luvmijeje: What made the song a hit not just Nigeria but the whole of Africa is the sexuality, emotion, charisma Flavour bought into that song. Flavour didn't dance away the song.......his dance was seducing, slow, and sensous. Your boy failed to nail that song Do you know how Michael Bolton sang the first song? Anderson made both songs his own. What are you even saying. You're judgement is restricted abeg. Next time he should keep dreads and hit the gym ba.. everybody wanted to see if andy could leave his box and he showed everyone he could. Now your problem is that he didn't sing it slow. The melo melo deinde performed was it how olamide sang it? Was it how lauryn hill sang 'killing me softly' was it how Michael Jackson sang 'will you be there'? |

luvmijeje: Please do give him your vote but please don't spoil Dehinde's market. Don't bring Dehinde down in order to elevate your boy. Truth is deinde is not on Anderson's vocal level.. he isn't even on the level below anderson. I'm sure deinde himself knows that |

luvmijeje: As a performer he should understand his song before performing.....He failed. But for the first one, I can't deny it, he deliver it beautifully.
under normal circumstances I wouldn't have bought it up but this is getting to the end of the competition and also most importantly because Anderson's fans are not playing fair. How are his fans not playing fair? Did anyone steal your phone to vote him? At this stage. If he had performed 'oyi' slow it would have been bad. Did you see the pleasant reaction of everyone? As a performer, you get in sync with everyone and that is what he did. |
TV/Movies › Re: MTN Project Fame Season 8 Official Thread by badinfluence: 3:14pm On Sep 07, 2015 |
luvmijeje: Anderson is the most hyped contestant is the history of project fame. Anytime I finished visiting this thread I've to go back to watch his video and I still can't find the reason behind it.
Even Geoffery who's a total package was never hyped to this level.
Now back to his 2nd performance. 'Oyi' by flavour was a slow and sensuous song. Anderson turned that song to a dancing song while failing to passed the essence and the message of the song.
Anderson is good but hey he's still not the best. If anderson sings slow.. una go complain.. now he danced and quickened tempo.. you're still complaining.. haba .. did you see how he executed Michael Bolton's song!? |

mya1: Omg! This is pathetically hilarious!
I do agree with the Op here. If you're trying to depict someone, then depict him in his entirety. For those that said Bennett does not have the Nigerian accent, he does! I bet most people just watched the first 3 mins of the video and concluded. Will's portrayal of a Nigerian accent is laughable. Not even remotely close .
And there is a Nigerian accent!!! Irrespective of tribe there's an accent that's peculiar to every Nigerian that makes you call them Nigerian when they speak. You do know all Africans sound alike to the whites ba. There's nothing like Nigerian accent or South African accent to them. In their ears Africans talk slowly and single words out. |

Truth bomb... Hollywood does not give a rat's ass about your criticism. Just as Americans don't criticise the pathetic 'American accent in nollywood '... we should learn to mind our business once in a while. |

Very happy anderson is back. But this just shows how effed up this show is. First, we witnessed the most unfair eviction in the history of reality shows. Then, seeing the mess they created, they bring him back without any solid cover story why. This unfortunately could cause other contestants to become envious of anderson. Well the organisers just had to clean up the mess they created some way. |

TV/Movies › Re: MTN Project Fame Season 8 Official Thread by badinfluence: 6:10pm On Aug 30, 2015 |
incredu: I understand u now.
In all truth, it is the same thing worldwide. If u don't act crazy in the music world, ur chances r slimmer. A case in point is Beyonce vs John Legend. Each a great in their own right, but the Hip Hop artiste is royalty. Beyoncé isn't a hip hop artiste. And it's not same worldwide. You mustn't act crazy to be a successful musician |

incredu: I beg to strongly disagree. This is an isolated case, and even with this, Nigerians actually like the guy.
In life, sh*t happens sometimes. No need to blame the country. I'm not blaming the country. But you know in all honesty, some talents are hardly recognised nor appreciated here. Take timi for example, till now he is hardly recognised in the music industry. It's too sad. |
TV/Movies › Re: MTN Project Fame Season 8 Official Thread by badinfluence: 3:38pm On Aug 30, 2015 |
All the people saying anderson doesn't have swag deserve heavenly slap. Isn't it high time we stop producing artistes that sing thrash, artistes that can never get nominated for grammys. It's a singing competition and if the organisers throw away someone with an exceptional singing talent because of looks or swag, then project fame should be shut down forever. Anderson, given the platform can proudly represent Nigeria among great musicians worldwide. This guy would be an asset to any singing competition, this guy can be a fan favourite in a show like American idol. And project fame threw him away because of looks or 'swag'. It's obvious talent shows in Nigeria are mixtures of sentiments and politics. The greatest misfortune for anderson is that for one with an exceptional talent, he found himself in Nigeria. |
