Naija police and stupidity is something else.

That's why I don't argue with the police. Cuz I know say sense no dey their heads. It is only a foolish person will argue with a man with a gun.

On Friday around 11 pm, I was stopped at Adekunle bus stop. They were just asking all sorta idiotic questions....... I was responding to them politely, they even search my car, phone and laptop.......At the end of the day. Dey begged for money.

🤣🤣🤣🤣. Oga do weekend for us na. I just gave those hungry looking idiots 10k
After they have finished harassing you and found nothing you still have them money? Wao, just wao

Don't mind them. There's absolutely nothing happening in Otukpo. The idomas are painfully marginalized.
And the painful part is that it is being done by a reverend father. A man of God.

Was it not the same Idoma leaders that ganged up against Ochacho who wanted to give some palliative work on the major road in the town to alleviate to suffering of the masses?

Fr is not trying in being clannish especially against the Idomas but still, the Idoma leaders rarely to to agreement to fight for a common goal, that's my pain.
Ochacho is doing roads and charity in Otukpo, nobody is stopping him. If you are talking about the federal road, it's between him and FG.
And you still didn't answer my question on if he tried doing anything for idomas and leaders stopped him. Your weak defense answers it all.
Alia is clannish. It a well known among Tive people.

After Akume all Benue has had are councillors, no governor at all
Because Akume do stomach infrastructure? If not for Suswam, Makurdi would have been like a village.

Fr is indeed doing great job in Benue state, I just wish he can only extent his goodness to the second most important urban area in the state; Otukpo. The roads in that town have all crumbled angry

The Idoma leaders are partly to be blamed, they care more about the crumbs they get from each govt in power than the overall betterment of their areas shocked, the annoying thing is that they are not in unison in anything that will better the people.

Modified: the pictures of the ongoing construction of Highlevel Underpass in Makurdi by Fr. Note, it's an Underpass and not a flyover as being speculated.
So you are saying father wanted to do project in Idoma land and Idoma leaders refused? Or he wants to give Idoma people appointments and they refused? The man is doing well, but he is a tribal bigot, let's call a spade a spade.

Poor people are very myopic. While the rich make, save and invest, the poor spend the little they make on frivolities. Why someone will rent a house and upgrade it when he should be thinking of building his own is something I still can't figure.

Business / What Does This Debit Alert Mean? by BafanaBafana: 7:38am On Feb 16
My brother got a debit alert of about 100k with the description GIS recovery. Someone said it was because he has been used as a guarantor by a person who took loan. Please I need clarification. Is it even possible for your money to be deducted because someone used you as a guarantor?

The statement by the police above is 100% correct. I was at the scene. It's my first time of seeing this authentic report from the police. Let's give them kudos.
I was at Ekiugbo when the policemen attached to Area Command from A division intercepted an Unregistered white GLK Benz with four yahoo boys. During the altercation, youths started attacking the police with stones from different directions. One of the police was badly injured on the head with blood gushing out. One of the suspects, their chairman escaped from their vehicle but they succeeded in taking the unregistered Benz to their station.
How did you know they were yahoo boys? By unregistered, you mean the car has no number plate?
If it was a politician, would they have apprehended him?

The fact is, the grants don't solve the bigger problems affecting education in Nigeria, and many lecturers also do use their grant monies for research by the way. The fact that some misuse the money does not mean all of them do.

And you are joking. You are blaming the misdeeds of a few lecturers for the rot in the entire system fostered by poor funding and poor access to appropriate facilites.

Better tell your government to lead us well.
Misdeeds of few lecturers. Lol
Science/Technology / Re: Japanese Scientists Record Plants "Talking" To Each Other by BafanaBafana: 7:52am On Jan 31
nairalanda1:

NIgerian scientists also know how to do research.

The problem is, the universites are so badly funded because we don't earn enough money to fund our universties to do world leading research.

Japan has a higher GDP because it actively exports manufactured goods and services, it has a high tax uptake and it also has a diversifed economy. And students pay high fees to study in their unviersties. Result, they have the cash to pay for world leading univesties.

Nigeria, we have a ministry of education that is poorly funded, we rely on oil that at best can sustain a nation below 10 million, not the 200 million we have, less than 30% of taxable Nigerians pay taxes to the state and federal government, and our university fees are so low that it is a joke

But hey, it is best to blame Nigerian researchers for not being able to do research because they want to chase skirt. Well, even in big countries there are many lecturers chasing skirt...and still doing research because they have the money to do so.

That is why our lecturers fight with government via ASUU...because they want more money to be able to do research (and yes, they want more money for their salaries, because it is their right to demand better pay...just like you ).

But people like you come here to write jokes, and don't consider why.
You are not aware that they give grants to Nigerians for research and they use the money to build houses and buy cars?
I'm not joking please.

Imagine a plant crying out to the next one that he is being eaten by a caterpillar, the one receiving the message is gripped by fear and he tries some defence mechanism which doesn't work out, the caterpillar comes over and still deals with him. Both plants then cry together.

Nigerian scientists only know how to follow small university girls and fight FG in the name of ASUU
