The emergence of the internet in Nigeria and Africa can never be quantified as a mere write up. Nigeria is one of the few countries in the world that has a huge online presence that cuts across all sectors of the economy through platforms such as social media, online banking, online stores, etc. Filmmaking is one of the most lucrative businesses in Nigeria ;However there are many bottlenecks filmmakers continue to face; these includes minimal government and private sector sponsorship and aid , proper policies and guidelines set in place to ensure full copyright protection of the movies against piracy. As a result, an average filmmaker and producer does not consider producing quality movies, instead his interest lies in how much profit he stands to gain even before shooting the movie which makes him cut corners during production resulting in sub standard movies. With the continous increase in piracy, producers have sought alternative means of selling their movies in order to recoup their capital not to even talk about profit as this has proven to be a daunting task. DSTV (Digital Satellite Television) one of the biggest digital satellite TV services in Africa is one of the few platforms producers sell their movie for a negotiated price to air for a specified period of time . IROKO PARTNERS one of the pioneers of the online movie distribution platform founded by Jason Njoku brought life to Nollywood when he began paying millions of naira to buy exclusive internet right of these movies (old and new) from producers. Fast forward to six years after IROKO PARTNERS, Nigerians with their enterprising spirit have begun dabbling into online movie content management. A lot of Nollywood channels on youtube have sprung up. There are over a thousand “Nolly” something on YouTube with the same content. Most of them put up same video on over twenty different channels with twenty different titles. This has become the only source for producers to make money as all other avenues such as selling exclusive rights to online movie distributors and digital satellite TV services have become difficult , since some of these online distributors and digital television services are producing movies themselves with little or no need for external content. Most of these filmmakers and producers have resorted to creating short movie clips now commonly called “internet movies” targeted at a specific audience on youtube, in order to gain a large subscriber base with the aim of making money on these movies online. I took a trip to Alaba international market the other day and the movie section was like a war affected zone as some of them I spoke to had similar things to say about the issue ;“Internet/YouTube has killed us and our business” in their own words. Somewhere in Asaba/Onistha which is an even bigger Nollywood movie market, the marketers are taking the issue seriously by coming together to seek a solution on how to curb the influence of this “Internet Movie” sensation or should I say craze that has affected the market overwhelmingly. I don’t know what the next step for them will be but with the decline of CD sales it looks like the market is helplessly sinking. The story you are reading is not a fiction, i just have to share it cos i need help, suggestion, mail please. i have never witnessed something like this in my entire life. My 10 year old son keep telling me that he wants to have sex. How and where he learn't about what sex is i cannot say. This started couple of months back, i was in the room and he walked up to me and say "Mummy can i have sex" i shouted and lost my cool but since then i have tried to talk to him about having other things in mind apart from sex. i even asked him where he heard it for the first time, who told him about that but he always acts like something in him keeps saying it and not him. I have since transferred him from his room to my little brother's room who lives with me. He is a regular child, enthusiastic and full of life, top of his class, and very smart and all but right now am so so confused. We spoke to a doctor and he asked us couple of question and suggested we should meet with a Child Therapist. I have met with my priest and we regularly holds a prayer session for him but still yet am confused. To even make matters worse my husband who is not always around due to his nature of work returned and keeps blaming me saying it's all my fault. Am very tired. Please i need help.... Has anyone been in this kind of situation. Please i need all the advice i can get Send me mail through insideafrik@yahoo.com CULLED FROM http://insideafrik..com.ng/2016/08/help-my-10-year-old-keeps-demanding-for.html |
I found this interesting post http://insideafrik..com.ng/2015/07/rumored-harmful-effects-of-homosexual.html and thought to share Homosexual practice is a menace in the society nowadays. In some places of the world it is legalized too; in those places they have done the greatest disruption to the basis of their societal life. The homosexuality is not a natural practice and God the perpetual novelty has not created you and me for that purpose. He made us as man and women so as to love and enjoy sexual life through family relationship. But, this is a contradiction in homosexual practice; they cannot form real families, they don’t have values of a societal life and they are not natural by any means. Homosexuality is not a disease, nor a genetic character, doesn’t emerge out of hormonal outbreak but a habit that ruins the life of a practitioner. The homosexual partners usually addict to it and they feel like dying when stopped from their practice; moreover it is a sin that kills the eternity as well as the life of a human being. I hope the readers of this post who have this practice should start trying to stop it, as a greatest pleasure of life and family are waiting for them. Here are some of the harmful effects of homosexual relationships among Gays and Lesbians. 1. Homosexual is unnatural, you are violating the rules of the nature. 2. Scientific studies are stating that the homosexuals used to have lesser lifespan than normal human beings. 3. Childhood molestation happens a lot due to homosexuals in the work places. 4. Many school children are abused by their teachers and other staffs of the school for having homosexual relationships 5. Pedophiles are getting increased due to homosexual practice. 6. Homosexuals usually practice dangerous habits like using drugs, drinking illicit liquor and many more. They are usually an addict to drugs, liquor and cigars. 7. The usage of common needle among homosexuals is more pronounced as they keep more intimacy; whereas the former cause many deadly diseases among them. 8. It is not a good habit to be practiced or to be followed and always not a biological form to be discussed like a transex. It is practiced with more disastrous effect than any other in the society. 9. Homosexual practice not only harms themselves but also the society as they cause deadly diseases and immoral attitudes among young people. 10. The homosexuals practice violence more than that of heterosexuals. It is common among lesbians of younger age. Homosexuality is also a reason for the spread of pain sex and BDSM. 11. The central dogma of a society is its family; the concept of family relationship shatters when homosexuality is practiced. You may legally accept it (In Netherlands and some parts of America it is legal) but in those places you can see divorce cases and family disruption to a large extent. 12. Homosexuality leads to promiscuity; they used to practice sex with different partners. They need it as the family concept and control over sex is not stressed in the homosexual relationships. 13. Worse sex practices are common among homosexuals. Some of them include anal sex among gays and anal MouthAction among lesbians is more common than heterosexuals. This may lead to dangerous diseases among themselves. 14. Lesbians and Gays usually have more mental illness than common people have. They are with different stresses and they use this as a solution to all their problems but it ends up with one more problem being added to them day by day. 15. Gays usually get more physical illness and will cause general weakness due to frequent loss of sperm.

By the time of posting this blog these unclad pictures may have circulated to more people because the guy in question is threatening to send the to all his whatsapp and BBM contacts and also to share her more on Fb and other social media platform. See what his friend narrated According to His friend Dele (Not real name) trouble started when all of a sudden Samson's (The main person) girlfriend of almost three years whom he plans to settle down with started behaving funny. He tried all he could to ascertain why her character is changing but that she keeps giving flimsy excuses, if he brings up the issue to going to see her people she always shuns it. The straw that broke the camel's back was this past weekend when she claimed she will be visiting her cousin on the island. That from Thursday till Saturday morning he has not been able to talk to her. He will call her number she won't answer and won't call back, minutes later he will call and her line but she won't return his calls. He decided to go pick up some of his cloths she helped dry clean for him that is in her house (He has a spare key), as he unlocked the main gate, her car was inside the compound he thought maybe she didn't drive to the island but coming close to her flat window, because of the structure of the building that you have to live there or be a regular visitor to to know there is a window there. First: her generator set was running and her inner lights were on and music playing and he was hearing voices, then as he peeped through her window what he was was unbelievable. His girlfriend of nearly 3 years is a lesbian. As he peeped though they were not engaging in the act but they were cuddling and sharing kiss at intervals while they were chatting. Confused and didn't know what to do he called her name from there, by the time she could unlock the door that he has gone out of the compound and as he was driving of he could see her from the rear mirror as she was almost running after his car. He's threatening to even show her face and all... Find the image here http://insideafrik..com.ng/2016/08/man-shares-unclad-pictures-of-her.html |

My fellow Nldrs...... This happened this morning. If anyone stays in Festac and know the connecting road that leads to 321 just after Sweet Sensation Fast food, that's exactly where it happened. The street's road is not smooth so the Okada people climbs the pedestrian path. I went to a tailor there to adjust my dress that I just bought and was coming out I saw this Okada man shouting for a small girl (12 or 13 yrs maybe) to common get out of the road (On top the pedestrian path oo!!) as if that was not enough, the next thing I saw this useless guy spanked this small girls ass and was just riding past me. I just didn't know what came over me, maybe anger or what cos I never felt that way before. I stretched out my hand and landed a very hard blow on the Okada guy and he fell down. He was trying to stand up when I rushed and pinned him down there just incase he had a dagger or something, I didn't even know that the two guy not far from me saw what happened and within the split of a second this Okada man was shouting "Abeg Oga, Oga Abeg". Because this two boys were obviously more angered than I was, they beat him black and blue. You could see the smile on this small girls face as she stood there for the 2 minutes this beating went on. I didn't come out with my Android phone cos I was rushing out that morning, I would have taken pictures. I don't know what is happening again ooo!! This is what I experienced this morning |

Urges unemployed youths to access N25bn ETF. The Lagos State Government on Friday said that from July 1, 2016, it would commence a total enforcement against street trading and street hawkers, saying that the law banning their activities across the metropolis would take its full course. Speaking at a live interview session on Television Continental, the State Governor, Mr. Akinwunmi Ambode said that the renewed enforcement is in line with Section One of the Lagos State Street Trading and Illegal Market Prohibition Law 2003 which restricts street trading and hawking in the metropolis. The Governor, while sympathizing with the family of a street hawker who was knocked down by an articulated truck while trying to evade arrest from officials of Kick Against Indiscipline (KAI) along Maryland Bus stop on Wednesday, regretted that the situation led to the destruction of public assets. “It is not in our DNA to allow someone to just die by road accident or the way it happened in respect of the incident. But beyond the fact that we lost one person while crossing the road as a result of evading arrest by KAI officials, I need to tell Lagosians that over 49 buses were actually destroyed and it is costing us like almost N139 million to put those buses back on the road,” he said. Consequently, Governor Ambode said the State Executive Council has resolved to enforce the Law, which according to him makes both the hawker and the buyer liable of the offence. “The issue is we need to enforce our laws because we already have a law in respect of that and then there is a clause in it which says the buyer and the seller are both liable and that we are going to fine them either N90, 000 or a six month jail term. “What we are doing on traffic is that we are introducing new strategies to eliminate traffic but Lagos being a cosmopolitan city, you cannot totally eliminate it but now this is the case, in the next few days, you will see on the street of Lagos signs that will be warning you that buyers and hawkers should be aware that there are consequences,” Governor Ambode said. He said his administration has also concluded plans to roll out a massive campaign which would warn both motorists and hawkers of the restrictions and the penalty for defaulters. “We will be watching out for buyers and sellers and all we need is just scapegoat. Don’t buy plantain chips or any other item in traffic from July 1, buyers beware,” Governor Ambode warned. He said aside the environmental hazards associated with the activities of street traders and hawkers alike, they also pose great security and health risks. “A whole lot of people who are hawkers, when you check them, I understand from intelligence that there is a cartel. Some people buy fake products and then bring the products in and then give these boys to sell on the street and come back to make returns in the night. So, what I want to advise Lagosians is that most times when you think you are buying something of quality on the road, be rest assured that those things are fake product,” Governor Ambode said. He however said that much as the State Government intends to be civil in enforcing the law, some recalcitrant persons try to subvert the process, hence the need to ensure total compliance with the law. Asked what plans the Government has unemployed graduates who have taken to street hawking, Governor Ambode said that his administration has launched a N25billion Employment Trust Fund, urging them to access the fund. Governor Ambode while answering questions on future plans of his administration assured that greater attention would be given to the health and education sectors, while empowerment for the youth and elderly would also get the needed attention. “In the last eight years, while the immediate past Governor actually did a lot to improve on health, you will also see that what he provided is not even enough to cater for all the people coming into Lagos. “Now, this second year, I can tell you freely that we are facing majorly the health sector, education sector, the issue of elderly people and then the youths. We believe that in the next twelve months which we are starting from now, you will see a major escalation of the quality of the facilities we are going to provide in our hospitals,” the Governor said. My fellow Nairalanders, I just had to share this here cos I don't know how I felt seeing this. So I was chilling with my guy in this nearby eatry sipping my bottle of Legend and just as the football match (FA CUP FINALS) between Crystal Palace and Man United was about to start this couple walked in and sat beside me. Usually I was minding my business but once in a while I looked at both of them. my dear people from the beginning of the match to the first half am not sure this guys spoke twice. Looking at the fine gentleman with the girl you could feel his pain trying to find a conversation or start one but I it wasn't coming at all, the girl in return was on her Phone all through doing what I don't know. When my friend sitting close to the guy peeped on his phone, Guy man was busy shopping on Konga and adding items to his carts I really really felt for the guy. Aside from when the girl orderd for a drink or something they never said anything else till the left
