Health › Re: Call For The Resignation Of Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, WHO DG, Over COVID-19 by Bahdsypha(m): 9:05am On Apr 30, 2020 |
TheGoodJoe: I repeat. The DG was in the best position to make the right choices. Prepare for the worst case scenario. Alert all nations to be on stand still on this matter until clearance comes.
Even after it was spreading, this same man refused to act. He made nations keep their airports open until it spreads. I do not believe he intentionally did these things but his incompetency is alarming.
Just like NCDC and the Ministry of Health not pushing for the Government to channel resources into aggressive mass testing for Covid-19. It shows their incompetency. As they started aggressive testing in Lagos, see the amount of spread.
What about other States? What do you mean by right choices? Covid-19 is a new virus, nobody knew anything about it(maybe except for china) He acted based on the available information from the Chinese He did what he had to do..he even declared it a global pandemic when they were 0 recorded deaths outside china.. Trump is simply blaming him because he failed to manage it properly...trump also downplayed the corona virus at first |
Health › Re: Call For The Resignation Of Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, WHO DG, Over COVID-19 by Bahdsypha(m): 8:59am On Apr 30, 2020 |
This man did not cover up anything
He acted based on findings of Chinese scientists
he even declared covid-19 a global pandemic when the number of cases was below 100 and they were no deaths outside mainland China bur some people want him to resign because the USA mismanaged the situation
He should not pay for Trump's ineptitude...it's not fair |

My opinion of what's wrong with our country
Misconception:
Nigerians like to dey lie themselves. Nigerians think they're unique, they think they are the giant of Africa..they think they are one of the richest(some think they are the richest)..they'd tell you that no matter how bad things are that they're better than other African countries..lol Most of them even think their music is the only thing played across africa. Nigerians need to go to other countries(african countries especially) to see the world is leaving us behind. Some of them even say that if Politicians return back their stolen wealth we'd be rich.
The truth needs to be told: We've one of the worst performing economies in the world...we are not rich We're not even giants of Africa.. We're a struggling broke country...we don't have money..take our budget for example, uk's health budget is bigger than our whole budget...lol Budget wey we go pay debts from oo We have one of the worst electricity supply The countries Nigeria is better than are either in a war or are being ravaged by disease/natural disaster Nigeria is not doing better than any normal country without war. The worst thing is that we're not even trying to get better...we simply no like better thing
Institutions: The Nigerian instutions are simply bad: the security, the policy making, the health etc.
Nigeria needs complete evaluation of it's institution.
Make them understand the consequences of their actions on the long-run..
Nigerians should structure their country in a way that nobody is above the law..na for our own good las las
And then the cost of governance
Nigerians need to understand say dem no too hold bar..say dem dey broke
Nigeria runs a very expensive government...we simply can't afford
Reducing this cost of governance will make public office less juicy so na people wey want do something go go after am.
Tribalism: Some Nigerians would rather vote for dirty, corrupt people with questionable characters from their tribe than a more qualified person from another tribe... This is quite understandable because of our deep history and mistrust for each other But there are some things you don't do tribalism with. Most Nigerians will hire a more qualified person with plenty of degrees from other trubes than a secondary school dropout from their own tribes For their businesses. But it's because it's now a national affair they'll now be like "e better make my brother dey there".. Maybe Nigerians need to understand that bad government can affect your life no matter how rich and poor we think we are. |

Corporate2020: Chest beating and self praise is good. It helps to reduce depression and suicidal thoughts.
Go and see what Ganduje is doing in terms of infrastructure in Kano, go and compare it to Peter Obi's 8 wasted years in Anambra.
Peter Obi should continue being President on Twitter. Major General Muhammadu Buhari us the President of Nigeria and no Igbo man will ever rule Nigeria. You'll see how infrastructure will save them from covid 19..what do you need hospitals and school for when you can build underpasses and flyovers? He should be celebrated for ignoring all other sectors of the state...flyovers are more important! If you're suffering from covid19 all you need to do is go to a flyover and you'll be healed instantly And if they now die, the state will conduct verbal autopsy and tell the public you died from malaria |
Politics › Re: Peter Obi Is Currently Trending On Twitter by Bahdsypha(m): 12:00pm On Apr 28, 2020 |
If Nigeria was a country that wants progress they'd vote for people like Peter obi But as most Nigerians are unintelligent and short-sighted they'll still choose their Presidents based on tribe, religion and party.
i no blame them for this shaa...stupid people do stupid things Do you know it's possible that if abacha comes back to life he'd win the presidency of Nigeria even people will come here on nairaland to sell us his integrity.. Tueh! Nigerians(all the three major tribes) are pathetic |

Armaggedon: A country were a section is happy that supposed citizens from another section are being attacked for engaging in legitimate businesses in a foreign land.
a country where a leader from another section openly justified attacks on supposed fellow citizens from another section by South Africans saying that they "intimidate their host"
a country that invest on housing for foreigners from Mali while citizens remain world's poorest people.
a country that has made corruption its core value.
a country were sectarian butchery and genocide has been elevated to a norm.
a country that claims to be one but during election "Igbo president" " Hausa president" " Yoruba president" will swell the vocabulary of her political lexicon.
a country where some people are officially calles "minority" while some are majority.
a country that through its policy stereotype an ethnic group as criminals while bigger crimes from others are hidden
