Nairaland / General / VP Osinbanjo In Google Office. by Babayero212(m): 3:59pm On Jul 10, 2018
Professor Yemi Osinbajo on Tuesday visited the Headquarters of Google in Silicon Valley during his working visit to the US.

The Vice President during his visit met the CEO of Google, Sundar Pichai, who welcomed the VP and his entourage to the Googleplex.

Pichai led a team of executives to a meeting with the VP and other Nigerian officials.

Osinbajo was also part of a series of investment forums in Silicon Valley interacting with key US technology firms promoting Nigeria tech firms.

Later people will not see and say that the Buhari administration is working on making things better for youths.

Sometimes saying the truth is all we need in this country.

Just like that, Nigeria has scaled another milestone.

This is a great win for transportation, for technology, for Nigerians, for everyone that loves improvement of any form.

This is really great.

Air Peace just landed her first all female flight crew.
From Pilot to Hostess and cabin crew.

All Nigerian ladies.

Let us celebrate excellence from Air Peace.
This Buhari administration is really turning up new opportunities all around for Nigerians across board.
Get on board and let us get started one time.

Looking at how fine these women are, I just want to fly with them . grin grin grin

Nairaland / General / 100 Nigerians Run Away From Pilgrimage by Babayero212(m): 8:26am On Jul 10, 2018
This our Nigeria is funny sha.

So, people followed the whole Pilgrimage thing and went to Israel.
Suddenly from Israel, they decided to find greener pastures.

Did no one tell them?

No told them that grass is green where it is watered.
No one told them that grass looks greener from afar.
No one told them that with the right care, their grass will be greener than even where they are going to.

Anyway, that one is their loss.
Looking at what Buhari is doing in Nigeria, it is evident that things would change drastically in Nigeria.

Just wait and see

Politics / President Macron In Nigeria by Babayero212(m): 6:57pm On Jul 03, 2018
French President, Emmanuel Macron, arrived in Nigeria today to meet with Buhari

The meeting is part of efforts to forge closer ties with English-speaking Africa.

Macron, a 40-year-old former investment banker who speaks fluent English, has made a point of boosting ties with France’s former colonies but also improving trade with anglophone countries.

Later today, he will also visit Lagos State where the state government has planned to host him at the New Afrika Shrine founded by Femi Kuti, son of music legend, Fela Kuti – making him the first president to enter the venue.

The New Afrika Shrine located at Ikeja Lagos was built after the original Shrine by the musical maverick, Fela was burnt down in 1977.

In Lagos, the agenda will be less traditionally diplomatic, with a focus more on the megacity of 20 million people’s artistic and cultural scene.

In the end, we want more Presidents to visit and see that Nigeria is making progress under Buhari's tenure as well.

Well done.

Sports / Super Eagles Do Not Have Experience For World Cup by Babayero212(m): 8:00am On Jun 22, 2018
I am shocked to say the least o. See Rohr saying smelling talk o.

We called you to come and coach our team and the next thing you want to be telling us at this part of the game is that our players are not experienced yet for the world.

Help me first abeg o. What did we contract you for if not to make them ready?

Or you think your contract was to come and give us recommendations at this time in the game?

We are funny in the way we allow people do things in Nigeria sha.

I cannot imagine what this man is saying.

Anyway, everyone is now to be held accountable for all they say or do.

Buhari is doing well by making his cabinet responsible for all their actions.
See how all his different Ministers are dropping reports of the past fiscal year.
Been a while we have seen this kind of responsiveness in a Nigerian govt.

Rohr should finish this contract and come back to meet us o. We are waiting o

Politics / Re: What Are Your Thoughts About Joshua Dariye's Jail Sentence? by Babayero212(m): 1:27pm On Jun 19, 2018
Just 14 years. Fine though. Buhari is catching them all.

Timibabaj:
Former Plateau State Governor, Senator Joshua Dariye, evoked an overwhelming emotion last week when he broke down at a Federal High Courtroom and pleaded that justice is tempered with mercy.

He had just been handed 14 years sentence over allegations of corruption, which started some years back.

His mortifying grief and regrets were palpable. He momentarily lost himself to the unexpected that had just hit him. He probably had a quick reflection on life and its vanity.

He must have wondered too how he walked by himself through the path of corruption that eventually landed him in the jail as the wages of his many choices.

His excuse that he was misled was as insipid as his hushed, albeit pitiful tone. Truth is, the buck always stopped with him as the governor and so, he made his choice.

We all know that in previous administrations, cases like this go underground and are forgotten obviously because of how influential Dariye is.

So now I'm beginning to think that Buhari's administration has taken the fight against corruption a notch further, which is super impressive.

What are your thoughts??

Nairaland / General / Man Burns 41k Nigerian Jersey Just Because We Lost. by Babayero212(m): 12:08pm On Jun 19, 2018
A man burnt his Nigerian jersey simply because Nigeria did not win their match against Croatia.

Thinking about it, why would you burn a jersey you bought for 41,000 Naira simply because of a loss.

Because they lost one match?

lipsrsealed lipsrsealed lipsrsealed lipsrsealed lipsrsealed

I sincerely think the person is not okay at all. He needs help really.

It is the same impatience with which we always want things to happen fast fast for us in Nigeria.
Errors that some govt could not change in 13 years plus, we suddenly want this Govt to change in 3 years.

Instead of us to support the govt of Buhari and make sure he does more, we are there burning our jerseys cos we want instant results.

Please, those who want instant coffee should buy Instant coffee, the best coffee takes time to be prepared.

Anyway, who can burn their 41k jersey because we lost a match?
Will you burn your jersey?

The man made his opinion.

That is his opinion and I like his opinion.

Nairaland / General / Pastor Prays For Super Eagles, They Still Lose First Match by Babayero212(m): 5:49am On Jun 18, 2018
After the dismal loss by our beloved super eagles in the ongoing world cup, numerous persons have come out to voice out their minds.

Many think our players did abysmally below par in their delivery method.

Others feel we could have done better.

My thoughts are mine. I just found it funny when Nigerians stated trending the Nigerian Pastor that was openly seen praying for the Nigerian team.

This is the issue I have with Nigerians. We attach too much sentiments and emotions to things.

Instead of training properly, we would rather be hoping on "prayer" to do the magic.

God blesses the work of your hands.

This means you need to have a work first. Then God will bless it.

For example, see the way Buhari has been lowkey making positive impact all over Nigeria.
But nobody will see all that. All they will focus on, are the small mistakes not caused by his govt.

Next thing you know, someone will trip and accuse the govt of making them fall. grin grin grin

Anyway, work the work Nigerians.

The same way Buhari is working the good work.

Politics / Party Leaders Swear Oath Barefoot To Remove Buhari by Babayero212(m): 1:31pm On Jun 15, 2018
Members of JMPP have sworn oaths just to oust Buhari from office.

The oaths they took involved them pulling off their foot wear.

And they used 3 natural elements in their swear ritual.

But Nigeria has improved under Buhari. Why exactly are they not seeing it though?

I feel like too many things have changed under Buhari. That's how good things have been happening under Buhari for a whole while.

Anyway, let us keep our fingers crossed and watch as events unfold

Politics / Re: June 12: Do You Think A New Dawn Has Come For Nigeria? by Babayero212(m): 11:27am On Jun 15, 2018
I think we can look at this form another perspective. What Buhari did is not symbolic for only the Abiola family. What he did was for the greatness of democracy. For the strength of a better future. For the hopes of a greater tomorrow

magoo10:
The significance will only dwell amongst the abiola family and will hardly be felt by nigerians especially when leaders like buhari haven't done anything to show that he his a democratic being .

Buhari is the real opposite of democracy ,from human rights abuses to disobedience of court orders and being unable to protect the people whom he swore on oath to.

There is no new dawn anything Nigerians cannot be deceived.

Like Pig, Like Octopus.

President Buhari will def do something nice if it were a person. For pig though, I cannot say

Okonsyourguy:
Let's just say for some mystical reason the Super Eagles make it to the Semi-Finals in Russia like the psychic soothsaying hog, Mystic Marcus, predicted Nigeria would make the last four alongside Belgium, Uruguay and Argentina. What reward do you think President Buhari, in his usual gesture of rewarding sports excellence, bestow upon the team if Marcus were remotely correct with this prediction?

i. Cash smiley
ii. House/Landed property smiley
iii. Marcus barbecue wink grin tongue
