrw but I'll be travelling on saturday, "the VO strongly warned me to get an official letter headed letter from the school because those immigration goons won't want to hear stories or see d email conversation I had!!" .. If VO can say this, get d extension in writing ASAP. Afterwards, you're covered.

domex007: Hello friends, I have this very tricking question, the question can be answered mostly by those in the states already but all suggestions are most likely welcomed..
Now, ♍Ɣ‎ uncle is a medical doctor and owns a clinic and a daycare in the states and still does a full time job and earns seperate salary.
I was admitted into UCO to pursue bsc in computer science but ♍Ɣ‎ uncle thinks I should go for medicine.
Now ♍Ɣ‎ question goes thus:
Between computer science, medicine, and computer engineering which of these courses will fetch a good job with a good pay in the states?
Can I change ♍Ɣ‎ course as the whole situation is on grounnd?
I A̶̲̥̅̊♍ just confused here oooo, I nedd advice and suggestions..
..
- The "Doctors" (MD, BD,DO...)" are the highest paid in the US if its about Money!.. You've got to figure out if it Comp Sc. U want or Med.
- If its medicine, u can surely change your major to a biomedical during your early semester in school (1st or 2nd- not sure). The when uve got the pre-requisite with good grades + good MCAT + clinical experience + recommendation from professors + BIG CASH IN BANK , then you're set for another 4 years of medical school adventure.
But, figure Out what you want! That's the most expedient.

imperiouxx: At the bold: US visa interview isn't easy like that. Even the easiest questions can sway you. Also, you may know much but your favorite questions may not be asked. You can only tell the story when God made it cheap for you.

https://www.mysmiley.net/imgs/smile/party/party0016.gif Cheers!
Gracias Chief, Of course I'm not disputing the God factor.. Infact that speaks and covers all..But we shldnt just fail to recognise our own responsibilities. If the easiest question sways, then it simply means one is not prepared. I saw lots of things and I could easily conclude who is gonna get the white or blue paper.. Just like my friend "adebonje" said " you will know if they will hand you the white paper".. Except in very exceptional cases!.. Enough preparation and some self probing is just needed. Checking on all possible questions and questions that may emanate from answers. I saw those young lads smiling out and the aged students flopping.. I've learnt over years that "if one knows what to say and he's sure of it, then no tongue epilepsy or brain-block can come his way"

I couldn't put off the mischievous smile on me as the day break and I saw the seriousness on pple's faces. I thought, this aint a do or die affair, with less trembling and trepidation, I managed to go through d protocols while having a merry chat with emergency friend next to me!! Apologies for d preface, the long epistle goes thus::
VO: where are u going in the US?
Me: - Minot state university in North dakota
VO: why MSU?
ME: - well... The skool as one of premiere university in d great plain has tailored there educational system to accommodate a low student to faculty ratio of 14:1, this in-turn will enhance hands on learning nd surely depicts there commitment to individual student success. In addition, all students pay same in-state tuition and that will be quite affordable for my dad and I also got an invitation into the school's honors program which I count it a great privilege. ..
VO: hmmm. Okay..(Only God knows what she was looking for on the system)
VO: your dad is paying?
ME: - yes.
VO: what does he do?
ME: - Professionally, he's a chartered accountant currently working as d director of finance at somtin state govt ministry ..and also a business man wit investment in education, housing and water production.
VO:.. Okay. Wen did u graduated from high school?
ME: 2004...( See gobe..!!.. Head started spinning for the next likely question)
VO: so ure going to study biology.. Why?
ME: - I will be studying biology wit sub-specialty in medical laboratory science. .. During my clinical rotation years I found out most of patients mortality were traced to inaccurate ...(VO cuts In)!
VO: (and the question now came): so wat av u been doin since 2004?
ME: - went for predegree in 2005/2006.. Entered nursing skool in 2007, a decision exclusively made by my mon wu is a nurse anaesthetist, aldo I have no regret cos dat was where I got to determin wat I wanted to do, I worked as a phlebotomist for 6 month ..( VO cuts in,)
VO:: -pls spell d phlebotomist.. (she sharply google am)..
ME:: (I continued my bobo period).. I wanted to start applying then but I had to stay bak because my dad was calld fr an international duty in d UK. I was saddled with the responsibility of looking d businesses as his next of kin and signatory to his account.
VO:: okay...ur skool resumes in 2 days,, how.. (me too cut in):
ME::- Yes... I've got an extension till monday ( handed her d email printout) and I tot it wld be wise to book a flight. So I got a reservation for friday. (She didn't boda to ask)
VO:: okay, ur visa is approved. Pick it up on friday.
ME:: Thank you! (Some risus sardonicus smile)

It was a long one, God did it all!! I think I can conclude that US visa interview is quite easy.. Its like an exam which d possible questions are already known! Its left to the student to fashion out the best hard knock answers (weda na true or lie) with supporting documents and that will make the difference!!! She didn't even ask for SOA or SAT!...preparation matters a lot! If one is well prepared, there will be no need for tongue sealing fretting! .. I eavesdropped an interview..
VO: why did u chose the skool?
Student: because I just love the skool..
Hiya! No one surely wants to hear that! Extensive research on the school website will provide answers to questions like that! Blessings!!!
apparently, you spend too much time on your phone. What you wrote there can be considered offensive on several counts.

Better clean up your act, Mister. For your information, VOs have been known to grace this thread, so you might want to think before you type..I suppose that shouldn't be too hard for you?
.. We can always solidify the feeble minded goons like Graviton! That capish post upthere is a spicy blend of psychic immaturity cum gullible connotations. So the "assumed" streaken VO policing the thread knows my name/face/DS 160 barcode number OR what the Heck is his one Saying?? huh.. Gullible nigerian at the begging mercy of white things!! SMH!! Congrats! May good fortune and God's grace continue to flood this thread
.. @Graviton, do you know the meaning of the word "dweebs"? .. I recommend you do some literature review on it! lomaxx: A 39-year old man has been taking 16 bottles of beer weekly for the past 9 months. Last week, he begins to feel a sharp pain in his epigastric region that radiates to the middle of his back and is relieved when he sits up and leans forward.

This pain has increasingly become severe on coughing, vigorous movement and deep breathing. He also has occasional episodes of nausea and vomitting. His serum amylase and lipase levels are abnormally high.

Q1- what is your most likely diagnosis ?

Q2- why would this patient come down with life-threatening respiratory insufficiency as a complication?
A1: Acute Pancreatitis. A2 : Pleural effusion from exudate leakage of the excess amylase and lipase
