Meksbig:Yeah... currently following it |
DieRich5:You should watch JJK season 2 tho... It was really good But I recommend rewatching season 1 first. JJK might seem like a simple action focused series, however I think it's more than that. It has a ton of fights, but all the character work is done through the fights. You will really love a lot of the character work and directing done in the Hidden Inventory arc in season 2. |
Kaycee7:It's not just you. After a few uploads, you can't upload any photo for the day |
DieRich5:Isha Maybe it's just me but I don't really care for Isha. I can see why Jinx likes her cos she's a sister she always wanted plus she probably sees her younger self in Isha. But I don't really see Isha's significance to the story so I couldn't care much if she does. For Vander, I think it would be disappointing if he's brought back and dies immediately. Then what's the point? We need to know why Jayce killed Victor. This is what I'm saying...there is no season three. It's been confirmed that the show ends in season 2. So how will they tie up all these loose ends in 3 episodes? |
Silentgroper:One show is focused on action and fight scenes...but it has better character writing than most people give it credit for Another show is focused on mystery and story... If good storytelling bores you, AOT isn't for you... Stick to the shows that fit your profile... For me I love them both for different reasons... |
Kaycee7:Did Isha and Vander die at the end? Is it confirmed anywhere? Edit: how many episodes are left? 3 episodes? Because how are they going to tie up so many loose plot threads in just 3 episodes since they said they won't be a third season |
I don't really see what makes Vander so important but I'll let the writers finish cooking... He's been the best test subject for Shimmer so far and he's powerful, but not so powerful that he alone could change the tide of a war. So I'm yet to really see why they want him so much. But perhaps the potential to what can be done on future tests through him? I would be disappointed if he just dies like that. It would be a waste of time imo if he's brought back and dies in like 2-3 episodes with no real direct implications to the plot... Or perhaps the intention was to use the arc to reconnect characters who had lost their way i.e VI and Jinx...VI and Caitlyn... Otherwise he hasn't really served much for the overall plot. But let's see what the writers have in store for us in the 3rd act Anyway the music used at the end of episode 6 was top notch... Overall writing of season 2 has been a massive step down from season 1, but the music quality has not dropped at all. It has probably improved if anything... |
DieRich5:Vander right? It wouldn't make sense for him to be dead. It would be a wasted plot point imo. Him being brought back for no reason and then proceeding to die in what? 2-3 episodes? At least that's what I think. It would feel like a waste of time to me and an emotional gimmick if he just dies like that... |
NobleStag007:Having a family is nowhere near his biggest mistake. He's been making loads of mistakes since the last job ended. 1. He should never meet a client face to face, no matter the amount, much less let them know where he is staying... 2. He had no reason to perform the revenge kill from close range. That's way too much risk just to send his message. He could have done it long range. 3. His plan for his latest assassination is a close range kill which again puts him at severe risk 4. Meeting Norman face to face was a severe risk. Even living with him for a day. Yes he needed the gun since Norman was injured and Norman couldn't make one by himself, but certainly Norman would have 1 or 2 contacts he could call... 5. Having all that secret room in his family house. It was bound to be discovered someday. He could have gotten a ranch or building somewhere to keep those. He's a professional but he has taken way too much risk with this job and he has had his face revealed to quite a number of people. Considering he was a member of the army, his face is in the database so he should never have revealed his face on any account. |
pu7pl3:I want to download...not stream |

Juzec:Rooting for a villain and then crying because he does villainy acts ![]() He's a villain, a criminal, just because he gives some nice speeches doesn't change that fact... |
NobleStag007:The Penguin is great for it's character writing. Despite being a drugs/street gang series, it fails at that aspect. If you want a series about drugs/gangs, The Penguin is probably not the show for you because it doesn't do that aspect well. But the character writing is top notch. That is why you should definitely watch it. It's one of the best Comic book series I've watched. It doesn't even feel like a comic book series at all, since all the characters are normal humans, no cape shît at all. |
TheStrongest:Of course, things like these are always subjective |
NaijaMemes:I like that you specified 3D animation. What a way to cut out 95% of animated content aimed at adults And calling Ekko a character is doing a massive service to him. There are great characters with great Dynamics in Arcane. But Ekko is nowhere near them |
Achilles100:Honestly those fights felt tiring to watch. Flashy colours and splashing artistic images alone do not make for a good fight... What made those fights worse is that they had no resolution. |
phr0nesis:It was the cumulation of my points, not a separate point. The points are already listed. The highlight was meant to show my final submission |
NaijaMemes:The Black boy who was barely a character so much so that you can't even remember his name ![]() His name is Ekko actually. Funny how you destroyed your own argument in the same sentence ![]() |
phr0nesis:Did you even read my entire post? How did you read that long post and come to this sole conclusion? I gave all the details I look for in a fight and stated that these details are what makes a fight great and memorable to me. You simply handpicked my statement, chose one part and completely misinterpreted it...wtf |
NaijaMemes:I disagree about the fights in Arcane being great tho... Rather I think the fights are artistic...but fights cannot be great solely by being artistic and using musical notes/beats to match the rythm For me what makes a fight great are - 1. Stakes 2. Emotional payoff 3. Clash of ideals 4. Choreography 5. Strategem 6. Storytelling though the fight 7. Build up All are important (I may be forgetting 1 or 2 right now) Other factors that can play a role in enhancing these are- 8. Artistic 9. Music 1. Stakes - Apart from a few, Most fights in Arcane lack stakes. They tend to end with very little change to the status of the main characters 2. Emotional payoff - Arcane succeeds in this quite a few times 3. Clash of Ideals - Arcane mostly fails in this. While sometimes characters have conflicting ideals, these ideals are not brought to the forefront of the fight scenes. The focus is on making the fights look cool 4. Choreography - Arcane succeeds in this 5. Strategem - Arcane is decent at this. 6. Storytelling through fights - Arcane is semi-decent at this 7. Buildup - Arcane fails woefully at this. Battles in Arcane feel random. Like they just happen out of nowhere. It never feels like the story is building up to a major clash between characters. I mean, you could argue that the battle between Jinx and VI was built up but even that was done poorly... 8. Artistic - Arcane excels at this 9. Music - Arcane excels at this The issue here is that Arcane focuses on the less relevant aspects on what makes a fight engaging. I watched Arcane season 1 just few days ago, and I can barely remember any battles. They are all mostly forgettable...they don't leave a mark at all. There is no buildup to the battles, they just come and go and don't stick to memory Meanwhile fight scenes that I watched in say Naruto years ago are still very fresh in my memory |
Silentgroper:Funny because I thought the 3rd episode of season 2 was it's weakest. At least the first half of the episode. The whole VI and Jinx fight did not hit it for me. It felt like pointless fighting that was leading to no consequences especially since I knew VI was never going to kill Jinx there Mel's mum, Medarda actually has the most interesting plot point so far in season 2. She has become my favorite character |
I have been hyping up Legend of the Galactic Heroes as one of the best shows of all time, but not a single soul on this thread has watched it yet... Is it because of its genre?
|
NobleStag007:No, it's cinema only for now... |
NobleStag007:Jinx and possibly VI have a massive death flag on them. |
Potafue:Yes... Heartbreaking... I feel like there's much to analyze regarding the "alternate timeline" |
"I don’t know exactly how long, but I’m going to slaughter all these people. Soon they’ll all be dead…or rather, I’ll have killed them all. It’s already written. We’d never have found a way to save Paradise anyway. Everything will be destroyed. Houses, people, animals, lives, dreams… I wonder what Mom would think. Shouldn’t we Eldians be the ones to perish? That’s what the King of the Walls had decided. Between our island and the outside world, the number of victims is disproportionate. The eradication of my people would certainly solve the problem of the titans. But I refuse to consider this outcome. […] I’ve already seen all this in my memories of the future, and it seems that the future is immutable. I’m just like you, Reiner, an infamous piece of sh*t. No, I’m worse than that… - Eren Jaeger Just found a very good but very long review of the series and of Eren's character. Although the writer did spell some names like Marley wrongly...

NobleStag007:Not out for download. Besides it's just a compilation movie of the final 2 special episodes plus a 3 minutes additional scene at the end. 2 and half hours + I believe |
abduleez1:Cringe af |
Yemike:Again, you're simply admitting to ignorance. You are basically saying that you tag all animated media as the same superhero stuff. Meaning you haven't even bothered to watch Arcane. If you did, you'd know it is very far from a superhero story. So the question for you is, why then should anyone take your opinion on the show or any other animated show seriously if you don't even bother to watch them? You simply rely on preconceived misconceptions, so why should your opinion be taken seriously? |
