Good and well detailed review, however, a picture of you in the ride, that of the ride and maybe proof of payment for the service will dispel all doubts of the business sponsoring this, or that of the business creating an account to put this up. |
Let this continue and a time will come when Nigerians will sell all their belongings, take out all their savings, not to seek "greener pastures" where labour or skill are better rewarded, but just to escape the country solely in search of shelter, to preserve life. |
Emary:We shouldn't be vexed because doctors are leaving or wanting to leave the country, or the ones still here and changing fields, an house officer/ resident makes how much? What will a man who has just started a family achieve with that amount? Definitely close to nothing going by the cost of things now, from a decent apartment to even a meal a working person deserves, add transportation, it's a big No! Everyone should be calling out those in government, they're the ones killing the citizens, this is all due to poor funding in the health sector, we know the state our public hospitals are in, an idiot can tell why the politicians or their relations do not visit these places, the government continues to fail and the people continue to ignorantly hail. Failings everywhere, we see how our soldiers are being wasted on our roads, under funded, underpaid and not properly armed, overpowered by bandits and terrorists, to the level where the soldiers are attacked in their own barracks. Citizens die needlessly while we goatishly maintain partisan and religious loyalty, in the face of insecurity, widespread poverty and maternal mortality, we refuse to call out the demons in whose domains these calamities are brewed, I am not proud to say I am a healthcare professional, not practicing, in tech, if I ever decide to fall back to my papers, I'm definitely not looking at the festering Nigerian healthcare system. |
These are the kind of people Nigerians elect, the kind of people we listen to and bring on national TV, what a shame. What has happened to the many armed forces? Offering to pay "bandits", do bandits and kidnappers now have to form an association so the money goes through an organised structure? An idiot understands that's not how a serious and a government that's not involved with the "bandits" will handle things. In this meeting who will be the representatives of the "bandits"? What will this fund be called in the state or federal budget? 'Bandit appeasement funds"? What a shame! All of these politicians are just enjoying public funds and not one cares for the common Nigerian, all these people need to be forced out of governance, a total overhaul of these corrupt, mindless and unconscientous self serving evil doers, this is what Nigeria needs. The current structure cannot and will not birth a better Nigeria, a total restructuring into a proper nation, a nation where any man can afford to procure a party's ticket to contest any public office, where judges are actually honourable, where crimes have appropriate swift consequences and any form of corruption comes along with the death penalty. For this to happen, Nigerians must demand it, and this will not be through the "elections" conducted by the state controlled INEC, it must be taken with a fight, a fight taken to the abodes of these handful suffering many millions, this is why I do not support any political party or persons, all of them are a product of the corrupt system, should there be a change of leadership, it'll be a repeat of old complaints and known afflictions, none of these people can save Nigeria. |
Anyone who knows how to read between the lines can tell from the original news article the intention of Japan, key phrases are, "blue collared jobs", "ageing population" and "declining agricultural land" and even going further to emphasize "unskilled" labour, take from that what you will, God bless Nigeria and God bless Japan ☹️. |
This is one of the very few doings of president Tinubu that I actually love, the need for Education cannot be overemphasized, we see what the least educated region has become, they are the most fertile, making kids faster than rabbits, quick to kill over mundane differences like religion, applaud governor for conducting and funding mass weddings when beggar kids fill the streets, this isn't animality, it is a result of lack of education and the brain being in a constant state of inactivity due to opioids sprinkled upon it by Religion and a culture of backwardness. To be free and aware, a man must be educated, and financial difficulties shouldn't make that impossible, an educated community is a clean community, a safe community, a peaceful nation overall, where people are capable of reasoning, it is the only thing that'll overcome tribalism, religious differences, and even language, Tinubu has done this, and it is only right. |
Hey "spectators", where did you get these "facts" you are confidently spewing all over, was there an interview with the pro chancellor, the former VC accused of sexual misconduct, or the members of the governing council fij claims to have signed a document or the female Engineer who claims to have suffered at the hands of this VC? Which of the parties has/have granted you an exclusive like Fij? I'd like the links to the videos. What has happened to suing Fij and its crew if "spectators" is unhappy with any of its findings/publications? Is "spectators" also being funded or had been paid by any of the accused parties to put this out here and anywhere else? Cheap popularity huh? FIJ is known, and trusted by millions, their past works speak for them, "spectators", we do not. what is the aim of posting this on a forum like nairaland? an effort to counter the claims of Fij which were evidenced and properly backed? Poor. Like FIJ, "Spectators" can actually gain adept readers with brains, by being on the side of the often persecuted Nigerians, a voice for the common man, call out crime and abuse of office, rather than kissing the asses (in most of the posts on your poor website) of these dishonourable people who think the common Nigerian has no rights or deserves respect, I hope you and your crew find your way back to the road that leads to a Nigeria that works, one where good journalism thrives, and not the one you thread, where journalism is an "up for sale" tool in the hands of oppressors. |
Danabu:Nigeria and most of its everyday happenings are far from normal and conceivable, the Toyota hiace with the most seat configuration is designed to sit 16 people, Nigerian drivers and Nigerians decide ignore the manufacturer and decide for themselves how many, and the officers on the road meant to enforce safety measures look away, only interested in extorting private car owners. The other day I went to shop at a mall, and while getting the three cway gallons of water I bought into my trunk, I accidentally dropped my car keys and remote in there and slammed the trunk, needed to find a locksmith or go back home to bring my spare (home was just too far and felt too stupid to explain that) Closest Bolt driver was just too far away, I decided to use the yellow taxi, jumped in and the journey began, four at the back and two In front, legs cramped up, all sorts of stink in this vehicle which had non existent suspension, was drizzling, but the driver couldn't shut the windows, if he did we'd suffocate as no AC 😔, some of the drizzle was getting in, I was by the window, got off at the locksmith's and gained access to my vehicle after some minutes. I got home and decided to take a shower, the most disgusting thing I discovered was dark brown stains on my white briefs, thinking hard what this could be, I then remembered the seats of this taxi were a bit soaked from the drizzle before I got in, very dirty seats of course, Nigerians are suffering so much, and the sad thing is many of us don't know it, people who don't have cars deserve a better public transport system, officers on the road should do a better job and not just stand there to take bribes. |
Whoeppme:It is popular practice, politicians and internet fraudsters try to use public figures with careers which can be very lucrative, to clean the money they stole, the public figures do this for a cut, many Nigerians are into this, from skit makers to one hit wonder artistes to even ex bbnaija housemates living large with no signings, the EFCC is just doing a very poor job. |
The politicians or their kins will never be victims of these terrorists, it will always be the ordinary Nigerian, the common man. These politicians know that many Nigerians are docile, stupid and will never come together to make their country work for them, never, not when these politicians can "flame" Nigerians, get them to be foolishly tribalistic and religious 😂, while they loot the nation, set up their kins to take over leadership and or establish them overseas. From security to healthcare and other basic amenities, the story is the same, it is quite obvious the lives of Nigerians mean nothing to those they have elected, peace deal with bandits?😂 "Repentant bandits"🤔 Tompolo a known criminal going on to become a paid pipeline watcher while we have several armed forces? what happened to catching these terrorists in the act and hanging them on national TV? Who are these "idiots" making peace deals if the monies involved in these deals isn't the actual aim of the genocide? No bandit will farm lands In Jos, Benue or Katsina. Why do we several millions of people leave things to God, when the devils we put in the positions of power, a handful, continue to fail us? Come election time, the foolery goes on, this time backed by a few 1000 naira notes, Nigerians must begin to think, we are not cows, goats run away when they stick their hooves in fire, what has happened to us? The massacre and kidnapping goes on everywhere, from Benue to Jos to kogi to owo, damn, I am ashamed to answer "Nigerian". |
Let me put this here, maybe it deters users of these pills and those who think the vagina can be damaged, a man who should be about 60 years old, he's a refrigerator technician, I'd always call him whenever any of my dad's refrigerators had issues, over the years, I got to know him, his wife and kids, as at the time, he was married to a light skinned woman, in her early 40s. Word in town is that this woman isn't faithful and her husband is unable to satisfy her sexually, to cut the story short, about a month ago, I got to know the man suffered a stroke and was taken to a "white garment" church for "healing", curious, I inquired further, I was told by someone close to the family that the husband had been using Viagra pills for a while, in an effort to satisfy the very sexually hungry wife, overtime, he had to take more than the safe dosage for an adult before his Johnson would be up for the task. So on this day, he did his thing, had sex with the wife but his erection was sustained after ejaculation, hoping it goes flaccid after a while, he tried to wait it out, still, johnson was up, that was when he was taken to the hospital, at this hospital, the doctor had warned him to quit the pill at a previous visit over the same issue, this time they couldn't help, and so they sought the "God" in a "white garment" church, and to not be ashamed, his family called his predicament all sorts of things when well-wishers asked of the man, this man died a few days after he lost the total control of one side of his body, may his soul rest in peace. If you're heavily into energy drinks, any of the dark coloured sexual "herbs" (these are just Viagra pills crushed and tainted with alcohol and black colours), they go by different names, striker, night charger, or you're into the pill itself, your chances of suffering the same fate are high. |
@Mramechi, these cars rarely have transmission issues, if you put in the manufacturer recommended oil which is sp3 and you do not always drive like John travolta, then these cars will most likely not give you transmission issues. Dexron 3 isn't Sp3, sp3 is designed for Hyundai/Kia/mitsubishi vehicles, dexron mostly for Fords, try doing a drain and refill with sp3 and see if the complaint is solved, if not, you might have ruined the transmission with a wrong fluid, probably what you did when you had to change the transmission in 2022, I use a 2009 model and just decided to change the oil back in 2022 and 2023, used Hardex sp3 transmission fluid, good luck. |
People have said it just like it is, the two factors which often keep car owners stranded on the road are, owner's negligence or lack of knowledge, and mechanic sabotage (intentionally or otherwise), this is of course the case after manufacturing defect has been ruled out, as some cars will always get you stranded no matter the car knowledge you have or how much you baby the car. |
PenpalOso:Many of us here have tyres on our wheels that look like they were never threaded by the manufacturer, all threading on tyre gone, and we still drive the vehicle, it is stupidity! |
The entertainment industry will flourish, life is hard, and entertainment can be an escape, AI will not replace actors or actresses, not even very good storytellers. Medicine? The best that can happen is Ai advancement through softwares, a physical therapist, nurse or doctor will not be replaced by a machine, people need empathy, professionals need to demonstrate characters that earn them patients' trustworthiness, no AI model can embody all of this. Marketing, tech (code writers, programmers), and any other field, I say anyone can be replaced 😊. |
Applicants must understand they must and will return to their country of origin after completion of their program, no trick to extend the duration of program or stay in the country, this is for those who genuinely want to enjoy studying in a foreign land for free, it is not a one way ticket to disappearing from Nigeria. |
torqque7:Bike men and taxi drivers do the most, your woman was right, ignore the fool who most likely has nothing to lose and looking for trouble. I was at a four road junction not long ago, the roads were tarred and had speed bumps, as i was about getting to the junction I honked to alert other road users, some bike man who wasn't riding with his mind had his eyes wide open but couldn't see anything, as he was about getting to me I honked again, this time he woke up from his sleep and lost control, rode into the gutter which had a transformer, injured himself. Shop owners and other onlookers came out and helped him up, he got up with bruises and cuts and the next thing all but one of all the witnesses said was he's just a bike man, give him some money to treat himself at the hospital, I was shocked, these were elderly men and women, no brains in their heads obviously, only other man came and said i had no fault, they all ganged up on him and shit him up. Few minutes later I handed the man 4,000 naira, all the cash I had on me, I said to myself what if this bike man had got electrocuted and died, what would this useless elderly people say, I decided to go back home and not proceed with my travel, as i was about making a turn, I saw a team of bike men, this bike man had gone to call his friends, they demanded more money saying what I gave could do nothing, of course, the onlookers had emboldened him, it was at that point i grabbed my phone and called a police officer who was stationed nearby, this bike man walked up to me gave me a punch and snatched my phone. It took a lot of self control to not beat up this bike man, he stood no chance against me, a limping bike man who was obviously not feeding well, I had my farm machete in my trunk to use on others, but i just said to myself, devil not today, the police van approached and they disappeared, it is always good to have self control, few weeks later, i found the bike man, found the stop he uses and then I got him arrested for assault, there are ways to deal with crazy people, but it is most often not immediately, find them, and decide to use either legal means or tje street way, I got my dash cam a week later, Nigerians hate car owners, especially if you're a young man. |
eepeepook:Men often cannot deal with a more successful woman, especially Africans, they get bitter, competitive, and even cheat just to make the woman miserable, childish huh? yeah many men are children. Many men aren't men, a man is one who is able to gain the respect of a woman he isn't financially better than, a woman he's not older than, and who a woman genuinely "loves" and looks up to for guidance and not for survival. |
The purpose of a woman is beyond ensuring the continuity of the human race, having a successful marriage/relationship or a child doesn't equate a "fulfilled" life, the meaning of that itself is subjective. That a grown woman refuses to settle, and not surrender a part of her life to cool down societal pressures or the thoughts of strangers who are often more miserable or just isn't impressed by the totality of the idea of marriage shouldn't even be news, an unmarried woman isn't pitiable, neither is a childless one. |
Kobojunkie:Obviously you're one of those who expect someone helping to choose the person in need over themselves, I doubt you'd choose somebody else before yourself, definitely easy to type nonsense on an online forum, believing you have made lots of sense while ignoring reality. This was a one room apartment, do you know how inconvenient it can be to share such a space? The other commenter was talking about his age, how does that matter? When someone is being kind to you, common sense should push you to reciprocate in your own little way, in this case, "sweep and mop", maybe even cook. I wasn't going to reply you, but I decided to reply just for the benefits of any other person who might share the same poor thoughts, I can only wonder what meaning you or the OP see in the age difference or the tediousness in sweeping a one room apartment. Even if the other commenter you " sympathise" with was a blood relation of the host, say an older brother, he is still obligated to contribute, and make it easy for his host to tolerate him, this is all common sense, your space is yours and another's is just that, another's, quite amazing that this has to be said. |
Asuun:Beggars cannot be choosers, you were definitely an inconvenience he tolerated, he didn't think of you before getting that apartment, he got it for himself, you needed a place and he let you in. Mopping, sweeping and even cooking, are things you should have done happily, that is just you earning your keep, forget your age, that is nothing, age doesn't pay rent. Telling you to hang around some place because his babe is at the house isn't him being bad, would you have preferred he got an hotel room for that? You were the homeless one, not him. More people need to learn to appreciate people when they're being kind, lessen the inconvenience they pose by every means possible, I'm glad you remain grateful to him, what you went through is nothing compared to having no one, homelessness. |
They know why they're saying hungry guests shouldn't expect to be received with food at any point in time 😂, if they're trying to cut costs and avoid stress, then they have done good, what matters most is the actual purpose for which people will be gathered, witnessing the ceremony, God bless the couple who refuse to follow the trend of financially limping persons who empty bank accounts to impress other fellow struggling folks. |
Stories like this will stop making the news when the government starts making examples of incapable parents who continue to breed like rats, you know you have money issues, so bad that you can't feed good or afford a proper shelter, but you still went ahead to make babies, what are you? An irresponsible clump of cells, jerk off or use a condom until your financial situation changes! You'll see many westerners saying they haven't figured out their money and so will not get married, or even married ones saying they cannot afford a baby, that is how it should be, no, many irresponsible stupid Africans continue to breed and hope God will send down a miracle, 'children bring blessings' well, the proof of that is in front of us everywhere, from child street hawkers, to one million boys gang, and to child maids seeing hell in their master's house. The government must begin to imprison parents of underaged kids who are not in school, found "hawking" or who look malnourished, when thousands have paid for their careless ejaculation with jail term, then this lesson will be forced into the skulls of these animals and would be animals. |
Oh well, let's forget the speaker's person, anyone who went through any federal government college cannot say her claims her false, looking at the cost of food and the recent increment in the school fees of unity schools, I bet the welfare of the students is worse in these schools now. Late 2000s, I was in the system, during my time there were bullies, running water was an issue, no need to mention electricity, we used the bushes, toilets were a no go. The school had a large land area (most federal government colleges do), so on Saturdays or public holidays we'd often search for fruits in the deep forests due to serious hunger, the flogging was a thing to dread, but the teachers were the best, this claim of hers right here isn't false. The story is still very similar today even in public universities, there's no public university in Nigeria where the school hostels should be living spaces for human beings, dirty, bug infested, overcrowded, toilets are a horror house, stink from 100 meters away, my parents would never rent me an apartment outside the school campus, they believed it isn't as secure as school hostels and that only wayward students live off-campus. I lived on campus for 5 years, When I needed to relieve myself, I'd always sneak into the nearest bank, grab a withdrawal slip or some complaint form, fill it halfway and find my way into the toilet, if this need came at night, like a goat, I'd find some unused low traffic area for my business, just as I got into my final year, I had to Inflate my fees, combined the added figure with that from a friend, got ourselves a self-contained, it was my best year in school, had the best grades and the best time. Back to the topic, Leaving out the flogging, who is to blame for this living condition in public Nigerian universities which is worse than that of a rat? This surely can dim intelligence and dull wits, now that the student loan is a thing, parents must try all in their power to give the best uni experience to their wards, get that student properly fed, make sure electricity isn't his problem ( there are power stations now), get him a fan, and a room with a toilet that doesn't stink! There is no such thing as "ife igbeyin, Ayingba igbeyin, student things etc, one's duty as a parent isn't done after paying school fees, a student's welfare is more important than paid tuition. |
curiobling:Yes, kindly update should you visit before I do, I'll do the same. |
That is the issue right there, the second picture, on their database your plate by number isn't assigned to your vehicle, I just found out I have the same issue, my papers expire this month, I plan to go to their office by then, I don't want to jump to the conclusion that someone is getting the monies I've been paying while I have stamped receipts, if you have your receipts then you can prove it. |
IMF? A force making sure Africa remains slums and its people paupers, their modus operandi never changes, give loans to leaders of corrupt countries, knowing fully well the loans will be looted and monies will find ways back to the first world, when these leaders cannot pay and country is deep in debt, they then advise significant currency devaluation, devaluation that further keeps a larger population of the people in poverty, a devaluation that is miles from the actual true value of the currency. |
Timagex:If you dey sciences or stay etf I fit Sabi you or you dey play tennis for faj, I think I knew the car and owner. |
temizeee:you're better off removing a faulty catalytic converter than buying fakes or locally fabricated nonsense, a faulty catalytic converter can slightly increase your fuel consumption, while an absent catalytic converter will not increase fuel consumption, could make your engine breathe better, unburned "harmful" hydrocarbons is what the catalytic converter makes sure doesn't get released into the atmosphere, na all these climate change warriors force car manufacturers device and include am, no go waste money on top am, delete your mechanic's number! |
originalNuxx:Run away from all turbo charged engines, the turbo stresses the engine, more complex design and parts, naturally aspirated engines are way simpler, a mechanic can come out victorious after sessions of 'trial and error' with non turbo engines, less so with turbocharged ones, turbo is never cheap, even if the brand is innoson. There are other strong, rugged cars made by BMW, inline 6s and even 8 cylinders that will send other commuters to the sidewalk when you rev up 😂. Look at me here doing gra gra with my 249hp V6 sonata, I rev up and it is music to my ears, higher adrenaline levels with fellow road users and those walking by 😟, good luck making a good choice, bmws are great, just avoid the turbos, step on it where the road is free, no careless okada riders, young school kids, and crazy taxi drivers. My recommendation, E90 328i 2013 will keep you happy, a good unit of course. |
Timagex:There was a popular guy with the BMW back then during my time in oau, what year was this? |
anonimi:We know this, many Nigerians know this, it doesn't take a Wale edun to state the obvious, a hellish reality for all Nigerians is more than salient. That aside, who is the chief security officer of the country? Who is to blame for the insecurity? who is supposed to awaken the near non existent, under equipped and underpaid security outfits? Who is more focused on winning the next election rather than making sure Nigerians can afford to stay alive until that day comes? Oh well, the facts are everywhere, it is left to us as a people to want to look and make sense of them, Nigerians have never been poorer, kidnappings, killings by several terrorist groups have never been this worse, farmers are scared to go to farm, the food producing states have become death traps, someone in Gaza has higher chances of survival than inhabitants of these places. We can decide to look away and be senselessly partisan, make terrible decisions and support evil because we or our kins aren't directly suffering the inactions of these bad leaders, or because one way or the other we are benefiting from the corruption that has festered into all sectors, the impunity, posterity will judge us. Across the world, we are being mocked, and rightly so, from health care to power, Agriculture, Aviation, security and even basic amenities, there has never been a bigger failure in the history of Nigeria than the present administration, yet there are legions, poor, starving and struggling still singing the praises of these leaders, I'm Nigerian and I'd not be mad if an outsider questioned the intelligence of the multitude of the Nigerian people, even goats scream and run when they accidentally stick their hooves in fire. Anyways, we'll see what becomes of the country in 10 years, let us see if we'll be discussing prosperity, security, justice, or cannibalism and a much reduced life expectancy will be the reality among the poor, while the rich get fat and in perfect health. |
