Hi, what you need it for counts a lot when choosing a car in Nigeria, if the need is for a daily work commute, i will advice u go for d Toyota, but if its for occasional driving, pls go for the Benz. I drive a corolla and all I do on it is the regular servicing, hardly breaks down. This is provided you got a good one from the on set. If you now still decides to go for a Benz pls choose the C180 kompressor, very fuel economical.

Its best to start with manual , only then you can say you have mastered the art of driving. Moreover, automatic trans come with expensive repairs
