I miss those days when winning this show was about the personality and not gender. What's all these women arise talk for?
Just like everything else in the world today, BBN has finally been ruined by gender politics.

Is it me or is this season declining? You don't watch and there's no ginger to catch up on what you might have missed.

I understand you guys love to live in the ideal world rather than the realistic world.
Age! Age! Age!
It brings a lot of restrictions and it is factual.
It is not only in Africa, no football club in Europe will pay higher for a Messi or Ronaldo over Haaland, a woman of Maria Sharapova age would not wake up today and decide they want to hit all time high in tennis and compete with Iga Swiatek, can a man of Jimmy Jatts age come out today and goes into DJ hustle and expect to blow.
How often does Jimmy Jatt even gets invite for Dj jobs even though he is a pioneer Dj artiste in Nigeria?

You understand this thing but have chosen to be philosophical.
I'm not being philosophical. As for your football example, it's funny as hell. You're just taking a small percentage and making it the standard. There are older footballers who cost more than their younger counterparts in today's market. Even the Messi and Ronaldo still have a lot of value at their age compared to a lot of young players. You're using a generational talent like Haaland to make a point against two guys who are near the retirement age.
Pray tell, if age was so important as you're making it, why then are the most important world decisions made by the older guys. Why use an inactive DJ like Jimmy Jatt to make a point? Why not compare two artists who are still top of their game?
Would Ice spice sell out Nicki because she is younger? How many active actors in Hollywood have lost relevance simply because they turned 40? You just choose to compare active creatives to inactive ones. Here's a tip make the comparisons fair.
This age thing is just a fallacy and people who push it always use the 5% as the standard. And it's worse here because while we're writing people off based on age, our foreign counterparts still prioritize value.

It may seem narrow but it’s the factual truth.
Age robs us of a lot of things.
Allow me be a little low and graphic.
In the runs world ,clients will pay higher for an Ilebaye over a Uriel the same way a Bryan or Emmanuel will pull more client than a Boma or Omashola.

A corporate world would hardly employ a 35 year old over a 25 year old no matter how brilliant the 35 year old seem, it is just how nature made it.

In entertainment, Rema or even Shalipopi that is very new today will pull more crowd than 2face.

I am not undermining Pete’s talent, I am only writing base on reality of life.
This is a very fallacious mindset that sadly you people are bent on pushing. How a continent as underdeveloped as Africa is on this train that life ends at 30+, is baffling.
Imagine implying that Shalipopi and Rema would outsell 2face simply because they are younger.

That post you mentioned is right. Baye cannot win this, Mercy and Ceece have fans who have been vested on them for years... Fans who will like to make a statement by making sure their favs win.

Baye fans are just people who want to show that an underdog can win this show but unfortunately, it is not happening.
Lwkmd. Na fickle BBN fans una dey talk like say na cult?

I don't know if Ilebaye's grace is supernatural or not, but i want to claim such grace in Jesus name.

E just dey wonder me how person wey no even last 4 weeks for her set, she's now the favorite amongst winners and finalists.

I watched almost the entire of Level Up season, i barely noticed her at all, was she shy or what, the only time i noticed her was when she had the beauty scuffle.

Check the first week of this thread, she doesn't even have much mention, adekunle, pere, cee-c dominated and fast forward 5 weeks later, she dominates

I want that kind of grace abeg, grace where you go rise from almost nothing to something.

She's not my favorite, my fav is already out but i off cap for her grace, Ilebaye's grace favor me in Jesus name
She was with her fellow Gen Zs in level up, so nobody could be accused of 'bullying' her.

It's how you people say 'not this allstars' like it changes the pattern with which Nigerians vote. What's special about the allstars? Barring any form of twist, that girl is in pole position to win this.

You people have no idea what Big brother has in store for the final week.

Either mercy, Cece or ilebaye won't make the finals.

Who wants to bet?
I hope they steal a leaf of the playbook of other BB franchises and let a jury consisting of evicted housemates pick the winner sef.

There will be no gbas gbos coming from Baye's win. None of them will blame Biggie or housemates or viewers

The reason why a person wins the show has never been the focal point of any Reunion. The reunion is just to clear up some of the drama that happened in the house and some that may have happened outside the house that is connected to what happened in the house.

Nobody is going to ask, "So, why do you guys think Baye won?" or any question that may even be related to that. Dem never ask question like that in 7 seasons, so, why will they ask it now?

Who don win don win, e no go deep like that 6 months after, because other people go don dey different stages of their real life
Laycon's win came up in Lockdown reunion sha. They may choose to bring it up if they feel the need. I think Miracle too, his win came up.

When this season started, Ike's Twitter handle generally had low engagements, and in fact, there was nothing coming from his team's end. Some people expressed concern for this, and Ike's Twitter handler came with the news that Ike had, in fact, gotten his invite to the show rather late, and hadn't been able to build a team because of that.

The long and short of this story is, I don't know who made that oversight not inviting this man early enough, but whoever corrected it, May you never suffer waist pain for giving Ike a slot.

That man is Reality TV Gold, and whatever happens on Sunday, I'm just glad viewers got to enjoy his character. I am glad he got his second chance to play his game outside of Mercy's shadow. Opinions on him may differ, but he has been one of the standout acts on this show and BBNaija All Stars would just not have been the same without him.

Ike Onyema, take a bow, you legend! grin
This is the villain people should root for, but they rather choose to elevate the ones wey like to exchange words and act rude.

I wrote in simple terms the elements that has to be contained for something to be considered misogynistic, and you wrote paragraphs about how Ade is not liked and yabbed and how the girls in the house act and how there's double standards. How in the world do those things I said relate to all you were saying.
Did you hear anybody call Adekunle misogynist? Not every thing is about Ade abeg
.
Your last statement shows you really didn't comprehend what I wrote and it's not by lack of trying.
You use trigger words but when it's time to break it down, you try to weasel a way out.
A curious question, did you call Ike a misogynist when he talked about the ladies sucking dick for dollars?

Amya:
The difference is in talking about women as a collective whole. When you say women are this--- problem. When you say Amya is this, you're calling out Amya alone, not an entire gender. If I say Adekunle is a sissy, I didn't say all men are sissies. Kapish?
That doesn't explain anything. Let's use the example of you saying Adekunle is a sissy. You would say that because you don't like the person, hence your conclusion that he is a sissy is biased. Why do you guys attribute the word misogynist to the people you do not like? I have seen how a lot of excuses are being made for Cross here, just because he is innocent and has a child like soul, even when he has said somethings a lot of people here would term misogynistic.
Now let's use the house as a case study, if almost all the female housemates have acted in a manner worthy of condemnation, can you not see how it leads to the generalization? Did these guys just enter the house and say 'let's just be misogynists'?
You people leave the cause and attack the effect and this is where the double standard comes in.
TV/Movies › Re: Big Brother Naija “All Stars“ 2023: Live Updates Thread by badinfluence: 12:00pm On Aug 27, 2023
The thing is that a lot of these terms like 'misogynistic' are now trigger words used to silence guys from speaking out when wronged. The female housemates have constantly insulted and provoked a reaction from these guys, but when they speak out, they're called misogynists.
I also find it funny that Adekunle who isn't a misogynist by the standards here, is constantly being ridiculed as the wife in the relationship. Another interesting observation is how the people quick to throw the word around never seem use it on their faves even though almost all the guys have had a discussion about the ladies' offences.

I saw someone insult Baye's family and saw how Tati returned the insult to the person's family . That is what you get when you cannot simply criticize housemates in a civil manner . You can always make your point about them without throwing insults , curses and false accusations . Saying the housemates signed up for that is BS. They signed up to be analysed and criticized not to be cursed and falsely accused .
Na the thing wey dey muzz me. People who call the housemates unprintable names, get offended when the favor is returned to them.
Talmbout keep it on the housemates like they aren't humans too.
