I met this girl sometimes ago . For sometimes now,we haven't been in touch that much.She told me to call her last 2 sundays , I did but her line wasn't available.There are times I try to call her,the phone rings and she doesn't pick.I understand she might be at work at that point in time.She din't return those calls and I was suprised when she woke me up yesterday morning telling me her birthday is tomorrow.

My stress here is why would she call to inform me of her birthday when she never bothered returning my calls all this while?

I dont know which bush you live in, but where I am from, trousers meant for women are clearly differentiated from those meant for men. Now, what is a blouse? Simply a top covering sewn in a feminine way. And it is very different from the way men;s shirts are sewn. Likewise, corporate shirts for women are different from those for men. My point is, the style differentiates the sex it is meant for. Have you not seen female pyjamas before? And if you do your research well, you will discover some nightwear for men sewn in form of a robe though those are quite dated now. Mind you, I'm not referring to housecoats/bathrobes. Or do you want to tell me those are not meant for men too, because they are not trouser-like?

Back in the days, women wore thermal wear under their dresses (i.e stockings, pantyhose, etc) which are sewn trouser-like. Do you agree?

The issue of protective gear and the scottish attire are just instances to further illustrate to you my point. Are you tellin me that a woman working in that sector should shun PPE because of religion? That would be nothing short of folly!

I'm not asking you to shun the old testament, but you should know that the new testament overshadows and summarises it. The 10 commandments you are referring to have been rolled into one - Love God, and love your neighbour. Besides, like I said earlier, do you still live by the old testament laws? An eye for an eye? There you go, judging others. FYI, I have never stepped foot inside a Christ Embassy church, except a couple of times when I went to their campus fellowships. Does it matter where I worship? What is paramount is the conviction in your heart, you will agree with me that being a church-goer (even to whatever church YOU believe is holiest) does not guarantee salvation.

That said, now let me break down this trouser issue to you. Firstly, where is it written that trousers are meant for men? Afterall, men in the biblical era wore robes. If you decide to go by present day assumptions, then a robe is a flowing garment, such as a boubou. Do men wear boubou?

Let me give you more instances. People living in cold regions wear layers to keep warm. Are you telling me that women there should only wear skirts, and freeze?
Also, talk about protective gear. Should women in certain industries (oil and gas, fire services) wear PPE made in a skirt-like manner, simply because the bible says they shouldnt wear what pertaineth to a man? How about women in sports (tennis, football), they should also wear skirts? Please let us be reasonable here.

Of course, you are aware that a skirt is part of the scottish traditional attire for men. Tell me that is a sin as well?

Mind you, the bible verse you are quoting is from the old testament. If we decide to live by all that is in that part of the bible, you know what will happen. Power failure at the National Stadium, Abuja just before the Tunisians started their first work-out held up the Carthage Eagles session for nearly 10 minutes on Friday.

The Tunisians, who arrived on Friday, were allowed to use the main bowl of the National Stadium even though the rules only allow them to train on it for one hour on the eve of the match.

"They were nice to us when we went there so we are just returning the compliment," an NFF official told said. However, that show of hospitality was almost ruined when public power supply was abruptly interrupted at about 7pm when the Tunisians were about to start training.

The standby generator came on about 10 minutes later, but the Tunisians said they were not bothered "It is not a problem," Haithem Rachdi, an accompanying journalist with Hannibal TV in Tunisia said with a wry smile. "Things like this happen but it is okay."

The team carried on with no further incident and have planned a press conference at the Sheraton Hotel by 10:30am on Saturday.

Radio stations in Lagos have largely observed a call by Nigerian artists for a "No-Music Day" to protest at piracy and the non-payment of royalties.

The BBC's Fidelis Mbah in the city says some stations have instead played foreign music.

A musicians' spokesman said that many stations and nightclubs see obtaining music licences as an "alien idea".

Last week, a group of Lagos musicians organised an ongoing hunger strike to protest at rampant piracy.

Our correspondent says pirated CDs of popular albums are readily available on the city's streets, at a fraction of the official price.

Despite the occasional raid on the pirates' production outfits, security agents have failed to tame their activities, he says.

It is the first time Nigerian musicians have united to highlight their plight.

'Pain'

Nigerian Music Industry Coalition spokesman Efe Omorogbe said the failure to pay royalties was equivalent to making and distributing pirated CDs.

"There are probably more radio stations in Lagos than in two other African countries put together. Lagos stations do not pay royalties," he told the BBC's Network Africa programme.

He said Nigeria had two royalty collection associations.

The musicians' indefinite hunger strike will be followed by a protest to the National Assembly, our correspondent says.

Lagos musician Funsho Olatunbosun, who goes by the stage name Xtreme, says piracy has really affected his income.

"All the artists are feeling the pain, we're not relying on the album [sales], we're only relying on shows," he said
