When you face some things on Reddit...you will thank Seun for making Nairaland open...

Reddit is the worst forum for sharing diverse opinion. Apart from the shîtty upvote/downvote system, it creates some sort of "safe haven" where people can even spread false information and if you try to correct them and inform them it's misinformation, you get permanent banned from that subreddit

The mods have unlimited power and misuse it anyhow...

One Reddit mod showed me shege...
He banned me for giving my opinion on a thread...when I was very civil ..

I messaged mods go ask why I was banned...he said I was banned for being an "àsshole" wtf
I asked which rule I broke...
He rained insults on me...

I waited for sometime to message mods, thinking another mod will see it, same mod deleted the thread I commented on and muted me

I googled some threads and saw similar complaints with a way to mail Reddithelp and how you would get punished cos the mod will falsely accuse you if you report him...

I reported to Reddithelp...they received my mail...
Hours later, I received 3 days ban from Reddit.

Imagine victim reporting insults from mod and then getting banned for reporting the mod


Reddit admins are the most useless set of people...they are only active when the mods lock threads to protest and Reddit is losing money...

Otherwise, you will get punished for even reporting a mod...and the mod can openly rain insults on you and even carry your matter to other subreddits to frustrate you...till you get banned from any subreddit you interact with


I also got banned from r/characterrant because someone criticized a show using false things that never happened in the show and I corrected the person...
Apparently the mod hates the show and banned and muted me...wtf

Synopsis:
Nora and Hae Sung, two deeply connected childhood friends/lovers, are wrest apart after Nora's family emigrates from South Korea. Decades later, they are reunited for one fateful week as they confront destiny, love and the choices that make a life.


Short review:
I'm not a romantic movie fan. I'll say this.
This movie is more of a mature romance, and it isn't even what I'll tag as a romantic movie. Because the focus of the movie wasn't on romance.

In fact the interactions between the characters are more of awkward than romantic...
There is a clear connection, but also a clear wall that cannot be broken...

I believe it dealt more with character choices, paths taken and dreams of other lifetimes even though we only get one...or at least only have memories of one...
It focuses on what we have become and what we have left behind to become what we are now...

I also believe this movie will resonate even more with people who miss people or parts of their "childhood" they have left behind to focus on their present lives. (And childhood doesn't just mean their adolescent age...but also moments in the past that they miss but had to leave behind)



However the first thing I did like and notice about this movie is how realistic it is. It didn't go by the usual: "they're fated so they end up together...blablabla" that Romantic movies tend to follow to "satisfy the audience".

I don't know if I've said this before...but I'm not a very big fan of "satisfactory endings"....I would rather have "realistic endings".


One of the major beauty of this movie are the things left unsaid by the characters. Even in the many moments of silence, but you the viewer and the characters would think about "what could have been?" "What if x had happened instead?" "What if circumstances were different?" etc

After meeting for the first time in 20+ years, they realize that maybe they were fated to be together in another lifetime...
But in this lifetime, they both had different lives which couldn't be left behind...

As they said: they were kids when they separated 24 years ago. They were still kids when they hooked up online 12 years ago...
But now they are adults....

That is they had a different life to live. They had a different path to take. Even though they could have had a great love story by coming together once more, they understood they wouldn't do that...

But maybe somewhere, in some past life, they were also connected, and in that timeline, they could have been something else...
They could have been together, dated, married, even broken-up etc...

But they would never know....



Btw I have to say that Nora's husband was really understanding. He did have his moments of jealousy but he understood her and let her settle her childhood score so she could focus on her present life

It's quite logical for the street fights to be interrupted by the police force na, except if they want the fight to get out of control leading to loss of lives and properties. Hence the need to quench any form of uprising asap. Even the scene in which the Irish men attacked Chinatown sef was a true historical events that led to the death of a lot of people.

it's logical for the police to break up fights but after a while it becomes repititive where ever major clash is hyped only for the police to break it up just when the main characters are facing off

I think Chao was one of those that set him up for arrest and prosecution in season 2 or so bro. You remember that Sergeant Bill O'Hara was tasked with nabbing a swordsman that was on a rampage killing people??
Well Chao conspired with O'Hara to set up Zing and the later got arrested for a crime he didn't commit. Chao had to set up Zing cos he saw how uncontrollable the dude was.

The only similarity this show has with anime is the art style...

They overdid the blushing so much it got annoying pretty fast. Every little scene, them dey blush...
It seems the writers think what makes people love anime is simply art style and blushing...

The story seems mid, the tech stuff for villains seem tiring

Hopefully it still picks up...

Y'all have talked so much about it here that I had to avoid reading posts on this thread the last few days to avoid spoilers

I think this season did well in handling the stakes.
Before watching this season, I watched recaps of past 2 seasons and well every major fight seemed to be hyped only to get interrupted by the police.
I can't remember how many times the recap stated "then the police show up"

The finale was great...
Y'all overhyped the finale but I think it still really delivered... especially the later half of it

They also did well in setting up several plot points for the next season. Can't wait

I wonder what role Ah Sam and Mai Ling will play next season
